As for AI, it's far too similar to previous games but is more repetitive in the way goes about things. In 2012-2014 the AI is obsessed with trying to chip the ball out over the defence at an angle into the corner flags, getting the winger on the ball then crossing from the byline. The AI behaviour shares far too many similarities with recent PES games to be a totally new start. And I totally agree on individuality. It has the least amount than in any PES I've ever played..
I think we have come to a close on PES 2014, yes ingame it was broken (1.00-1.04) on higher levels.
I massively disagree on 2012-2013. Please don't take your PES 2014 anger out on 2012/2013, both played completely different and both had the best level of individuality your going to get on PES, In PES 2013, every AI team did not play the same way, the truth was 'average' teams set to Long Ball usually played in a similar way, hence because they all had similarly rated players. Other teams used to player, very differently!
People did not learn to defend properly on PES 2013, if the AI scored and played in certain ways to you, it's because you weren't stopping them properly, why was there so much space for them to exploit on the wings, did you have to push up so much, if they where playing long ball, you need to take that into account, if you don't have a team of superstars or your not comfortable playing an extreme high line and pinning the team in their own half, then drop back deeper yourself and draw them out. You can naively get done on the counter on 12-13 and blame the game. Tactics are your weapon, you can change them constantly, the AI can't, you have so many weapons to defend and attack with, use them. PES 2012 after the 1.03-06 patch and PES 2013 took no prisoners.
I mean this, i need to show this i a video. People did not learn to cover space and properly organize their defence every game, making sure they marked the correct man depending on their opponent and most important people do not take responsibility for their own mistakes, they are too quick to blame the game these days, i see this all the time, hence why sliders and gameplay modding is so popular, people don't want a challenge they want something to fit around their own faults.
If one thing has ruined us over this generation, when PES got real, real bad (2008-2009) most people where playing FIFA, FIFA has destroyed many of our tactical understanding of football and it's importance, I see it on Youtube videos all the time, terrible unbalanced 4-4-2 formations, 4-2-2-2 formations with 4 WINGERS! (for fuck sake!)

. I done the mistake of going into a game on PES without setting up my team 7/10 i lose, no matter the opponent, i know for a fact others do this and just blame the game and don't see their own mistakes. This is very annoying since people are scared to admit this online, they think they are the perfect player, simply because they have been playing so long.
Here the best example here:
YouTube - Road To Manual Mastery Ep.34 "Düsseldorf" | FIFA 13 Manual Controls
Total baffon, makes so many errors but doesn't learn whatsoever, then drags that negative energy into the next failure with Palace.
Just because you use the jockey button doesn't mean you can defend. No organization whatsoever.
One thing PES has taught me, only in the last few years, much more so even when i played PES5, once you score, in a tight game, why keep going gung ho to score? Why not put an extra midfielder on? Drop a little deeper, sure up your team so you don't concede? As an Arsenal fan, i watched the 2009/10 premeir league years again, Arsenal 2-0 away from home vs Wigan at 80 minutes, we lose 3-2, though fucking stupidness by not dropping back and defending what we have!
Life is about learning and developing, that is what i look for in PES, if i lose a game how can i improve the next game. People these days want some sort of fucked up gaming orgasm, hence why the attention span of football games tends to last a few months, then people complain and off and do something else, unless they are online players who just do the same thing, over and over and over and over. Ths is also why i'm again this Bring back HD PES6 nonsense since many of these guys just want to do, the same thing over and over.
And Klash, I admire your sentiments and enthusiasm, and maybe the game woIrks better in training mode, but it's a farce that this scenario might be occurring at all. The game needs to play properly in actual match scenarios otherwise it's simply broken. I think they might get it right in future games on next-gen but will that also include the rest of the game? When will they sort out game modes, audio, menus, online, all this yearly rigmarole of waiting for updated transfers from months before the game even came out, data packs screwing with option files etc....
The most important thing is gameplay, if that is correct in the future, the rest really very much is secondary. It's quality gameplay which keeps making you coming. I'm an artist, i love things that are aesthetically pleasing tot he eye, but n that i know full well if the gameplay just isn't there, I'm just not going to worry about the rest.
At the end of the day we all want a complete experience but this is still a game, it shouldn't run your life, games should be something you play for a bit then do something else after. PES being perfect will not change anybodies life and it shouldn't despite us wanting the best but in the holistic sense PES being perfect
