The TV Show Thread

Well finally finished The Shield. Absolutely brilliant viewing, although not a fan of the conclusion.

I'm a good ending kind a guy, and was hoping at least Vic and Ronnie would get away with it, but not to be, with the obvious exception of Vic. Horrible ending to Shane and his family though. Saying good ending, however Vic in the end obviously brought everything upon himself, but still.

Defo nip and tuck with Sopranos as my fav tv show.

Ah the Shield is just awesome, loved pretty much every episode, not many shows have that. I liked the ending - was as gritty in tone as the rest of the series and I think it was just deserts for all concerned.

Has anybody seen The increasingly poor decisions of Todd Margaret?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1695989/

It has only two seasons of 6 episodes each (25mins an episode) and was on a few years ago but I missed it. A Friend recommended it to me and it is well worth watching, some really funny moments in this series.

Yea I started to watch them on BT Vision. Its pretty good. Not always a fan of mixing UK and US actors as I think it jars too much, but they just about get away with it I feel.

Best bits always feature Will Arnett :D

Eastbound and Down finale was awesome. Loved it the whole way through.

I liked the ending, that was well done, but I have a problem with season 3: the first part of the season was over-ze-top (for instance, the cannon scene and the club scene are unreal !)

Bloody hell, you're going through a golden age of TV right now!

You'll love Breaking Bad, and it'll rival others for #1 on your list.

You might need a little patience with the first 2 episodes though.
I found them a bit boring, and nearly switched off. I'm glad I didn't!

I stopped watching Breaking Bad in the 2nd season, had the feeling it was dragging the story all the time around the same twists and couldn't stand the supporting roles. I'm in the minority here, I know!

I don't watch T.V., I really don't have time. I think the last thing I watched on T.V, bar sport, was the X-Files, many moons ago.

My mate told me about Breaking Bad, and copied me Series 1 and 2 onto my hard-drive. It sat there for 9 months. I only recently decided to see what all the fuss was about, and I must say, I'm hooked.

Myself and the missis have the last episode of Series 2 to watch tonight, with Series 3 and 4 already sat waiting. I love it, absolutely love it.

I'm thinking of pushing out the boat and getting Game of Thrones, that also seems to get great reviews here, there and everywhere.

Jim, the crazy part is Breaking Bad only gets better. You won't believe what you see the next two seasons. It's a truly amazing TV show. I can't remember if Gustavo has been introduced yet, but he's one of the greatest TV 'villains', in my opinion.

Yeah Will Arnett steals the show

No he hasn't yet, but I'm absolutely loving everything about Saul Goodman. He is my favourite character amongst a bunch of great characters. :TU:

Excellent IMO, didn't watch the original so not bothered about comparisons.

Southland has been renewed, excellent news as this season was really strong :)

OK thanks

Ill add that to my list of things to watch with Breaking Bad and The Shield :)

I've seen the original Killing.
The first series is decent (too long), but the second is excellent (they learnt from their mistakes).

Other good Scandinavian series: The Bridge and Borgen (about a female prime minister in Denmark, i loved the first season and am currently watching the second).

LOL, yeah trying to get a wad of stuff watched.

Into the 4th or 5th episode, it's quite good, it's early days though.

Same here. Just couldnt get into it. The whole suburb/white trash aspect really annoys me, the same with british series and chavs.

Sometimes I think it's not worth starting to watch a show until it's completed at least one season. Crazy how quick the US are to cancel shows.

Season 4 of Fringe ended this weekend, really enjoyed this season...

The 5th and final season has been given the greenlight, 13eps to finish it off, cant wait!

Yeah was excellent, and the renewal is a little bittersweet, awesome it got renewed but sad it's only a 13 episode final season.

I think its a good thing...

after 4 seasons we know the formula, 22 epsidoes is too much, so to cut all the episodes of blatant filler should make it a must see, plus maybe bigger budget over the 13eps...

just watched Person of interest's Finale
best episode I've seen since Lost & Prison Break ..
OMG ! OMG !
that's unbelievable..

It's one of the best first seasons of TV I've seen in a long time, terrific series, I love how it can be very dark, but sometimes very, very funny, in the kind of dry way I really like :)

Half way through Season 2 of Breaking Bad, it's really good, although hardly up there with the best I've watched.

Although I like humour, think there's too much of it thrown in.

I remember many many moons ago playing an adult based comedy game on-line called Booty Call. The guy was called Jack, the boy who plays Jessie Pinkman sounds exactly like him. :D

Onto the 4th season of Breaking Bad, last season ended brilliantly, and obviously a good start in 1st episode.

Funnily enough, 2nd episode in I see Whitney Ellsworth from Deadwood in it, and then notice that Anna Gunn was Seth's wife.
