The Movies Thread

Funny and terryfing.

If you still haven't watched the movie you shouldn't be watching spoilers now, should you?

And it's not the best scene, but one that really stands out.

Everybody loves the movie, don't be sceptical.

Everybody loved Casino Royale...except me, so I've every right to be sceptical.

Plus I'm not a particularly big fan of Superhero films anyway.

Hancock 9/10 Wanted 9/10 loved them both in there own different ways see few didnt like twist in Hancock thought was great. :))

Killswitch 6/10 Would of been decent film if it wasnt for crappy camera effects on fight scenes was awful.

In the past week i have watched

The Orphanage
Untraceable
and Bachelor Party Vegas

All decent films, i wouldn't watch em again thought

Dark Knight.. wow. Loved it

Aye, i agree. Absolutely brilliant performances all round. Youve got The Joker, Heath Ledger, deserves a post-humourous in my opinion. Mesmerising performance. Then you've got Batman himself, Christian Bale. Overshadowed by Heath Ledger immensely but it worked and I loved it. Then you've got THE Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Brilliant. Not big parts but they added humour + linked the plot together well like only true veterans can. Excellent film. If you ain't seen it, go A.S.A.P.

I think Zippy would be a fantastic joker... "Ohhhhh Yessssss I'm going to blow your head off"...

No, I think the books and movies are pretty good and I prefer them to Lord Of The Rings for example.

Just because books/movies are aimed at kids, I'm not bothered about being "uncool" and enjoying them.

I enjoyed the films, never read the books. I thought the last 2 films were very good. The special effects are pretty cool in it imo, especially that fight scene in the last film with all the glass, fire and water.

The books are MILES better. They've missed out LOADS in the movies (as expected).

LORD OF TEH RINGS pisses over harry fucking potter  i saw i think was the 3rd or 4th potter movie and it was bloody shit mate. i was forced to take someone to see that crap of a movie. the storyline is crap, the acting is a joke and its just too kiddy for me

jonney not everyone has the same movie tastes. I am a fan of the LOTR films too. But for best fantasy/sci-fi, I must say Star Wars tops them all!

The HP books tell the complete story. The movies miss out important parts of the main plot and a lot of the subplots that would make the movie more interesting.

Just got back from watching The Dark Knight and I'd give it a 9.5/10, it is a phenomenal film but doesn't get a 10 because of that non manly sounding Batman voice.

Never really been interested in LOTR's and HP. My sister in law and family love the books and films but there just not for me i guess. Still ain't seen Dark Knight:((, My mate tells me i HAVE to watch it at the IMAX so im holding out to watch it there any of you lot think its worth watching it there or is your local Cinema fine?

Hancock

It's good. I hate the
"big" twist and the hospital scene
but the first hour is very fun.

Without Will Smith, I think it would have been very poor because of the story. Oh wait, there's no story!!!

7/10

Requiem For A Dream - 8/10

Fucking hell, what a depressing movie! A very good movie, and would probably deserve more than an 8 but DAMN! If ever there was a film to show someone the pitfalls of drugs, this is definately it. VERY powerful movie.

It does have a fantastic soundtrack as well Dags, even if it is depressing.

Oh and I'm just watching Die Hard 4 again on Sky, I'd forgotten just how trully bad this film is, even if Winstead and Maggie Q are fit.

Just watched Wall-E. Tbh I thought it was mehhh. The 2nd half of it was much better than the first. I still think Toy Story is the king. Animations just aren't my thing.

I absolutely fell in love with this film. I also preferred the first half to the second.
