Yeah the bonus gameplay version included in the Full Gameplay Package is slightly faster. It's something I can definitely put together a little more purposefully though in a future version also.

So the "Default Walk Speed and Walk Acceleration" is exactly what I was looking for. Has more of the default dribbling feel which makes everything feel slightly faster while keeping all the V15 elements. Love it.

Esim for example no indicators or camreal mod is working fine

Hi all, new member to the forum, although I have been using Anth's gameplay mod since Fifa 23. Amazing work and it makes the game really playable and not just arcade.
Just a quick question, do the sliders change any aspects of the game after applying the mod? I have played around a bit and it seems they don't. E.g. I have decreaced the opposition Shot and Error pass by a great deal and it seems that there is no real change to the gameplay. Same applies for injury frequence. Thanks in advance.

Thanks man! Welcome to the forum. The sliders should still work the same as they have from default. I don't think they have as much of an impact as they used to since Hypermotion was introduced personally, but I haven't nerfed their effectiveness in the mod if that helps.

Thanks for the swift answer, it helps! Indeed it seems the sliders effectiveness has dropped in total. Keep making the game more enjoyable mate!
 
I‘ve been playing Test V12 and it feels amazing. The game rewards build up and possession, together with passes that can open up a whole defense. I like the clashes and the more aggressive CPU in defense, however, I rarely get fouls while I have the feeling that any tackle I make is a foul in 60% of cases.

Another critical issue I have is shooting. I am not sure if I am missing some setting but my strikers regularly miss easy chances. I am talking about one on one with the keeper, shooting from maybe 6-7 meters and sending the ball very wide or above the goal. This is very frustrating when I make 6-7 chances that the keeper either defends like prime Neuer or my players completely miss the goal, and then the opposition scores a goal by shooting directly at my keeper. I accept that even the best players can mess up in a major way, but having to create 10 clear chances to score one goal is agonizing. Is anyone else experiencing this? EDIT: Is this the expected behavior?

@Anth James I applaud you sir for recreating what a real football game should look like. Your gameplay is miles away from anything that EA offers.
 
Anth, thanks. Currently playing the V12 release. Feels pretty good, though the CPU players are really really good (almost too good?) at closing down, in a way that my players aren't. Just curious about what's under the hood-- did CPU get a little defensive boost, or an acceleration boost, that humans didn't get?
Lots of 0-0, 1-1, 1-0, and 0-1 games here-- it's very hard to get a shot off (especially in Leagues 1 & 2), which is exciting.

Sure. If you have FMT-- make sure you updated to the latest, since TU 9 as usual jacked up FMTs.

Then download V12. If this is like the others, then there will be 6 mods in the zip: a normal, a Medium, and a Slow. each of them will have an FBMOD and a FIFAMOD version. USE THE FBMOD versions.

Open your FMT and click "Launch Game with Mods" -- Then click "import" and select which FBMOD version you wanna play with.

Once you put all your mods into the launcher, click "Launch Game" and let the launcher do its work.

Over in EASPORTS app: you will need to make sure to click the app, then click "Manage properties" or something like that. A little window appears. Make sure it says "-datapath ModData" in there.

One thing I have found in the past. Sometimes the launch is a little wonky. It may help, when you have updated the game, to open FMT and click "Editor" -- "Create Mods" first, so it builds/rebuilds the folders and caches. Once that's all done, exit, relaunch FMT, and follow the steps above for the launcher.
 
I don´t know where the journey ends this season with that rebuild of realism which EA decided to deny since...? ages?! But what an amazing experience to play with Version 14 at the moment @Anth James
Curious what you will enhance further. But I never had that feeling since the journey starts the development of your mod is stuck! Sometimes from one to another version it´s maybe first time a little improvement to the previous Version, but there are more and more differences remarkable when I play more Matches. So many little tweaks to feel only by playing really 2x10 Minutes a Match and not only 2 or 3 Matches.
Currently I am playing the default v.14 still on TU 8. So this feedback is related to that TU. Played some Matches on TU 9 also but I rolled back because most of my other mods in my Mod manager load order are not updated to TU 9, though.
On both versions I don´t feel the game is too fast or faster than on TU 8. Here my game settings:
Legendary difficulty - 2x10 Minutes - normal speed and all sliders at 50 of course like the recommendation. I never had the feeling to adjust those recommendation as it plays perfectly fine to my desired way of having a real Match on my Screen. The ball pass speed is really what I like related to default gp. In default game play when I control the game with FUMA I can´t find my sweetspot related to how much I must push the x button for a decent pass speed. With Anth´s gp here it feels much more natural by pushing the x button for a ground pass. Also the high through pass is sometimes really effective to open the Pitch on the other side or just for experementing if I can overcome the well organized AI defence. Speaking from the AI behaviour gives another great example what Anth´s have achieved by building his mod. No stupid running into many counter attacks towards my own goal by the AI or vice versa.
Patience to build up your attacks is most valueable. I often find myself trapped by the "old" FIFA behaviour to pass fast in front of the AI´s goal instead of let the ball circle inside my own rows. Just for finding finally a way through the clever defense of the AI.

