In a nutshell, yes. I don't like EA's approach to shooting at all. i.e. you press the shot button and it shoots REALLY softly. I prefer the shot height to be controlled by the amount you press the button. So what I have been trying to do is control the height instead of the power, which isn't easy with the way EA design its settings but doable. I also wish EA didnt split all of their EBX for different shots. Its just weird.


Yes, I did. That was a quick fix for me and anyone who wanted to use and used an older meta XML. I expected an official RDBM 25 to come out to replace it. Has it not happened?

I played some Matches yesterday with your latest mod release. The shot Power is really well for my personal impressions. Game Speed is settled down what is like I mentioned and those robotic fast movements with no Physics related to the AI Players are greatly toned down. I played a default EA GP Match before I started playing with your Mod. It´s always really worse to see how overpowered this is and it wouldn´t happend that I play the Game without GP Mods.

Well, I played a 2x8 Minutes Match with your Mod and with your recommend Settings at World Class difficulty. What was great to see that you have edited that even when I played with Atletico in the Bernabeu vs Real that the great Mbappe didn´t score anytime a goal when he have a good chance in my box. So the shooting errors are in a good state. I lost that Game 0:2 at the end. And Mbappe scores only through a penalty to me. I have some good chances created as well, but Real played like Real and I saw the Ai Players have another ball handling than in my other Game where I played a Match in german 3. League. There were definetly more pass errors by the AI than in my Madrid derby. So the difference between teams are very good to notice.

Ground pass speed was also realistic. What I didn´t understand is that sometimes the ground pass close before it reaches my players feets are seems to slip through like an lil bit too much increased first touch control. The same happend sometimes to Real AI controlled Players as well. I forgot to record that on a short Video, but I will do that later when I play some further Matches. Like I said I have all sliders to 50 like you recommend. And last but not least, the low shots is something what I still must more practice. But they felt definetly harder than in Default GP where they are kinda useless.

Good to know, so it also means when I have a TV Logo Mod or a Scoreboard Mod I don´t need to update them or wait for an update of the Modder to continue playing with them on a new TU?

Yes thats correct. I've had this in FMT since late FIFA 23 and its been a life saver because I cant be bothered to go looking for other mods or "fix" my own. I guess its (the requirement to update) a godsend for those that sell their mods though because its a forced "update" and probably makes a lot of money haha

Your mod is exquisite. It has re-established a joy I havent felt playing football games, an elation, a lightness since the ps2 days. Maybe pes 11, 13 and 17 have got close. But the job your mod has done on this game is fantastic.

(What I wasnt expecting, beyond the normal mod targets, was how much fun the game is. How dynamic it is under your guidance. You have exquisite taste sir and I so respect the fact that you dont consider sim and boring to be synonymous. The game was starting to feel so stale...but the work you've done on teammate AI as well as the CPU is fantastic. I'm playing as Leverkuson vs Bayern and I'm thinking about attacking build up play in a way I havent in years and years. It's the sort of mod that make you realise how conditioned to mediocrity one has become).
 
New to FIFA modding, will this work with other mods?

also, I am seeing where the CPU is constantly retreating and dribbling back towards their goal, really not being aggressive, is that a product of this gameplay or something else?

You can use other mods as well as there is no other Gameplay Mod in your Mod Manager besides the main one you choose. So all Face, Pitch, Scoreboards or Camera Mods are working independent from any Gameplay mod.

Guessing my issue i experienced is isolated, or has anyone else had problems with CPU dribbling backwards? I mean my match ended with CPU 75% possession, they were literally just running with the ball in their own half the entire time

This is not a problem I have. Sorry. Hopefully it goes away soon.

What I am getting is the glitchy, jerky, lagging gameplay that other pc users are describing all over reddit. Some updates it's fine, others it's almost unplayable. The curse has struck again since this latest update.

If anyone has the solution, please do let me know. Playing borderless with v sync off and dynamic resolution on has helped, but still an issue. I'm going to try and turn windows game mode off again, see if that works this time.

