The TV Show Thread

just saw the half of an episode of ER yesterday...Ray Liotta was in it, he played an alcoholic who was about to die and i think he stabbed even someone in a bar or something (i only saw the end)....MAN he pulled it off!!! brought tears to my eye in that last 15 minutes

Person of Interest is being more & more legendary .. some answers about the machine were provided in the 1st episode of the 2nd season
and great 2nd episode which revealed a part of ROOT's past ..
then ep 3 & 4 were typical "Numbers" episodes, but with a great amount of thriller and action ..

Sons of Anarchy absolutely epic this season is immense.

I really fancy this to be honest.

I've been looking for a T.V series to watch ever since I concluded Breaking Bad. I've contemplated The Wire, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter and Six Feet Under. I did watch the first episode of Game of Thrones but decided against that.

At the moment I think the front runner is Sons of Anarchy......

Arrow is excellent, pilot was so good I watched it alone then decided the wife would like it and I watched it a second time the same day with her and still enjoyed it.

I think some of the acting in Homeland is great gerd. I think it does a very good job of making you want more. I'm on season 2 and think it's currently one of my favourite shows.

Its brilliant, to be honest it had like 2/3 moments I feared it was going the wrong way, but then some very emotional acting comes and punch me right in the stomach and bring it all back. It deserves the hype its getting and its one of my favorites shows as well.

Yup enjoying Homeland a lot, doesn't follow the traditional rules of TV, good stuff.

what an episode of Person of Interest (I mean episode 5)
absolutely amazung !!!
one of the best episodes I have ever seen
so great to see different themes occuring during the show
Root, Elias, HR head, Cara, CIA, John and Finch pasts, The guys who know about the machine ... also Zoe's special apperances, and I think Maxine will re appear too ..

POI is simply a legendary show ..

Homeland just kicked me right in the nuts, I was expecting a filler episode where nothing would happen then comes the kick.
Its been my favorite show to watch so far this season.

Not sure I'll stick with Boardwalk Empire for much longer. I was expecting it to be a TV version of The Godfather/Goodfella's etc but it's just not. The first season was pretty good, second was good, third is just ... meh. Not enough is happening and it's lost a lot of appeal especially since
Jimmy died. Al Capone and Richard Harrow need to be more involved.

I just bought Homeland on DVD, it got fnatastic reviews.
Anybody here has seen it?

I think the first first season is very good, except for some typical american crap (like someone saying "2 of the 3 more important people of the free world" referring to american president and vice-president, which is absolutely pathetic political bullshit... "free world"... come on...).

But out of that, as a TV product is very good. To me, the best moments of the show were around episodes 3-5, which were VERY good.

I have yet to start watching the 2nd season, waiting until I can watch it entirely in a week.

I agree at some degree, but to me the appeal of the series is in the characters and small details, which I love. I think the end of season 2 was amazing and promised a sense of change that (up to now) hasn't been delivered. And probably there's a feeling of deja vu in some aspects. But I enjoy the show anyway. I could spend hours watching Nucky Thompson just being alive, no matter what he did.

Also, I still maintain that Sleeper Cell is a better series than Homeland.

It's quality Gerd. Enjoy.

Person of Interest I've enjoyed.

Breaking Bad is the mutts nuts! I watched the first half of Season 5 over two evenings. Can't get enough of the show. Gutted now though as I have to wait ages for the second half of the series to be released.

Think the show is absolutely fab, Nucky has changed in his character giving him an edge and Bobby Cannavale's character Gyp Rosetti is brilliant.

I might start watching Homeland, not sure, may give it a go.

Although Boardwalk and Walking Dead are my shows at the moment, only watched the 1st episode so far of WD.

Just started on Homeland, I'll see how it develops.

Just watched 2 episodes so far, so not much happened.

Shit has seriously hit the fan in Walking Dead.

I'm loving Homeland

I doubt they can keep up the pace like they have been though so will it eventually turn shit

Yeah I'm a few episodes in, I'll see how it develops.

I think once that is out the way, I might turn to Sons of Anarchy and see how that goes.

Yeah just started watching Chicago Fire which has been pretty awesome. Never thought Billy from Neighbours was a good actor up until now.

Person of Interest is also amazing. Love Jim Caviezel and his quiet voice. Hope more is revealed about the machine and we get to see Reese and Kara face off.

Also, The Walking Dead has got to be one the finest shows around, especially if you read the graphic novels. Major surprises in store.

Dexter goes from strength to strength. Can't wait to see what happens over the next season and a half between Dexter and Isaac Sirko. Ray Stevenson is a quality actor btw:WORSHIP:

Also watching Homeland, Boardwalk Empire and The Mentalist but starting to lose interest a little bit. Although Bobby Cannavale is terrifying as Gyp Rosetti. He was quite funny in The Other Guys. Didn't enjoy seeing his wang though:SHOCK:

I watch a lot of tv shows, especially on Mondays. Its ruining my life...

Bobby Cannavale has been an absolute brilliant addition to the cast of BE.

And I'm with you with Waling Dead, absolutely fantastic viewing.

just watched the 5 seasons of Californication

not a great show but got something charming about it, even the main character is annoying but the character of Karen is nothing like a dream girl though after 60 episodes still dunno why Hank is in love with her and they just threw away that lenny kravitz like guy without explanations in the 6th season...but it is charming because damn i just wish now that bastard Hanky could be happy in the end from all of my heart

Finished watching season 3 of Boardwalk Empire. I loved it and though it doesn't have some of the thrilling moments of the second season it's an enormous work of studying the characters and attention to detail. Can't wait for the next season.
