Just watched S01E01 of Breaking Bad, pretty funny stuff :)

Edit: EP02 was even better

What an awesome finale to Chuck that was!!!!!!!

One of the greatest finale ever. Everything felt right.
Morgan, his MP5 and the Cobra reference was priceless :APPLAUD:.

You can have answers and develop characters during a finale :).
Can't wait to see where the show is going now.

10/10

Now that the football season is over I'm getting very short on shows to watch just on my own when the wife's working or sleeping, so I figured I'd try out two of the new comedies, got the first 4 episodes of Community and the first 4 of Parks and Recreation, watched them one after the other alternating between shows, P&R I liked immediately and it got stronger with each episode, Community I thought was really shit for the first 2 episodes but then suddenly with episode 3 things improved dramatically, I just hope that annoying English character is killed off, he's basically a very poor man's Steve Coogan/ Alan Partridge.

Can anyone recommend a show to replace Flashforward? It became a routine for me and my girlfriend to settle down and watch Flashforward on a Friday night and it finishes this week.

She's said she liked the suspense of it but doesn't want a show with too much, same with action.

I was thinking 24 but I've seen it all now. Maybe The Wire? Jericho might've been a good one too.

Actually what was the show about the town where everyone was a genius and a cop had to keep fixing things? Started with an E? Does that have any kind of storyline which carries over with a bit of suspense?

Eureka. Thanks for reminding me to continue :).
I've watch the 2 first seasons and it was quite nice with a good cast. Not the show of the deceny but a good guilty pleasure for the family. It's fun and interesting. I think it's perfect for your GF.

But I'd suggest Justified if you want something realistic :D.

Eureka perked her interest straight away so looks like that's the choice, although I'll also show her the pilot of Justified and see what she thinks.

Not convinced about Justified myself to be honest, it doesn't look great from the trailers but there's good impressions from people here so I'll definately follow up your advice :)

Eureka's a great show to watch retrospectively, was a right nightmare for those of us who started from the beginning, was always stopping and starting and taking huge gaps mid season :(

Chuck - 318-319

Crap, so was two episodes, I started watching it and thought wtf this makes no sense, unless they are gonna do that usual action flick that you see the result before the action.
Stopped after 10min though, but 18 is still ruined for me, will try to watch both later.

You misunderstood me mate, I said crap I started watching the 19, didn't knew it was two episodes so I had to stop after 10mins cause wasn't making any sense, and I haven't watched anything apart from those 10mins yet.
Sorry I should have wrote I started watching the 19.

Aha I'm with you now sorry, I hate it when that happens, we just did the same with 24, started watching episode 23 and during the "previously" there's a bunch of stuff we missed thus spoiling episode 22 that we apparently started but never finished :(

 That happened quite a few times with me,
This time I kept waiting for the fade out and something like '24 Hours earlier' but it just didn't happen.
Then I finally came here and saw the 318-319 post...

About Community, yea it improves a lot and the english guy is only in a few episodes.
At first you think its just a stupid sitcom, but once the characters are established the fun beggins.

Bit disappointed with the finale of House this season. Its almost as if...

They werent 100% of getting a new season, so they said - here, House and Cuddy finally get it together, and thats it. Not cliffhanger, no major drama etc.

Was a real good episode, but that was just a bit of an odd ending...

Deadwood - S3

With Carnivale, this is one of the show I will miss the most.
That was incredible. A lot characters, a lot of interesting plots.

Bullock (Olyphant) is far really from being the best character but when he gets mad, something crazy is always happening.

"When I say "Go f*ck yourself Sheriff", will you put that down to drunkenness or a high estimate of your athleticism ?"

10/10

Definitely, everyone should have the three seasons of Deadwood. :)

Never watched a single episode, I should check it out I guess.

It's like everything good on TV finished at the same time (Lost, 24, Fringe, Chuck, House, Big Bang Theory) and now there's just a load of crap on :(.

At least the World Cup is on now though! :D.

Like everyone else I'm suffering a real lull of shows, besides the ones I watch with the wife I watch the following on my own (or when the wife's sleeping):

Stargate Universe
Sanctuary
Breaking Bad
Parks and Recreation
Modern Family
How I Met Your Mother
Community
(above 4 comedies are placed in order of greatness).

Anyone watched/watching Spartacus:Blood and Sand?

Really getting good now. First couple of episodes are 'meh', but now its getting much better.

Over the top violence (like 300) and loads of sexy time (with Xena Princess Warrioer Lucy Lawless!).

Really good show if you are out of TV to watch.

Nothing beats the Wire

Just finished watching Season 4 and it was the best i have seen on TV

Getting into dexter at the moment. Really enjoying it (halfway through season 1). Have got breaking bad (3 seasons) ready to start.

Anybody watch Luther on the BBC? I'm really enjoying it, need to watch the final episode (6) but so far it's been really impressive.

Haven't been able to get into spartacus, do they actually start going to other places besides the training area and the arena?
