The Movies Thread

Gabe, The Dark Knight Rises contains the most IMAX footage ever for a Hollywood feature, more than one hour's worth.

So the cast will be then Michael Caine, Cillian Murphy , Joseph Gordon-Levitt , Tom Hardy , Ken Watanabe as usual next to superman and an oldschool actor like Tom Berenger or Eric Roberts :D

here in HD

It's not the same one. The one I posted is the leaked one from Comic Con, and it's the "proper" trailer.

Edit: It's been taken down, so here's another link:

Well, he's only producing.

yeah, he's only producing, but if he was the director, am sure those names above will be in the movie, also Marion Cotillard

The Dark Knight Rises

What a sensational climax.
I even cried 3 times (Caine's performance was intense !).

10/10

Well, I went to TDKR yesterday, and I really loved it. The d-box really added a lot, it was really awesome! :D

The Dark Knight Rises

9/10

The plot was pretty good but for me The Dark Knight is the best of the Batman series.

SPOILER, DO NOT VIEW IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FILM YET!

Do you guys think there will be a fourth film? As clearly shown in the end it was implying that Detective Blake would become Robin. I'm not sure if a Batman & Robin film would be a success, but I'd still really want to see it.

In reply ^

Don't think there's any chance at all that Nolan will be doing another one. He apparently was already getting bored while filming TDKR. Really hope they don't do any other films after this, so it remains a strong trilogy.

The Dark Knight Rises - 7/10

Just got back.

It wasn't as good as the hype made it out to be, too long and there were too many niggling little things that when you spend time analysing it afterwards just jump out and annoy you.

Was good though. TDK was much, much better though I thought.

Not enough gratuitous Hathaway arse shots either, bad form.

Hathaway is sexy. Needed to see more of her and Miranda.

Absolutely.

Especially when she was on the bike, perfect opportunity for a few following shots.

Oh one more thing about the actual film, Bane was ruined by the fact that for 99% of his lines, you couldn't tell what the fuck he was saying. In fact the only time I could was quite hilarious.

The part when he's waiting for the kid to finish the anthem and he says 'quite a good voice' or similar in a ridiculous English accent

You must be deaf if you couldn't understand him! ;)
Out of all his lines, there was only two times when I thought to myself that I couldn't understand him fully. The rest of the time it was absolutely fine.

It clearly doesn't show that though does it?
After everthing Bruce mentioned about anybody can be Batman, Bruce is passing on the baton to Blake. There's a new Batsign and also Blake "Rises" at the end as the title could also suggest. It's open to interpretation. He could be Robin, he could be a new Batman. It's wasn't implying he would be Robin to me. Yes his name was Robin and he was basically Batmans sidekick for much of the film but it doesn't mean he will become Robin in the future after everything else that was shown.

Hah I think I do have shit ears, our cinema is probably terribly set up as well, too much bass distorted his voice.

Oh, any scene with Alfred in was ruined with laughter because I kept hearing 'tangerine'

Dark Knight Rises 9/10

Thought it was pretty phenomenal, agreed a few little niggles but realistically a man dressed in a bat suite made into the brilliantly grounded trilogy that it was had to have some.

I actually do think their is potential for not a 4th Batman but for Nolan to start a Robin film on its own terms.

I liked this Batman as much as TDK, but both still massively over hyped, that my grade would go down one point cause I don't see the masterpieces people say.

Now I got a question that a friend of mine noticed and that got me in doubt as well:

When Mr. Fox finds out about the auto-pilot stuff, where was it installed? Was that a backup vehicle? Did they had more than one?

About the sequel, I don't think another one could top the last two, let it end like it is.

The worry with films like Ted is they give you all the genuine hard laughs in the trailer and seeing the film disappoints.

I hope im wrong.

Yeah I've gotta be honest I thought the same but it proved me wrong, genuinely funny throughout.

Was made funnier with some woman in the audience having the worst laugh I've ever heard. We'd already noticed it but then during a quiet point she burst out laughing at something and everyone just turned around and stared. I almost died trying to stay silent whilst pissing myself laughing sat next to her boyfriend.

Haven't watched Ted yet either but gonna.

The following I now have on my hard drive and are gonna watch over the next couple weeks.

- I Saw the Devil

- Shame

- Up

All 3 are supposedly very good and completely different of course.

Just saw Ted.

Fucking hilarious.

Mila Kunis.

That is all.

Ted was fantastic, kept me laughing throughout the whole film.

I found the part near the beginning when the voice says something like "That actually isn't true, the something helicopter is a killing machine" that had me laughing for a good few minutes.
