Moon - 8/10

Very good movie, similar to Castaway for me and certainly has you thinking about it after the film has finished. Well recommended.

I read a review of this in Empire, sounds really good, got it pre ordered on BD.

On a side note, I got my December issue of Empire yesterday and its got a Ron Burgundy on the cover. Icons of the decade

Ip Man - 9/10
Great movie, some fantastic fight scenes. Like Kung Fu movies used to be and based on a true story too...
yea i saw that a year ago and loved it. one of the greatest martial arts movie ever made imo.

great storyline ,acting and acting.

Anyways i just saw Up: good movie but come on! fucksakes the media really hyped the shit out of this one saying its very emotional etc.

yea it has its moments definetly but overated slightly.

8.5/10 for me. it got a bit stupid in the end with **** flying the plane lol

Just saw the trailer for "The Fourth Kind", that looks pretty good!! Looks really scary :JAY: :D

Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma

Most disturbing film ever made...director murdered 3 days after it was released

This is a really obscure post!

Why would you think anyone on this forum would be interested in this film?

Have you read the comments of the films above and from previous posts that the members are talking about?

Anyway.....

Public Enemies - Blu-Ray = 6/10

Very disapointed by this. I've had it in my collection for a while and watched it the other night... Terrible character development, overly long gun shoot out sequences, no acting really takes place!

A quality cast that wasn't used to it's potential... Just a load of male actors in their 30's and 40's looking cool in suits not really doing much other than staring moodily on screen for 2 hours.

Give me Goodfellas or Casino anyday....

What do you mean? Why wouldn't people be interested? Sometimes you have to embrace these things in life just so you can say you were one of the few who seen it...

I'm as liberal and open minded as they come, just generally these kind of films aren't relevant to what people here tend to view and talk about.

I've seen the following few films and they shock but not the sort I'd reccomend or even comment about on these forums.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290673/

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0157016/

Look em up and enjoy...

Thanks man, got Caligola on my Lovefilm reserve list, and was looking at Irreversible too but I think I will pass...will definately check that last one out.

But hey each is own, I'm sure a few members would give these films a shot too, just to see how fucked up life can get!

Seen the film a while ago now when I was younger, it's a tad self indulgent to say the least, no doubt worse things than this went on and I do see a reason for something like this to be made but I'd hardly recommend it as one of my favourite films...

Some of the others aren't even worth a shout TBH...

Saw a South African film called Tsotsi last night, about a boy from a Shanti Town who steals a car which has a baby in it.

9/10. Great film.

I went to the cinema to see that, really good film and a 9 from me as well.

The Incredible Hulk (2008) - 7/10

Decent film, great sound design.

The hurt Locker.

great film, 8/10. solid storyline but could have been more brutal. i felt it was holding back on son scenes but overal a great movie

Zombieland - 7.5/10

Some LOL moments but not as many as I expected given the hype. Not quite Shaun Of The Dead but definately worth watching if you like a casual zombie movie :)

Michael Jackson's This Is It - 9/10

Incredible, that was going to be some concert and I'm gutted he's gone, gutted for the people who were going to be involved with the show, and gutted for everyone who had tickets.
