Thanks BB.

Unless as The Proff points out, he begins to trade on his likeness to Aussie crooner Andre, appears on Gran Hermano, where he meets then marries a empty headed tabloid chica with enormous norks! ;)

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Managers carroussel continues in the north-west league:

Today it became official that Steve Copell will be Sheffield United's new manager.
This leaves John Madjeski's reading without a manager.
In a press conference Madjeski's thanked Copell for the good spell he had for the Royals.
"Steve has brought us to the top and we thank him for it, but after three years bith Steve and Reading felt that a new challenge was much needed. With the the new Nnrth-west league which sees Scandinavian and Scottish teams in the same league as English clubs, Reading has to take a new start in the second division. We are currently having talks with a manager who has proved himself in the Inferno which is the Serie A".

Good luck with Mallorca, Prof. In Guillermo Pereyra you have one of my favoured PES players from versions past.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Hi

spot on mate. This year it'll be him and Luis Garcia vying to keep Tamudo company. I'm gonna drop DLP back a bit, who was playing as an AMF last season (DLP & garcia never played at the same time) it was either a staggered 4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1.

Pandiani was good in the air so i needed a replacement that would also be a danger from corners & crosses. The lack of a language barrier will also hopefully see him settle in quickly.

not sure IRL why he didnt make it at benfica, although to be fair he wasnt really given much of a crack so i gather.

ps - I didn't get your 'speak to hot girls' reference, sorry.

NEW 'JEWELL' IN THE CROWN FOR WIGAN!

Premiership strugglers Wigan Athletic have today announced that manager Paul Jewell is to be replaced by 'in-demand' Welsh manager Mr Mnj. Mnj, who over the last 3 seasons has steered FC Sicily from Italian minnows to Serie A champions looked set to take over at Fulham after turning down the advances of several of Europe's 'big guns'. However the unfashionable North West is his chosen destination.

"I was considering Fulham" Mnj explained "...however Chris Coleman is a fellow Welshman and I didn't want to see him booted out! They also have too many Prima Donnas for my liking, especially after signing Montella!"

When questioned whether the arrival of Simon Davies to Craven Cottage had influenced his decision, Mnj simply said "It's true, he may be Welsh but he has the worst hairstyle in football. I couldn't cope with seeing those girly flowing locks day in day out!"

Mnj is due to take over on February 1st.

Sparta Rotterdam Master League Season 2009 (end of season)

Prelude
Sparta Rotterdam ML 2006 Summary

I finished 7th in the league that season, after a good which went haywire after the mid-season break. It was also due to me focusing mainly on the NCE D2 Cup. Which I won to pick up my first ML trophy on PES6. That season I managed to pick up Kennedy on loan from FC Nurnberg, who was mainly played in the cup games and come on as a substitute now and then for Anastasiou. Anastasiou was the top scorer in the league with 7 goals, which prompted a move to Turkish champions Galatasaray. With that money I managed to bring in Kennedy on a permanent deal.

Sparta Rotterdam ML 2007 Summary

Finished top of the league and won my second trophy in succession. I got eliminated from the first round of the D2 Cup, which wasn’t a big problem since I won it the previous year. That season Kennedy became the league top scorer with 9 goals and top assistor with 3 assists, possibly the leagues player of the season, but another player got it. With money gained through winning the D2 league I managed to bring in some quality players like Nimbombe and Yildirim (which was possible due to the fact Heerenveen was still in D2).

Sparta Rotterdam ML 2008 Summary

My first season in NCE Super League D1 so me finish 13th in the league, managing to escape relegation. I surprisingly got to semi-final of the D1 Cup, being beaten by Borussia Dortmund 6-5 on away goals. Kennedy had an excellent season scoring 16 goals and finishing runner-up in the goal scoring chart. Kennedy was attracting attention from bigger clubs in league and outside the league. Medunjanin was the clubs player of the season due to some fine performance in which he scored 5 goals, making 2 assists. Oost was the super-sub scoring 6 goals which all came from coming on as a sub.

The Castle

This season I managed to finish 6th in the league finishing, sneaking into a European spot on the last day of the season. I did by beating Stuttgart 4-1 at home, while only managing a draw away to AZ Alkmaar. My team had a great season with a total of 50 goals being scored in the league(which was the third highest goals scored by a team in the league), which all came from different parts of the team, instead of the goal scoring duties being relied upon Kennedy, who had a decent season scoring 14 goals. Managed to concede 43 goals though! The player of the season was Bouaouzan who occasionally made some excellent performances during matches with his long, mazy dribbling runs and trickery. He managed to score 6 goals and made 6 assists to help my team finish 6th place in the league (a good alternative to C. Ronaldo I say).

