Ronaldo isnt fat anymore.

"Ronaldo's weight problem is due to a medical condition called hypothyroidism."

He is back at his normal weight now..

Yep OPM and I bought PES4 in England so I should have known.

That was sort of true for PES5. BUT in PES6 and PES2008, :square: + :r1: now only makes a very low chip (it barely goes up to chest height even at full power bar). Only useful if you are 1on1 with the goalkeeper, and you want to chip the ball just over the goalie as he lunges for the ball at your feet. The ball doesn't get nearly enough height or power to get over the height of the goal as in the video.

Try it in PES2008 and see, it is mostly useless. :)

FIFA has 8 way when in possession of the ball. When not in possession, 360 movement (afaik), but most importantly, pass aiming etc is 360, which for me is possibly even more important then analog running.

Will the extra PS3 mode not just be about PSP connectivity?
If it was a cool new mode OPM would have mentioned it.

p.s. I agree with charlielovano about the style and character of the PS2 graphics.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate FIFA a lot, but it just doesn't offer the same satisfaction as PES. Simple as that. Fuck next-gen, analogue controls, bugs, etc. Pes is the game of my heart and as much as Konami missed an excellent oppurtunity to make THE next-gen footy game, PES is still the game that provides the most in terms of emotions and "feel" for me personally. Someday, Konami will deliver the next-gen game we're all waiting for. In the meantime, I'll have fun with 2008

Just preordered my copy of PES2008 from Shopto.net.

Hopefully the price won't change before it is realeased.

Has that happened to anyone who preordered from Shopto.net?

really dont know what to think... :( the Jeux video looks so different in my eyes from the pc version in terms of gameplay and even the running animation.

Is it me only??

i think pes 2008 is a great upgrade but now it has to have slower CROSSES and some times the pases are way to fast and game is to fast by 10 percent if someone could edit this pes 2008 would by all means beat fifa it already does but it feels a bit wierd btw great faces konami

I don't know why everyone keeps bitching about which is the better game. I love FIFA but I'm a big fan of PES2008 as well and will buy it. Who cares which is better.. play what you like, I say :D

Very happy with FIFA 08 but also can't will till 26th October!

I agree with you mate. Although Fifa has some annoyances i.e free kick from cpu. The game is still great

Guys, first game with Turkey (20min using patch) and this happened, i have got both the cpu's keepers sent off with two penalties (not on purpose either)and this is what showed up with the second penalty

The unexpected is always there ahahhahaha, great bug.

Anyone i thought 2008 could be a great year for footie games after the transitional 2007, we have a next gen fifa that is weakened by response issues, and a semi next gen pes which is somehow stuck at low water.

I guess i'll be playing a bit of both hoping for the kick asses 2009 versions.
