It depends on the stadium with EA Gamecam. Some are a little more zoomed which allows me to get this look, other stadiums are further back. It can't be recreated in every stadium the way it is, it would need to be modded to allow that for all stadiums.so in this case, what camera is this with what values?🤣🤣i know i asked it another day but THIS camera i tried to reproduce, with no success.
EA GameCam gets this zoom in and zoom out.
Yeah the animation system definitely is not perfect. I've done a lot of work on it, but until EA get in there with a sim/physics focus it'll never move as well as PES from a pure visual standpoint. You're playing on all the right settings yeah? Default game pace etc?I don't know why but in your videos the players movement always looks so much better and non-immersion breaking. I'm sure the mod is activated because I'm getting the splash screen and playing offline - but as a long time pes player before Fifa 10 and then again since 2016, I'm just finding the animations so jarring.
Surely they should have used the new rebrand to launch a new fecking engine!

It is 3rd release at row when I have played enough to try writing my wall of text only to be left behind by new release. And new release always corrects some of cons, that I wanted to write about. I am very long PES player(from ISS times). Last year, about November, I got tired of playing same PES 21 with mods and got FIFA23 on sale. During last year I tried every gameplay mod I found, even Patreon ones. But only yours and Paul's were enjoyable. Ball and teams movement of your mod were superior for me, but Paul had managed to do something no one else had done - defeat 1on1. And your mod was unplayable against my brother(long time FUT enjoyer) for me. All of vanilla abuses worked.V14 released on Patreon guys! So enough of FIFA23, now about EAFC24 mod, that is far superior for me. I play on recommended setting(only injuries sliders are not 50/50)
# Team movement and ball freedom are main selling points of your work. It just feels like real football match as much, as it can. Only animation core can sometimes remind, that it is EA game with some arcade moments.
# Stamina is more realistic, players are more tired at end of match. Don't know have you touched it or it is result of better team movement.
# Passing and shooting is perfect. Speed, precision. Only problem - with Power shot +(golden powershot playstyle) ball is moving too fast.
# Physicality is something else. My only gripe is that CPU is too good with tackles from behind. I am starting to use L2 shielding more and it helps with ball control, but I still think that CPU is too precise from disadvantageous position.
# Fouls. At start I had few fouls from CPU. But now with more L2 shielding and more accurate ball control I am starting to get more and more. I think fouls are in good place.
# Injuries. I play with 85 frequency and 25 severity sliders, because on standart I fell I have less injuries than vanilla. I presume that injuries are not touched and changes in physicality influence it.
# Defending. This is only point, where Pauls mod is still better for me. In vanilla and most mods only non-controlled players, that go for tackles are CBs. Paul somehow made every player on team to try and win a ball in appropriate situation. For example when player contolled by me is beaten 1on1, closest free player in vanilla is standing on his position. In your mod he is closer to me(positioning in yor mod is really good), so I can change to him and tackle attacker before he recovers speed or ball control after feint. If that non-controlled player would tackle himself (like in Paul's mod) it would be ideal for me. Other thing, that I found after playing with my brother - CBs are bad with controlling runs. They intercept ball really good, but if pass was lobbed it is really cheap 1vs1 with GK. That lobbed through balls to fast forwards was only thing my brother abused, everything else is fixed by you.
# Attacking. Any attack plan is viable and I LOVE it.
# Player individuality. In v12 i could say, that agility is the point, where I don't feel it. But now every stat matter.
# CPU. Besides tackles from behind, my other con - I feel that CPU goes too much for tiki-taka. It is not as bad as Legend CPU ping-pong, but I feel that passing is bit too fast.
Everything I said is only my opinion and may differ from yours. But, from changes I have seen in your mod, I feel our vision of perfect football game is really close.
I saw the cpu miss just today. I haven’t touched those at all. I probably will at some point though as they do hit them a little too often probably, but it’s not a mod specific issue.anyone noticed that on V14 CPU is very strong at freekicks?They score everytime for me when not more than 25m away from Goal

When the walking is faster it doesn’t just impact the walking though, it impacts the ‘base’ of all movement. Everything is so much more erratic when it’s faster. Turning around the players move like crazy 3x speed when it’s much quicker (off ball). There are so many knock on impacts of areas you wouldn’t always expect when it comes to particular values.
I personally think the walking speed is so much better the way it is. I find it grounds the game and the movement and I feel it makes it more realistic.
It’s a simple change though, I can send you a version where it’s faster, but it will speed up the whole game.
Thank-you man, appreciate the attention to detailHi Anth! Great gameplay, I've tried your latest one, V14 and I have to say that it's a huge improvement over the Vanilla FC24. The physicality of the players is now felt, and the "skating" effect is much reduced to great effect! You actually have time to think and build-up play, it's not just counterattacking. I've also noticed new behaviors and patterns, and there is now more space to dribble and create, even on World Class, which was a major point I feel needed improvement from the Vanilla gameplay. The gameplay feels like it can breathe!
On the other hand, that's too bad that increasing the walking speed with the ball would affect the entire base of the mod.. Because I think it's the one aspect which in my opinion would greatly improve the gameplay. I think the rest of the speeds are perfect, just that in RL I feel, players usually either slow dribble, or walk with the ball in an intermediate speed, which I think is what the gameplay would greatly benefit from. If there was a way to separate walking speed from the rest of the speeds, that would be so awesome..
These are only my personal observations, and of course, everyone perceives gameplay differently. But it's the ONE thing that I think could be modified. Anyway.. thanks for your great work man!!
