I haven't noticed much of a difference between TU7 and TU8 gameplay wise if I'm honest, so should be fine to update.
 
Hey everyone, for those interested I’ve added an additional tier to the Patreon that includes a range of additional options and variations to the gameplay mod. For example, this includes a V13.5 which brings in most of the features of V14 but keeps the original base movement of all the versions prior. There’s also a V13.75, plus variations of V14, pass speed isolations etc. I’ll expand and add to this as time goes on also :)

If you're happy with the official version of the mod made with my vision, then there's no need for this tier - but if you're wanting some additional options, variety and customisation then it's there!

With gameplay being such a subjective area, I’m wanting to be sensitive to our different tastes and try and provide more options to suit our differing needs!

Further to my above post, here is some gameplay footage from V13.5 - which is more weightier and 'grounded' in movement. It might not be as 'alive' as V14, but it still plays a good game of football and will have it's place for sure :) This part of the 'Full Gameplay Package'.

It depends on the stadium with EA Gamecam. Some are a little more zoomed which allows me to get this look, other stadiums are further back. It can't be recreated in every stadium the way it is, it would need to be modded to allow that for all stadiums.

I didn't pay attention to the exact values when I recorded this, but if you find a stadium that has a more zoomed EA Gamecam look, then zoom in a little more, and drop the height and you'll get it!

I think in really early versions of your GP there was also a Cam Mod included right?

I use Camreal from Esim yeah. I did have a very basic cam mod early on before Esim was out, but I didn't want it to conflict so I removed it.
 
Scored this on V13.75, which has the speed differentiation and most of the intensity of V14, but has a few key elements of V13 to ground/stabilise certain things (such as physicality and dribbling). Really enjoying this one at the moment!

I'll post some extended footage of this version later too.

 
Hi @Anth James , I was following you since PES and I see you really enjoy FIFA lately, I was wondering how would you compare both games in term of modding gameplay ? Do you see more liberty in FIFA than in PES ? And which game do you like more

I've always liked both PES and FIFA be fair! I wasn't a huge fan of the Fox Engine PES games though. I felt like they moved away from what PES was about in lots of ways.

In terms of PES 2021, I don't really understand the cult like following that it has....I find it pretty strange to be honest haha. It's a game I've tried to love many times, but I never can. I can enjoy the odd game here and there, but I can't stick around too long! It's just too rigid and one dimensional for me - the exact opposite of what PES originally was. I know it has positives and I know the movement is good, but I feel like it's leaned on too heavily for just that, and a lot of the short comings are kind of just ignored.

Graphically, with the amazing mods that are available for it, it's stunning to look at, but the gameplay modding opportunities aren't great and have never really scratched the itch with what I'd want to be changed. I still believe that most of those dt18 values don't do much at all. Some do, most don't. That's not to have a go at any of the modders themselves, they do an amazing job, but I'm talking about the ability to customise the game here.

In terms of FIFA/FC, I'm very aware of the negatives the game has, but to be able to extensively edit the gameplay files the way we can now is just amazing. Never have we had the chance to get so in depth with modding a football gameplay until the EBX editing became possible. We can literally adjust hundreds if not thousands of files now.

FC24 for me makes some very important advancements regarding particular off-ball behaviour and combined with the progress I've made on the mod this year, I am MASSIVELY enjoying this game. More so than any football game since FIFA 16 for me.

In general, the differentiation and variety of this game now is on a completely different level to what PES 2021 can offer. I know that will trigger some, but it's honestly how I feel. I really believe if some of the die hard PES 2021 fans who do nothing but laugh at FC24, actually gave this a chance they would be surprised. I've maintained that FC doesn't look great in videos, but get on the ball and give it a run. Sure the animations aren't perfect, but try and look a little deeper and see what you think! I'm talking about the game with my mod, not vanilla of course. I'm not saying it's perfect either, but I'm very happy with where it's at - and I've been critical of this game and other FIFA games before it believe me!

Same here. But until now I always returned to PES 2021 sooner or later because I couldn't bare the immersion breaking movements and gameplay patterns in FIFA/FC. With your mod I actually think I'll move on from PES since eFootball doesn't seem to offer any offline modes in the near future and I'm having a blast in FC career mode atm (V13.75) :WORSHIP:

Now I hope EA brings back proper pre-match intros and lineups. Can't believe that finally someone gets the gameplay right and EA breaks the immersion for offline players messing up the one thing they got right all these years.

I think that's the spirit! :TU: Honestly, I've never quite got the either/or perspective, people can truly enjoy both series!

Sure, FIFA and PES are completely different creatures, completely different experiences, but they both can be enjoyed if one approaches them for what they are, separate approaches and philosophies towards football! :)

As for me, my favorite football game of all time is probably PES 2017, but I've grown to really enjoy different FIFAs, and Anth's gameplay mods (including the many variations according to subjective tastes), really improve FC24's experience. I really didn't like FC's vanilla gameplay, but with Anth's different gameplay mods, the game is not just playable now, it's actually very enjoyable IMO! :TU:

Basically I thought that your mod would become accessible to everyone.
I'm not here to judge you. You gave in to monetization I can imagine, for the time to spend perfecting your mod.
So I subscribed to your patreon for some time because without your mod the game no longer exists for me.
However, I just saw that to test version 13.5 and 13.75, I have to go back to checkout...8§

So the combined subscription is starting to get expensive between eSIM AND Aranaku...

You’re entitled to feel that way, but I’m a little bit confused.

If you’re happy with my mod then there’s no need to upgrade to the second tier at all? It’s only designed for people who want variations and additions to what’s already out there.

I’m trying to cater for lots of different feedback, so that people can enjoy the gameplay to their own tastes as much as I can. This takes up a lot more time than I was already spending on the mod.

This mod is something I already put a large amount of time and energy into every day and night, and I’m progressively putting more and more into as it becomes more popular. I’m not just re-exporting the same mod over and over, I'm actively working on it. I also don’t just change a bunch of values and publish. I test, balance, look for behaviours etc. My versions often have dozens of tests I run myself before I can get to a point of release.

Also, the second tier is actually significantly more than just v13.5 and v13.75 and it will continue to grow.

Of course this doesn’t mean we need to charge for it, I understand that, but it’s the only way I’m able to do it and cater for what people are asking. There’s no obligation at all.

I could be better with public release versions, I will take that. I will get V12 out to everyone this week once I package it up.

I've always been someone who has enjoyed both football games too. I used to buy both Fifa and PES every year until Konami ditched PES and now produce that efootball garbage.
 
Changes in particular elements of physicality result in so many more battles - and importantly, outcomes around the pitch. It makes you have to think a lot more tactically than before about the players you use in particular situations. Havertz up top here for example to get himself in front to win this.
