True, does seem to make players play better. Lauren and Gilberto however were awful today.
But if we keep on scoring at this rate we'll score 152 goals :D

the best thing about this season of ours is that we have multiple regular scorers compared to 2 last season (Henry & Pires)...

Was just about to say that. They all seem to be poppin em in.

Great result and game today.

Henry has a cracker and Reyes looks to be on the verge of golden boot!

henry will be our top scorer again. i am surprised by dennis this season though. i can't remember how many goals he got last season but 3 already, impressive. and is it just me or is freddie getting really crap (along with having the worst step-over in the world). he never looks as good as everyone else.

man utd get an easy ride every time. but there are some big groups in there as well

and and you lot didn't? you lot will piss all over your group then everyone will go on about you being immortal in europe especially Andy Gray has he got his Arsenal Supporters club badge yet

well maybe wenger knows something we dont, maybe Edus going or something but I dont see why we are buying him either, maybe Vieira told wenger he was sick of playing so many games and was shattered and demanded cover????

Having said that I can rememeber 2 seasons ago when Viera knee was fucked and they still played him and he lasted like 15mins, I can remember Pires having a outburst at Arsenal for playing him when they knew he was in bad shape??? ( it was the man u game i think)

So maybe its all about rotating the midfield around to keep them fresh???

And the guy up thier on about Andy Gray's Arsenal Supporters club badge, well you cant blame a pundit for admiring a side that has just broken a long standing undefeated league run, any pundit up and down and around the world knows what arsenal are doing and have done is amazing and thats why they get so many plaudits, its just natural.

I agree too about our squad, we now have players who can score from all angles, not to mention a great squad of players who can come in and fill the gaps, but its right to say our defence could with a better CB on the bench to backup Toure and Campbell.

3 strikers left and Wenger is replacing them

Jeffers, Wiltord and Kanu is out. Now wenger brought in Reyes, Van Persie and now Angulo replacing them.

Don't cuss any signing until you see them play under Wenger. He changes players I tell you. Some of you probably cussed him for bringing in Henry when he was crap at Juventus. "Oh Henry sucks ... don't buy him Wenger"....was probably some of the comments.

Wait and see what Angulo can do UNDER WENGER ... then make a fuss if he performs poorly overall.

I feel however, that without a good new RB or CB backing up Toure and Campbell (If Lauren goes down Toure can slot in at RB) we will suffer at the back. In the CL, if we cannot score freely we should atleast be able to prevent the opposition from scoring against us.

Gilberto was atrocious on Saturday, along with Lauren, least favorite on the team for me. I hope when Patrick comes back Wenger will keep Fabregas in ahead of Gilberto. Or after that at least Edu. I agree, Freddie doesn't look the same player as a couple of years ago. He's lost a bit of his hunger it seems, nothing a few goals won't sort out though.

Sorry ruffneckc, but Angulo is so bad you wouldn't believe it. It's not that he's been playing badly like Henry at Juve, it's that he's never been any good. He's also dirty and a cheat. He got sent off at Highbury for punching Cygan for no reason a couple of years ago, he's a total cunt and I don't want to see him wearing the red and white shirt.

About Angulo, I don't think as many people believe, that he was going to be one of Wenger's wonderous bargain-buy-transformations into something world-class. I firmly believe Wenger wanted him as a genuine stirker/midfielder back-up just for Europe (he did win the CL with Valencia) where, when you compare other squads we are inexperienced. Reyes and Aliadiere are still in their 21s so that would leave us with Bergkamp and Henry. It's off so it doesn't really matter, but you can see the understanding behind maybe Wenger wanting him.

What we really need is another defender which has been echoed. I just hope this transfer attempt hasn't wasted time we could have used to get a defender. Even though I think I already know the answer to that.

Valencia never won the CL, they lost in consecutive finals.

Why buy someone for experience when they don't have quality to go along with it? Angulo would not have improved our team at all, he would have kept out better players. I am delighted the deal fell through.

Any Dutch speakers around? There's this story on a Dutch site on Trabelsi and translating with Babelfish doesn't conclude anything:

http://www.voetbalzone.nl/doc.asp?id=14589

Translation with Babelfish:

Hatem Trabelsi have come some hours for the fence of the transfermarkt nevertheless with Arsenal. The Tunisian rechtsback happens of Ajax. The amsterdammers were already tijdje agreed with the club from the English capital London, but did Trabelsi themselves long concerning an agreement. For how many seasons Trabelsi sign, are still unclear.

well transfer deadline's over mate, nnot much arsene can do about it now...

My mistake, got confused there.

With the most of respect, nobody knows the squad better and what it needs than Arsene, and with the quality he has brought in during his reign, Arsene knows best. It's not like we'd be paying much anyway, less than RVP. Anyway, I'm not bothered the deal fell through, more so that we didn't land Trabelsi.

However this is extremely reassuring news regarding our budget.

i know this is off topic but i was wondering what those little yellow wrist bands are. i saw footballers wear them and then olympic athletes. and even managers.
