2010 FIFA World Cup

sometimes these videos that we see on the web come across faster than what they really are. Fingers crossed

Don't bet on it. Also what is to prevent these two button muppets from spamming the pass button and essentially doing the same thing as any other assisted abuser. And why is it that when they ask that clown prior about what they fixed for this game he always spews the same line? He always mentions the goalkeeper coming off his line and "many other things like that." What are those other things?

i think presentation wise it looks great and it finally looks like the kit proportions have improved abit, i.e the shorts, sadly still looks retarded when they lift their arms but still, thats half the body sorted!

Prior has Rutter's hand up his arse turning his head and saying "give em a gottle of geer" in his best ventriloquist voice.:P

This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa beat Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process. This decision left the Oceania Football Confederation as the only confederation yet to host the FIFA World Cup. Italy are the defending champions. The draw for the finals took place on 4 December 2009 in Cape Town.

Thanks for that..

"FIFA fans will also be glad to know that EA has finally got rid of the Martin Tyler and Andy Gray commentary track and replaced it with a much-improved Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend effort."

I know this is probably old news but its the first i have heard. Great stuff. Im a big fan of Mr Townsend.

First thing I do is turning of commentators. It's just the same things repeating over and over again, how can you guys stand it?

When's the demo coming out...So far it looks like if I bought this game it would be for better chesting ability/p/k retooling....for $60? 100 improvements yet no desire to mention things like...i dunno...the AI that's been nothing short of abysmal since I jumped ship in 08 or the Matador defending. Work your pitch Billy Mays.

My fifa10 loaded up a game once where the commentary dissapeared and tbh it just felt weird not hearing the voices. Yes they repeat themselves. When it works it adds to the realism a lot.

A lot of people moaning about this game being full priced but wasnt Fifa10 also full price yet how many of you actually payed more than £40. The supermarkets will probally be selling this for £30. Ithink it is looking really good and i will be getting it on the day of release. Then i will just trade it in for Fifa11.

You know what, now that I think about it- there's been a huge issue in the game industry lately over people returning their games to store chains for credit for which the publishers/dev. don't receive any benefit. This is probably a method to combat that loss (or lack of gain) as I know I will definitely be getting around $35 in credit if I traded it in (which also makes the prospect of the price easier to stand). Still look at the ridiculous amount of content they're adding to super street fighter 4, for example; over one year after release, adding 10 new characters, new balancing, a kitchen sink etc...and that's going for $40.

Andy Bellend is a right twat, always slagging players off and he wasn't a world beater himself. He chose ROI to play for because he had no chance with England.

I don't care about any of that, I hate him because of his usage of the word "goals" when he means "goal". It's "a shot on goal" not "a shot on goals" you stupid fake Irish cunt.

The penalty system is probably the only thing I like about this game. Well from what I've seen so far.

Seems that the scenarios are back and they will release new ones during world cup with real wc game´s scenarios.

MP: As diehard football fans, we will all be watching every single game during the World Cup. While watching, we'll be taking note of the most exciting games and key incidents, and at the end of each day we'll sit down and decide which ones we want to create. The scenarios will go live within 24 hours after the actual games take place. We need testing time for each, so we can't get them out any sooner than that unfortunately. We are aiming to do a scenario for every game, but nothing has been finalized yet. I think it will be a very popular feature as it directly connects our game to the real World Cup on a daily basis, which is something we have never done before. For those disgruntled fans whose teams don't do too well, it also gives them the opportunity to vent frustration by downloading the game and showing them how things should have happened.

GS: Beyond the obvious of downloading new scenarios, will there be any online component to Story of the Finals mode, such as leaderboards?

MP: Not this time. If it proves popular, it's certainly something we could look at in the future, but I think for a first-time outing it will be enough for gamers just to have the ability to play alongside the actual tournament taking place on their TV.

GS: What scenarios will be part of the Story of Qualifying mode?

MP: There are lots, as the actual qualifying process created a lot of interesting opportunities. We actually had a tough time picking them as there were so many we could have done. I don't want to spoil the surprise completely, but there are over 50 to choose from, and they include scenarios from all of the different confederations. One of the great things about this mode is that it allows gamers to play with teams that they may not ordinarily pick, so they'll get to see all the different environments and stadiums in the game. Some of the more memorable ones we have included are Argentina's visit to Bolivia and having to deal with the issues of playing at high altitude; the historic playoff between bitter rivals Egypt and Algeria (the first time in the history of the World Cup a playoff of that kind has happened); the USA's visit to the Azteca in Mexico in a must-win scenario for the home side; and who can forget the game between France and Ireland in Paris and the now infamous Thierry Henry handball incident.

As an added bonus, completing each of the scenarios earns points which go towards unlocking the extra scenarios. The unlockable bonus scenarios are all from the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany, and we all know how memorable that was. Remember the incident in the final!
