Curse of the Golden Flower is one of the greatest films ever in my opinion. Brilliant plot, beautiful sets, fantastic soundtrack, a must see especially in high definition. I see you saw Hero. Another great Chinese martial arts epic. I would recommend you watch Jet Li's Fearless. That and Curse of the Golden Flower are some of my favourite films ever.

Has anyone here seen any Studio Ghibli films by the renowned Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki? Absolutley breathtaking films that have a deep and meaningful plot that attracts both adults and kids alike. I would recommend the following from his collection:

Princess Mononoke
Porco Rosso
Spirited Away
My Neighbour Totoro

All of them are wonderful but Princess Mononoke is probably his greatest work.

Seen them all BillyBoy and have most of them too, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Only Yesterday, Porco Rosso, Spirited Away The Cat Returns, and Howl's Moving Castle are my faves...

I will try and get some of those you have mentioned. :)

"Spirited Away" was pretty good, although it took a while to get going in my opinion.

Cheers. It's on BD but it's region locked so I'll have to wait until I import a region free player.

House of the Flying Daggers is my favourite martial arts films, great demo material too.

Seen it soooo many times and it's still funny.

The Bucket List - 8/10

Lovely story and really nice film.

Inception - good but could see things coming from the off. That's not to say there isn't dozens of twists and turns.

Yeah, thought so .

Invictus (BD) - 8.5/10

Brilliant film, great story, filmography and soundtrack. Love Clint Eastwood films!
