AC Milan Thread - GILARDINO TO MILAN!!!!!

It was a night game i was at 8.30pm kick off on Saturday night, was live on the TV.

Can't find the english translations to the songs anywhere:(

Did'nt buy a coke in the Stadium, just a Panini outside and an AC scarf. Got some cracking pics i will try and post them once i get them hosted.

The constant singing by the AC fans(tiffosi!!) astounded me, would really like to know what the words to the songs mean, anyone any idea?? They sang one about Bari and Torino which was really catchy but not speaking a word of Italian i was clueless.

We got tickets for the 2nd tier in the opposite stand to the benches(dug-outs), good seats and only cost 23 euro.

Paolo Maldini celebrates Silvio Berlusconi’s 18th year of Presidency by claiming Milan are better than Real Madrid and can still improve. ;)


“This is the most technically gifted and innovative side I have ever played in,” revealed the legendary captain.

“We are as strong as Real Madrid going forward, but have a much better defence and I wouldn’t ever change places with the Spaniards.”


The Rossoneri are currently among the favourites – along with Madrid and Arsenal – to lift the Champions’ League trophy following their 4-1 demolition of Deportivo La Coruna.


This is a very special week for Maldini, as he is set to extend his contract until 2006 and celebrates the 18th anniversary of the day President Silvio Berlusconi took charge.


Berlusconi took over the club on March 26 1986 and since then has picked up six Scudetto titles, four European Cups, four European Supercups, four Italian Supercups, two Intercontinental Cups and a Coppa Italia.


“After the Deportivo game,” reveals the defender, “the President came into the dressing room and said he enjoys our style of play so much that even if we don’t win he is happy anyway. That filled us with pride.”


However, the 36-year-old admits that Milan could further improve their squad next season with the increasingly likely return of Edgar Davids.


“We should change our approach to games so we can start strongly instead of always changing gear after the break, but there could be a new arrival in the summer.”


Davids has already spent just over a year with this club, but broke his leg and moved to Juventus when he resumed full fitness.


“He arrived in a difficult time for Milan,” assures Maldini, “but although he has a strong personality there were never any real clashes with his teammates. He would be very welcome if he were to return.”

Somehow I find that hard to believe. Errr.. where to you expect me to live? I'm a student so I obviously don't have enough money to get a place of my own yet :roll:

Yup, anyway... we've just seen Juve fade away with their beloved Del Piero... Looks like Milan has Serie A... just Roma to beat then its ours. Juve werent very tough contenders this year.

Apparently milan are going for midfielder Ledesma from lecce. I really wonder where soccerage gets its news... no other sites have any of these news..

He plays in a similar role as Pirlo. And at the moment i think our midfield needs the LEAST changes. Gattuso is still 'seek and destroy'... Pirlo is the bones... kaka is the spark of the attack, seedorf has been scoring and doing alot down that flank.