I had the same issues as an NVIDIA user - what has helped a lot for me is 1) disabling Windows' "Game Mode" (the biggest impact by far) and 2) disabling "Game Filters" in the NVIDIA app (see this article on Kotaku on how awful it is). Hope that helps!

Yes, I'm Nvidia. I will give this a try..

I'd totally forgotten the windows game mode fix from when I had the 10 hour trial. I will turn it off and disable the filters.

Close to all modders recommend to give a gameplay mod the highest priority. So you should place it below other mods at the bottom of your Mod manager. This is with I also usually stick. But sometimes I placed it above mods like cam, Pitch etc. Especially when you use a.e. eSIM Mod I follow the provided load Order which comes with the mod. You can take a look at the screenshot below where you see that recommend load order for any kind of mods.
Btw, let´s come back to Paul´s GP Mod and your questions about it. I can´t confirm the AI have 75% ball posession in a match. For me the mod feels greatly tweaked into AI make much more passing errors, goal shot errors. I have the chance to take part on the game other than in Vanilla GP.
Are you sure the mod is 100% working for you? 75% ball posession pro AI sounds like default Gameplay. Which Mod Loader/Manager do you use?
Paul´s FMT or FIFA Mod Manager? Do you see at game start the GP Screensplash from Paul? It´s a colored "V,-----------".

Thanks for the info, I noticed it happened again in another match.. I don't think it's working properly. I only have Fifers mod and this right now, but looks like I need to play with the positioning a bit. Your screenshot is really helpful..
 
Okay, new issue.. this gameplay mod is actually causing a crash at startup. I have it combined with FIFER's realism and I cannot game to load when I run this mod.. no one else having this issue?

Hey, I'm having a crash when using *Career Realism* mod by Paul-- I don't think the crash is PaulV's *gameplay*...
Saw this also in a couple places on reddit: That people using a range of mods are crashing out, either when YA scout reports are due, or they cannot launch into a new season-- they get stuck on the "we're all in this together" splash screen that you see when loading the new season.

Just a thought-- have you worked through which mod specifically is bonking out? I removed ALL mods, reinstalled a clean game, and reloaded one at a time. Gameplay mods have not caused me a crash.

At least on my end, I speculate that there is a bonk in CAREER mods... maybe hiding in YA scouting setup?

Thanks for the reply! your work is phenomenal. I have been using career Mod v1 -- which I think was the version posted here.

*edit, update, saw you updated post#1. I tried v2. Game still fails to progress past the "we're all here together" screen starting a season.

I Thiiiiiiink I saw a possible problem. I was gonna use the editor to make a quick and dirty mod to test. But the *editor* feature shows that there's an SDK update. I think TU 6.1 dropped right after you updated the SDK for TU 6... so I wonder if it's just an SDK thing?

If you get around to posting more of your tutorial vids, I would love to see "generate a new SDK" :)

No worries about your time, mate. Your work has been a literal game-changer in making the game more interesting and fun to play.

This below is the mod list that was crashing at either the YA scout report in season 4, or would hang up at the load screen. Same thing happened with Career Mod V1.
If I take away the *career* mod only, the game does work fine
"Futures contracts growth," "GTN Data Faster", and "Wages V3" are home-made mods. Game does work with these.

I do get an "outdated SDK" message if I switch to the *editor* function
.
 
I need to leave my feedback:

Thank you for making this game incredibly more fun, this is the first time I've tested a gameplay mod and I thought it was really cool. The only thing I found a little strange was the speed at which throws and crosses happen, sometimes the ball goes too fast. I also found it a little easy to score goals from outside the box.

and the biggest problem for me is that the game is crashing during gameplay.

If anyone has any suggestions on what it could be I would appreciate it.

I was wonder if you could help me with an older game, FIFA 16.

I'm trying to add clubtransfers to the fifa 16 career mode menu, Iknow I should do something to the careermanagerhubcfg.xml file but im not sure how I should edit that file.

With clubtransfers I mean that I can do transfers for other teams, like to option in the main menu.

Thanks for the hard work with this amazing mod. Finaly this game is playable!
My only concern is that the ball physics when crossing is really heavy and weird, don’t know if that is intentional, but to me it doesn’t feel realistic.
