Audition 8/10

Do not look this film up or read reviews before you watch. It will ruin it.

If you manage to view this without stumbling across any spoilers, it is a very impressive movie.

Japanese with English subtitles.
 
I guess my expectations were too high because of the first one being something quite new. I thought the concept was all right, but I was expected to be scared or tense - none of that happened. Just felt massively underwhelming and didn't live up to the first.

I still think the 28 Days Later + 28 Weeks Later films are much better in terms of tension/thriller - you would genuinely feel uncomfortable thinking about your town/city being infected and thinking of ways to protect yourself.
 
Green Zone - 5/10

Expected a lot more from it and it was a disappointment in the end.
 
Same here, thought it was going to be an iraq meets bourne kinda film with regard to the action sequences but it was all pretty bland. Interesting to see the perspective of the soldiers risking their lives for the fake WMD's though.

Brooklyn's Finest 6/10 not even in the same league as Trainig Day, although good to see alot of "the wire" cast in it.
 
Lennon Naked - 8/10

Turned it off after 15 mins or so due to the awful voice acting but kept with it and glad I did. Lennon's voice was shocking at the start, really slowed down as if to make it easier for non-Scousers to understand but it fixed up as it went along (maybe once viewers got used to the accent?). McCartney's voice was SHOCKING and sounded nothing like him.

Pretty good insight into Lennon's life and how crazy he was as it went on. Went through phases of being pleased for him but for the most part, I felt pretty bad for him the way it was all going.

Cynthia was miles better than Yoko as well! :)

I actually thought this was better than the first - my girlfriend and I watched REC then REC 2 straight after. I recommend doing it!

Just got back from Predators. I would probably give it a 6.5/10 as I did enjoy it for the most part and it had a couple of really cool scenes.

Brody quite suprised me though, Batman voice aside. He was definately the high point from the film which is certainly not what I expected going in.

One of the main things that bothered me though: Brody's character knew everything and had an answer to anything.

I started watching a film called Moon on Sky Premiere last night. It was a bit shit though so I turned it off. Kevin Spacey was in it, but I'd never heard of the film before at all?
 
Moon is shit? Behave. I'm sure you go through the forum, read popular opinions and come up with the opposite. You're weird!

Watch it again, but watch it to the end. Not all films make sense within the first 10 mins you know ;)

I'd never even heard of it! I watched about an hour of it. It was just a bit weird and didn't grab me.
 
Trust me, you need to watch it to the end, then it makes sense and you'll want to watch it again ;)
