Ultimate Fighting Championship (Xbox 360, PS3)

Gonna order this (and inFamous) today, but for what system?

I was thinking UFC for 360 and inFamous for PS3 (obviously!)... any thoughts on any differences?

Yeah the best way is definitely to play the CPU or go into practice and check the move list in each position

I have just found out 2 new BJJ moves by doing that, elbows and a triangle choke :)

is that the LB + XorY elbows in offensive open guard? and the triangle choke from being in the defensive open guard position and counter the punches?

it's gotta be UFC on the 360, mainly because of the evo-web community and the tournos between us that surely will happen!

Yeah LB and punch is elbows and the triangle choke is LB and the RS from mount (ill check again in a bit to see because im not 100% sure on the position) instead of a armbar with just the RS

It probably is for both systems yeah but I have friends who have join up there in a PS3 group so I'll probably end up joining their camp if there are spaces or I'll go free lance and play against them making a name for myself as an unsigned talent.
 
well i don't have a 360 anymore so it's not like i have a choice.

I've just read that on the 360 if you exit the game to the dashboard when you're knocked out before the match actually ends it doesn't count as a loss or a win to the other guy but you do get a % added to your DNF record. No idea if the PS3 will do the same (my guess is it will) but i might stay away from the online side until they fix that.

The more i build up my fighter the better (than it already is) the game is becoming

I choose Kickboxing and BJJ as my discipline's and i am now at level 2 BJJ although my stats aint to good im doing pretty well.

I just absolutely dominated Keith Jardine and finished the fight in under a minute due to submission :)

This is how it went down. I knew i couldnt do anything in the standup against him and what we me getting my head knocked off in my previous fight with Wanderlei Silva i didnt even wanna try. So i went for a takedown straight away which he stuffed so i pulled guard. From there a went into a rubber guard and transitioned into a full mount, landed a few blows and blocked his attempts at spinning onto his back (he did go into that once but i went back to mount) from there after a few more blows i went into a armbar for the finish :)

Im loving this game, especially now i know its possible to sub guys early :LOL:

are you referring to Rads post? If you are he means a website with a leaderboard being run so you can challenge for belts and what not
 
i meant any online ranked match. someone on caws.ws was saying he was trying to get the win X amount of games online achievement and everyone quit before the replays finished and he assumed he was still getting wins but his stats say he's won none and his DNF % was really high
 
I shall be getting it for the PS3 too. Probably not at launch. Maybe a month or so after.
 
i was going to get infamous and get this later but if play have pulled the beta so only they have it then i won't be ordering with those bastards and ill just get this this week instead.

Ah you edited before i saw the bit underneath :LOL:

I have just got to level 3 BJJ!

I can now mount from half guard, triangle sub from mount, north/south choke, arm bar sub from punch reverse and flying armbar :)

This game is TERRIBLE online. I have a super fast connection, and yet somehow ALL my matches have been plagued by lag. Anybody else expereincing this type of problem?
 
I have a friend who was playing the game last night on the PS3 who sent me this message

"They ruined the UFC game. They totally screwed up the ground game. It is not like the demo at all"

Any ideas what they're on about Coopz?

The ground game is fine on PS3. So far everyone I have played online has no clue how to defend transitions and such on the ground. LAG kills this game for me though. Looks like I'll be playing friends offline.
 
I'll be getting the game today for PS3, so fight me you scrud buckets!

If nothing else it'll be a good way of seeing how bad the lag is considering I'm in Sweden, and most of you are not.

I don't like how they're trying to review the game as a 'fighting' game or 'beat em-up' in the game category as Street fighter 4. The closing comment:

If you're comfortable enough in your sexuality to be able to play game where muscular men regularly tussle with each other on the ground, as well as beating each other senseless, then Undisputed comes highly recommended.

How's the Create A fighter mode? Can you make real world fighters easily? Is there any kind of numerical formula for the CAF's or is it Fifa like bullshit with sliders that mean you can't share anything you make with friends?