NCE Super League Division 1 Standing

 NCE D1 Cup

I beat Dortmund in the first round of the D1 cup to get some revenge after they beat me in the semi-final last season. I went through to final in which I met Bayern Munchen and which was as far as I got in the cup this season.

Round 1: Borussia Dortmund 4-5 Sparta Rotterdam
Quarter-Final: Bayern Munchen 2-1 Sparta Rotterdam

Final: Bayern Munchen 0-3 AFC Ajax

van Tornhout returns to Het Kasteel

IN:

van Tornhout (Roda JC) --------> Sparta Rotterdam – undisclosed fee (2 year contract)
-
I bought van Tornhout during the mid-season, as sort of like early replacement for Kennedy, because there was a possibility he'll leave come the end of the season. The Belgium is exactly the same type of player as Kennedy, a tall, strong target man except not as good as him ability wise. His still young so hopefully he'll improve and become as good as Kennedy.

Gercaliu (Austria/Austria Wien) --------> Sparta Rotterdam – €3500 (3 year contract)
-
After Polak left during mid-season, i was lacking in a natural LB for the rest of the season, H.Drost (CB/SB) had to cover there, which meant when he was fatigued i had to play a player out of position. So Gercaliu was a player i needed in my team...his got a good amount of stamina and is well balanced in attack and defense.

Luijckx (AZ Alkmaar) --------> Sparta Rotterdam – €6000 (3 year contract)
-
After Rose left the club during the off-season, i brought Luijckx into the club as cover CMF for Vidarsson and a player who'll get to start a game now and again. His a giant CMF who can use his strength to dominate the midfield...but he need to improve other abilities like his passing, speed, teamwork and etc if he want a shout in the first, which could be a problem due to his condition (3)

OUT:

Polak (Sparta Rotterdam) -------> VfB Stuttgart – undisclosed fee (3 year contract)
-
Polak was a declining player, which was obvious during every game. He was to slow and was half dead by the halftime whistle... he started to become a bit of a liability to the team. But he was still brilliant during set-pieces (scored some nice free-kicks with him) plus he was a versatile player that could cover different parts of the midfield. Good lick to him a Stuttgart.

Kennedy (Sparta Rotterdam) -------> Juventus – €8764 (3 year contract)
-
Scored 48 goals in 59 games for me and became a integral part of my team. A move to a bigger was likely to happen anytime soon and it did when Juventus came for him this season. His currently the best player i bought in the ML...his strong as a bull and gives defenders a nightmare even when he hasn't got the ball...his a very aggressive (not just attacking wise) player, managed to pick up quite a lot of yellow & red cards during his time at the club. Despite that he was a all round striker with everything thing you want for a loan CF!

Rose
(Sparta Rotterdam) -------> Panathinaikos – €3931 (3 year contract)
-
Another declining player in my team was surplus to requirement. Started playing less games when Vidarsson came into the team. During his early days at the club he was an important part of my team...he was used as a CMF in the midfield three and was a versatile player who could cover a number of during attacking positions. A move to Panathinaikos suited him well!

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

John Madjeski presents new manager: Gerd Dk.
Gerd Dk leaves Atalanta after two rather succesfull seasons. The Belgian manager-coach joins reading in the new north-west league.
At the press conference Gerd Dk (once again assisted by the legendary Jean-Marc Bosman) stressed the fact that it will be very difficult to do better than Steve Coppell... I'm a fan of Coppell said the flamboyant Belgian...
Reading faces a difficult season in the second division with teams like Sheffield, Watford, Rosenborg, Kopenhague, Charlton, ...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Good luck Gerd. Reading's squad is actually not bad. I'm guessing Sidwell wil be your main man in midfield, perhaps with Harper alongside him? I expect you to be up there, or thereabouts, come the end of the season ;)

Db, i'm going to utilise a 4-2-3-1 (4-5-1) in Mallorca. Irl, Pisculichi left for Qatar (Al Arabi), so that leaves me with 3 recognised CFs. I have good supporting players who can also play up there, but i reckon that'll be my formation.

SB, As well as the time wasting in the corner, have you had the keeper waste time too? I was 2-1 down to Spurs in the Uefa Cup and in the last minutes Robinson dedcides to bounce the ball 4 times before kicking it. That's bouce, pause, bounce, pause, bounce, pause, bounce, kick! Silly ref should have carded him

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Sidwell is my main man indeed Prof, but i usually play Gunnarsson next to him...

