Nice.

My personal starting selection would be:

--------------Hart-------------
Glen----Jagielka----Cahill----Baines
---------------Gerrard------------
---------Henderson---------------
--------------------Barkley-------
--Alex-----------------------Sterling
--------------Rooney--------------

Switch Barkley/Lallana, Rooney/Sturridge/Lambert, Henderson/Wilshere/Milner, Baines/Shaw later depending on match situation.

Yeah 2 out-and-out strikers is wierd.

What ever happened to Mario Gomez? He left for Fiorentina and vanished (I think) He is the type of player I would take for back up

Surprised also that Khedira is in despite not kicking a competitive ball for this year?

Gomez was/is injured since last summer and played (if I remember correctly) less than 30 minutes since last September. Khedira on the other hand played some matches now and is much more needed at his position.

Russia's Update:

Pavel Pogrebnyak (Reading) ---> OUT

Denis Cheryshev (Sevilla) ---> IN

Aleksandr Anyukov (Zenit Saint Petersburg) ---> to reserve
Aleksei Berezutski (CSKA Moscow) ---> to reserve
Yuri Gazinskiy (Krasnodar) ---> to reserve
Vladimir Bystrov (Anzhi Makhachkala) ---> to reserve
Artyom Dzyuba (Rostov) ---> to reserve

The final squad of Russian team will be announced on June 2.

Thanks didnt realise this. Suppose they have enough midfielders that play as strikers

Stéphane Ruffier replaces Steve Mandanda, who has broken a vertebrae in his neck.

Ivo Iličević is out of Croatia squad because of injury.

On Friday, 27 remaining players will go to Bad Tatzmannsdorf for first part of pre-tournament preparations, with Modrić and Kranjčar joining a bit later because of their involvement in CL final and EPL playoffs.

On May 31st we will play in Osijek vs. Mali and after that Kovač will announce 23 players who will go to WC

Weird, Germany playing with Klose and Zac Efron as their only strikers.

Me thinks they're going to play Spain style with a faux "9", lots of class with Götze, Reus, Draxler, Özil, Müller, Schürrle, Podolski. Wow, when you list them all, they're the team to beat if you ask me.

-----------------Neuer------------------
Großkreutz -- Hummels -- Boateng -- Schmelzer
---------------Schweini-------------
-Reus--Özil--Müller--Götze--Schürrle------

Oh, please, no. This would end in a total disaster.

Proto broke his arm yesterday.
He is replaced by Zulte Waregem's GK Sammy Bossut (who will only go to Brazil if Casteels is still injured).

Gee, was there ever a WC, where so many high-profile players from their teams weren't playing because of injuries? Feels like there is a newly injured player everyday.

Paulo Bento anounced his 23 man list, there was few surprises like the exclusion of Quaresma for players like Rafa or Éder and even more surprising was the inclusion of Postiga who only started once for Lazio since they bought him.

Anyway the final list looks something like this:

I think he's better off giving Bebe a chance than playing Postiga.
