2010 FIFA World Cup

Vision should also play a significant role in your ability to accurately play a pass in a direction you aren't facing. Playing a backheel or a reverse through pass is not just about technical ability - the mental skill has to be there too.

New ranking system in FIFA World Cup 2010

In 2010 FIFA World Cup you will be faced with a new online ranking system. This system consists of ten divisions, unlike the previous games from EA. Logically you start in the tenth division, which you must collect as many points in a season (10 games). With earnings you receive three points for a draw and a loss no points. If you know more than sixteen points to achieve promotion to the next spring league and you can once again up against an opponent of your own size.

However, if you achieve eight or fewer points, you will degrade (unless you already in the lowest league). You get between nine and fifteen points, then your situation will remain unchanged and you will remain active in the same division.

With this new system, EA hopes to create more tension. In addition, you can only take on opponents of your own size, instead of players a lot better or even worse than yours. This will ensure that gamers are more evenly matched, which makes for excitement.

at least with full manual the game seems to be playable

Except for the fact that the gamespeed will make it even more hectic than FIFA 10 causing for even more hopeful longballs. Of all the things, why the hell did they make the speed faster?

Simon answers a question about ping pong passing on the official boards:

Q: So no ping pong passing? So the defending has improved?

A: Many things have changed, others have not changed. Just chill out about all the things you're reading and judge for yourselves once the game comes out. The only opinion you can trust is your own.

I have a feeling the speed is based on the players playing in the game. Since they are national teamers, all the stats will be higher than your normal team which makes it look faster...

Just my thoughts.

Translating: The ping-pong is the same shit as in Fifa 10.

And how are we supposed to judge it based on the ridiculously limited demos they release? 4 mins halves at Semi Pro makes it impossible to judge the game properly/

I'm liking the look of the new chest animation, i wonder what it looks like for the ball coming at different angles and the player wanting to go in different angles, for example if the ball is coming straight at you and want to go in the same direction as the ball is travelling will the player turn as the ball gets to him and run on to it?

i don't have a problem with the players getting brushed off the ball, it is a little too easy sometimes, but i find that if you try running away from the defender (if they are on the right side of you, running off towards the left) to get a bit of room and if you're the quicker player you can get away from them.

im really worried about this 2 button control system. If it means that every time i go online im going to be matched up with something worse than assisted then im going to be seriously pissed. How crap have you got to be if you need an easier way of playing than the current assisted controls? I thought the WII was to cater for the kiddies. Fifa10 is broken online already due to constant exploits and the game is only six months old into a 12 month cycle.
EA, please
1. reduce gamespeed
2. reduce pressure
3. reduce aggression
4. get rid of stat boosting from the store
5. seperate online leaderboards into manual/semi/assisted

5 simple things that would make Fifa games a 100x better
