The Movies Thread

Oh and forgot to say after watching quite a few tv series it's funny recognising everyone in films and stuff, saw McNulty from The Wire in John Carter, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) from Breaking Bad in John Carter, Wild Bill Hicock (Deadwood Keith Carradine) in Cowboys and Aliens and also Ian McShane in 44 inch chest (Deadwood).

Troll Hunter 6/10
this is weird Norwegian film about proper trolls not the internet type, it was a bit random but a nice film.

The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) 2/10
IT IS IN BLACK AND WHITE!?!! its 2012 why you cannot make film in colour you wankers.

Inside 8/10
this is an amazing horror film. this bitch crazy.

Me too Bobs, it has its moments, but still not as good as other similar comedies.

Project X is another not so funny comedy.

The thing is that a few years ago there were loads of modern classics, that these lately ones just won't come close.

I thought 21 Jump Street was OK but i was expecting it to be funnier, same as American Pie Reunion

Hope Anchorman 2 isn't a disappointment as well when that's out

Superbad was on TV the other night forgot how funny that was throughout :)

21 jump street was fucking hilarious, way better then the hangover or any other recent comedies...

Must disagree , 21 jump street had a few hard laughs, but that wasn't enough to save the movie. The idea had potential though, to make a comedy of undercover cops in a highschool-setting, but the execution and script was lame.

On the other hand, Hangover 1, I found it to be a brilliant concept pulled off with perfect timing.

Hangover 1 gets 9/10.

21 Jump Street gets 6/10 (I would have given it 5/10 but there was a joke in it with the name 21 Jump Street and the 80's TV-show that pushed it up one point).

Superbad was also hilarious, gets 8/10.

I have never waited for a movie like I do for TDKR ...
but, unfortunately, am gonna wait the Bluray release ..
Here in Tunisia , Cinemas don't show new movies, and they are all in French (I only watch original languages )

so, I think am gonna wait to at least, December .. :'(

That must suck. I always notice on the Italian Sky movie channels that they even translate the movie titles! Here in the Netherlands we only have the English version, only movies for kids like Ice Age etc. get translated, but we also have the option to watch the original in English.

Going to The Dark Knight Rises this tuesday, in a d-box seat if anyone knows that is, doing it for the first time and it seems cool. Here's what it is:

YouTube - D-BOX - How does it work?

They're seats that move in synch with what's going on in the movie, seems pretty awesome.

Watched TDKR yesterday. Didn't like it that much, to be honest. There are some good scenes and characters in it, but it drags a lot and towards the end there are too many shortcuts that made my eyes roll.

I would rate it a 7.5, but in my oppinion it is the worse of the trilogy. It should have been shorter and avoid some (in my oppinion) very weak things towards the end.

A good and entertaining movie, though.

I agree. I felt it dragged on for a bit - I felt this way for some parts of TDK too. Thought the story was great too, but just some scenes should have had more air time than others.

Advice for anyone going to see Dark Knight Rises in IMAX. Don`t sit in the outer aisle seats where you watch the movie diagonally. Oh and this movie MUST been seen in IMAX!