My team so far:

GK: Hahnemann
CB: Ingimarsson
CB: Sonko
SB: Murty
SB: Shorey (fantastic free kick taker, already scored a peach with him)

CMF: Gunarsson
CMF: Sidwell
SMF: Convey
SMF: Hunt or Litle

FW: Lita
FW: Doyle or Seol

Played three matches uptil now:

Reading - Watford 1-1
Reading - Rosenborg 1-1
Charlton - Reading 1-2

Currently third, two points behind leaders West Ham United....My next match is against West Ham.

I will have to win quite a lot of matches because i started with only 5000 PES points which is perhaps not realistic considering the fact that John Madjeski is not exactly a poor bugger...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

hi stan,

actually thats probably quite realistic cos Madjeski known to be not exactly keen to part with his cash.

he's not in the Jack Walker sugardaddy mould by any means.

REAL MALLORCA NEWS

FRIENDLIES ROUND-UP

MALLORCA 0
ALAVÉS 3
Aloisi 47' R. Navarro 50' Astudillo 67'

Professor Nutmeg's first game in charge at Real Mallorca, saw the islanders take on the Segunda Division's Deportivo Alavés at the ONO Estadi. Good work down the right, saw Enrique De Lucas feeding first Aloisi, for the opening goal and then Ruben Navarro for the second. A great solo effort from midfielder Astudillo added a third for the visitors and left 'El Profesor' scratching his head in bewilderment. French keeper Stéphane Porato added to Mallorca's frustration, saving almost every effort that came his way.

AEK ATHENS 0
MALLORCA 0

Real's next friendly took them to Athens, where they faced Greek giants AEK. This game was a tale of two posts. Zikos' angled first half effort hit both the underside of the crossbar and then the post, to deny the former Monaco midfielder. Ten minutes later, Maxi Lopez's shot smacked off the crossbar, having beaten Chiotis in goal, this time denying the visitors the lead.

MALLORCA 1 Jankovic 69'
SOCHAUX 1 Alvaro 87'

The final friendly saw Mallorca host Ligue 1 outfit FC Sochaux. Second half substitute Bosko Jankovic put the the homeside ahead in the 67th minute, but were denied victory by Alvaro, who converted three minutes from time.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Good stuff going on in "Het Kasteel" as we call it holland, Stringer
Yeah, stands for the castle. I use Feyenoord's stadium as my home ground and I made sure Sparta and Feyenoord were the only team using the De Kiup, so i can have a derby type match like AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Rotterdam ----> Voetbalstad nummer 1
I ain't seen that happen before, but sounds funny though!

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Konami really are missing a trick with no movement between clubs arent they. Imagine doing a 'Souness' whilst in charge of Galatasaray, only to get offered the post at Fenerbahce....

UEFA Champions League Qualifier 2010 (Matchday 4)

champions_league.jpg

I just had a dazzling match in the champions league qualifiers with Sevilla! I was 4-1 down in the first half the match, and in the second half I managed to score four games to win the match and qualify for the champions league group stage.

This is probably the best match I’ve played in so far on PES6! It was really exciting game to play, the way the goals was flying in the second half was brilliant.

I managed to record the highlights of the match, but unfortunately the game didn’t show every goal that was scored :/ I wish I was able to record the whole, because it would be more enjoyable to see, but anyways here’s the highlights.

Sparta Rotterdam 5
Bouaouzan 26’
Medunjanin 46’ 60’
Emnes 54’ 64’

Sevilla F.C. 4
Kanoute 24’ 27’ 39’
Berger 43’

MOTM: Emnes (8.0)

UEFA CL Qualifier: Group A (after match day 4)
Sparta Rotterdam...12
Celtic.....................6
Atletico Madrid........4
Sevilla F.C..............1

I’m quite surprised I’m doing so well, with four games in a row. Reminds me a bit of how Blackburn is doing in the UEFA Cup (and Middlesboro last season). Wasn’t expecting to be top of the group, it hasn’t been a breeze, I still had a bit difficulty in matches against Sevilla and A. Madrid and though I must admit in those matches I was a bit lucky. But still I looking forward to the CL, hope I can get a group with clubs of different countries.

Results:
Matchday 1: Sevilla F.C. 2-3 Sparta Rotterdam
Matchday 2: Sparta Rotterdam 2-0 Celtic
Matchday 3: Sparta Rotterdam 2-1 Atletico Madrid
Matchday 4: Sparta Rotterdam 5-4 Sevilla

Remainig Fixture:
Celtic vs. Sparta Rotterdam
Atletico Madrid vs. Sparta Rotterdam

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Great game stringer bell - I like the way you teased Sevilla with the winning goal by hitting it in the roof of the net. I bet you thought for one second you'd skied it over!!!
