Gunners' keeper Stack arrested

A second-string goalkeeper for English premier league champions Arsenal has been arrested and bailed in connection with a sexual assault investigation in London.
A police spokeswoman said two 22-year-olds had been arrested and bailed in connection with an allegation of sexual assault in the early hours of last Wednesday.

A source identified one of the men as Arsenal goalkeeper Graham Stack, who is on loan to Millwall for the season.

Arsenal declined to comment and no one at Millwall was immediately available for comment.

Innocent until proven guilty I know but I feel thats his Arsenal career down the pan. We only stick up for key players in incidents involving the law, TA, Merse etc. Not sure he is the long term answer anyway, he has Lehamann, Almunia and Taylor ahead of him.

Fulham result

Come on GunnerS!!!!

Fulham 0-3 Arsenal. Final Score!

Man that foul by Voltz on Henry had me sweating bad...I thought ...oh sh*& bad injury..but he looked fine in the 2nd half. Eh...you guys in England can't see the 3:00pm matches eh? Too bad .. this game was a good one.

Reyes is some player! And for all those moaning about Ljungberg being a player not anything near his best... today was his! Great performance and very good runs into the box! Deserved his goal thoroughly

Note the sarcasm? Good.
Sorry, we had to put up with it during our "MUFA, United only win matches because of refs yo" era a year or so ago from some Arsenal fans (Zico, Zico and Zico who is BANNED HAHAHAHAHA!!!) on here. Just thought i'd repay the favour. ;)

Wasn't a penalty clearly.
You could see he blocked Cole's shot, the linesman saw it and the pundits agreed, and you could tell, like Halsey said, from Andy Cole's reaction.

none of the pundits said it was clearly not a foul, thats BS my freind, they all said it was clearly CLOSE..... they all agrred cole fouled andy, but that andy already had the shot off,

Looks like Wenger done the magic again. Lets hope its another Cesc in the making..

Wenger signs up young Italian prospect

Arsenal have tied down Italian starlet Arturo Lupoli on a professional contract at Highbury.
The 17-year-old joined on a scholarship from Serie A club Parma in the summer and after impressing for the Gunners' reserve side, scoring three goals in two games, Arsene Wenger was keen to keep hold of him.

Lupoli has also represented Arsenal's under-18s twice, scoring four goals.

On the international stage he has been capped by Italy at under-16 and under-17 levels.

The teenager is able to play for his new club in Europe as he was registered for the Champions League.

They all said the ref made the right decision in the end, that it wasnt a pen. what are you talking bout, its not bullshit.

that doesn't mean that we cheated. every penalty that is given is protested by the opposing team. its just that he changed his mind this time. we didn't make the decision so we didn't cheat. DH.

Halsey, who's not any Arsenal fan's favourite, showed courage to actually have the good judgement to change the decision when it actually mattered: during the match. You can go back in all your calls in the press the next day, but that won't change the outcome of a game. So I'll commned him for that and because it was clearly the right decision and anyone willing to refute that point needs to look at it again from the reverse angle.

I feel for the Fulham fans though because Collins John's goal looked fair indeed, but it's not like it mattered anyway.

I don't want to fuel the fire of Arsenal-haters, but Mark Halsey's brother is a Arsenal season ticket holder. I know cos my mate knows him. However, he has given us some shocking decisions in the past so I wouldn't read too much into it.

The main thing is that the penalty decision he reversed was the correct decision. I was there at the game and had a perfect view of the incident. None of the Fulham players even appealed and when the ref gave it everyone (even the Fulham fans) were stunned.

What hasn't been mentioned is that as much as the Arsenal players protested before the decision was overturned, the Fulham players protested with even more fervour when the decision was changed. I am absolutely convinced this is why the ref did not give our penalty, he wanted to even things up.

As for Fulhams goal, it was a good goal no question. But overall we had too much class on the day.

Arsenal lost it's first 2 points in EPL.
Chelsea can now catch up. if they win tomorrow

Arsenal 2 - 2 Bolton

for arsenal:
Henry'33 m
Pires'66 m

for bolton:
Jaidi'63 m
Pedersen'85 m

We gotta beat Liverpool now!

Was Pedersens goal any good?

Chris Kamara thought so

it wasn't all that. i'm not gonna worry yet and should definatly be a big wake up call. one thing i notice about us is that we never close down the keeper. if showed a bit more effort we would score a lot more cheap goals.

DENNIS!!!!!!

Arsenal forward Dennis Bergkamp has revealed that he is considering the option of prolonging his career.

The mercurial Dutchman has begun the new campaign in an imperious fashion and is now questioning his plans to quit football at the close of this season.

Bergkamp expected to play more of a peripheral role this term but his superb early season form has made him an integral player for Arsene Wenger.

Indeed, such is the player's form and fitness that tests undertaken at the club have indicated that Bergkamp is infact quicker this season than last.

''Mr Wenger does a lot of statistics, and the Prozone stats do show that this year in a few games I was faster than last year,'' Bergkamp told the Sunday Mirror.

''If I can still play at this level then it's going to be a pity to say no to this sort of football.

''When I signed this contract I thought this would be my final year.

''I mean, I will be 36 at the end of the season - and you don't see yourself playing another year at this stage of your career.

''But this team is improving and it's hard to stop. Right now I think I can continue.''

WOOHOO PLEASE STAY DENNIS!!!!!
WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Dennis better not leave, otherwise, i'll have to change my name!!!! haha!

On another note, just read this on soccernet... funny as hell...

Maradona blasts Real's Galacticos

Diego Maradona has written off Real Madrid and claims Arsenal are the best team in Europe.
'The Galacticos aren't more than a band of stray dogs,' Maradona said as he left for Cuba, where he is to continue his treatment to recover from drug addiction.

After watching Real's Champions League defeat by Bayer Leverkusen, Maradona said: 'I felt embarrassed watching them.

'Roberto Carlos didn't know what was he doing on the pitch and Beckham was just looking for the flashes. All of them just wanted the match to finish. That's not football.'

And he recommended that the Spanish team sign Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano. 'He's a monster, with him Real Madrid would be a real team,' he said.

And Argentina's World Cup-winning skipper added: 'I do like Arsenal a lot, they're the best in Europe. And Thierry Henry is a 'Maradonian' player.'

lol spoken like a true crackhead...

lol arsenal have done feck all in Europe and yet everyone swears they are the best, I know people jump on the bandwagon and the london press hoping tyhey finally having a team that maybe, just maybe, can end londons piss poor record in Europe.

Its a matter of perspective.

Tony Wilson

"'Even as a Mancunian I accept that Liverpool are beating us 4-2 in terms of European Cups, but if it is the North-West versus London then the score is 6-0. That's truly pathetic, London, because even Birmingham and the East Midlands have managed a couple.

'I admit Arsenal look fantastic in the league at the moment, whereas our season has been ravaged by injuries, but talk of London ascendancy is premature when they have not even had a team in a European Cup final. I might be prepared to listen to the idea when London has won as many European Cups as, say, Nottingham Forest.' "

united just took a 2-1 lead. it just looked as though pool might sneak it but its not finished yet. i really hope united drop points. they're getting excited because we drew on saturday.

I know what you mean. Vann is quiet as a mouse when Utd are doing shit, but as soon as we drop points he starts spouting off about our European record. It all gets rather repetitive.

I know. I quoted that bit from Soccernet as i thought it was a funny how Maradona has an opinion on everything - but some mans be tokin' that la la la to much and have to pull out some quotes from the Mancunian Standard - or whatever they read up there.

Oh hum.. guess it just adds to the discussion.