The 1on1 tackling and pulling in direct battles about the ball is also what have since many previous gp Versions just an realistic aspect. Collisions are noteable, over the invisible legs of the Players on the Pitch when it comes to 1on1 battles. I am having still a really hard time to stick with default game speed Version and "normal" speed. But that´s called a luxury Problem. :D
As the default Version have a little bit more dynamic imo related to the general game speed which makes the Game by using a far away camera angle/settings it looks amazingly like an Premier League saturday afternoon broadcast match. But I also love the normal speed Version which gives me a little bit more time to build up my game plan. This one feels more like the german Bundesliga which I often watch on weekend match days. It´s slower paced compared to premier League Matches.
Anyway, whatever you Guys gameplay speed suits your gamestyle we have many many combination options to build up the perfect gp for our personal style. There was never so much diversity in a gp mod like Anth´s here where we can choose different game speeds, different pass speeds, different walk styles, different animations and everything you will face when unpack the mod Folder. Just great! And it shows how much effort and in depth work by testing, adjusting, testing, adjusting, testing, adjusting Anth gives into it.

Glad to be a part of real soccer in EA´s arcade world with that gp. Btw, I often read here and the more at YouTube the gp would still having ice skating animations or it still looks like EA gameplay and no one can fix the core problem of EA´s mechanic, I can only say to those Guys you should never rate a gp Video without playing a single halftime of the presented gp mod. Sure not all core mechanics can be saved by gp editing, would need a new game engine or animation engine, but I hadn´t that much fun since the FIFA 16 times. The freedom you feel now on the pitch by the ball behaviour or the passing and the controlling of the ball by the Players is just awesome with v.14.

You got TU9 (Game Update 9) automatic when you install the game. It will update when you open the client where you bought the game

The momentum of the players here is on another level... I didn't think it would be possible to get player movement to look natural, when the base game is the most unnatural-looking (and feeling) thing.

I still pray for the day that EA decide to split the game into arcade/sim versions (or at the very least, a "turn off 1v1 and give AI-controlled players their brains back" mode). It's just so unfair that the engine is capable of greatness, but you have to have such deep access to the variables to make it shine.

Using skilled/fast players to chase the ball and having a chance to get it, already stood out for me in a prior version his mod.
Add ball deflections and a more loose ball… it really is a huge step up!

I must be honest, V16 isn't very much for my liking, but i'm not sure, how much this is caused by the TU-update?
Ball is to bouncy, passes is to much inconsistent, no more physical fights (easy to steal the ball from ai), AI too loose in marking, and keeper is very easy to beat.

I miss the balance from V14 - slow.

Can you update V14 to TU9, if possible?

Hey man, that's all good! I haven't adjusted some of those areas from previous versions at all. V16 is proving to be really popular, but that's no issue if you don't enjoy. You can still use V14 for TU9 - it's just called 'Base B' in the Full Gameplay Package.
 
Personally, I'm loving V16. It's my favorite version so far! :TU:

The thing I've liked the most about V16 is the delicate balance that has been achieved between midfield density and dribbling freedom. In my opinion, one of the major flaws of Vanilla FC24 is how end to end it is, leading to an insane amount of shots, and pressure is often unrelenting. In my view, V16 fixes this!

I've played several exhibitions with medium teams (Torino), and also lower-ranked teams (K-League), and the results have been great. Lower shot counts (semi everything, 10 minute halves, World Class). It's harder to reach the box, which leads to a more realistic pace of the game, BUT at the same time, there is space to breathe and dribble, while still retaining a challenge in terms of pressing.

I really don't know how you did it, Anth, but I am finding V16 (with all of its different versions, available on Patreon), to be your best work yet. This delicate balance, IMO, has been really achieved. It is free yet dense at the same time. It really is a work of passion and dedication.

Also, there are "medium" and "slow" versions for those who find default too frantic, as well as many add-ons and different characteristics and gameplay options over at Anth's Patreon. I truly commend you my friend, for your tireless excellent work and love of the game to making FC24 great! :BSCARF:
