Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Meh :( SB, it's annoying isn't it. I used to play the J League and Winning 11s on my old PS2 (not anymore though). I liked how the stats fot the majority of J League players were very mediocre in comparison to PES. And of course back then the kits were licensed for them and all.
I've been wanting better structures/rules (CL qualifying, accumilation of cards) etc, for so long now. Including it in W11 and not PES is crazy! At least give us the options. You can see why structuraly, FIFA can be more appealing.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

AZ67 - the transfers:

Transfers out:
Arveladze (Udinese)
Boukhari (PSG)
Mendes Da Silva (Hamburger SV)
Koevermans (Olympiakos Piraeus)

Transfers in:
Medunjanin (Dutch CMF)
Lindbergh (Sweden MF)
Ujgur Yildirim (Dutch WF)
Olufade (Togo FW)
Sorin (Argentina WB)

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Sounds great SB. The way they treat their Japanese audience in comparison to us is unbelievable, and that will be one reason why I may well switch to FIFA which has had an excellent career mode for a while now. Along with some very nifty gameplay breakthroughs.
Hmmnnn i can understand why you want to switch to FIFA. I'll probably try FIFA08 just to see what the career mode is all about.

Yeah, it is quite a blast playing with the J.League teams. I'm usually playing with them on Exhibition mode...maybe i'll have a ML with one of the teams, which could be fun, since the players i'll mostly be buying agree Japanese players and one or two Brazilian/Argentians.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Who here has a PS3 already? I know Gerd has. SB? I'm a bit held up on the idea of getting one, as i don't like being held to ransom, if you know what i mean (£425). Half of me thinks the X360 is a reasonable price and a quarter of me wants to get PES2008 on PS2 (but i hear there are less teams) and pocket the vast change. I'm just not a big gamer, so it doesn't feel worth it for one game (PES) :(
When is the next PS3 price drop expected?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I don't think that there will be a price drop this year prof...
However i think that there is a strong possibility to buy a PS3-PES2008 pack in october or november.
With all those rumours about a better ML in WE and the PS3 being region free it is maybe a wise option to buy a PS3 (maybe XBOX360 is region free too, i don't know).
I have to admit that i'm a gamer like you Prof: i play 90% of the time PES..in fact over the years the only other games i have played regularly are Cycling Manager (PC), Football Manager (that one i really like) and SSX.
It looks to me that the best nextgen games are coming out on XBOX...
Once again, i'm not so sure if my purchase of a PS3 was a wise decision in retrospect...i'm not very thrilled by the Playstation Store either...perhaps Home will be something special and i'm also hoping for some interesting downloadable content for PES2008 too...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I'm still not sure to be honest!

Most aren't that impressed with the PS3, but that's down to a lack of games at the moment. However, the 360 is cheaper, has a thriving online infrastructure, but I hear they are prone to going on the blink every few months.

You can get a PS3 for 329.99 here http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=dettagli&codart=PS300

It's currently sold out. You have to wait until next Thursday to order, which is when they will have it in stock (this is what they told me when i emailed them about it).

There are some other stuff (X-Box360, Wii & etc.) here http://www.shopto.net/page.php?page=search&matcat=2&categ=HARDWARE&platform=

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

SB, J-League version ML sounds amazing. If only we've had the same one in PES, can't understand why Konami doesn't want to do so. :(

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

AZ67 Qualifies for Champions league:

With one match to go Dutch side AZ67 is already sure of a CL place. They have won a tough group.

Standing with only one match left:

1 AZ67 11
2 Porto 6
3 Newcastle 5
4 Juventus 4

AZ67 - Newcastle 0-0
Juventus - AZ67 0-1 (De Roover)
Porto - AZ67 0-2 (Lens, Dembélé)
Newcastle United - AZ67 1-1 (Dembélé, Owen)
AZ67 - Juventus 1-0 (Olufadé)

AZ67 are currently sixth in the league.

PS: Am i the only one still playing a ML????

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

No your not mate, I have started one just the other day with Arsenal.

Only reason I have waited so long is because of the Transfer Window, got a fully updated PES6 now and having fun with my first ML in a while.

Im in the first negotiation period, playing on Top Player and 15 mins.

Currently 4th in the league, Eduardo and RVP are scoring for fun.

Thinking about signing Ninis from PAO, right winger he is, widely thought of as the best young talent in Greece and the whole of Europe.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I might do updates with my master league.

What I we have done (I say we as its me and a mate, originally there was 3 of us though), is basically we started a fresh new master league, as a custom team with default players but we bought one player each between the ages of 15-18, so we each had a player, and what we did, was play the master league, but as fixed players, so we only was the one player each in the match, and it is pretty awesome :D

I could tell you lot how we got on, think its our 4th season we are on now, its a real struggle but its amazing, when you like get promoted escape relegation etc. Even better when you score or set up a goal, I play as a AMF, my mate plays DMF, the other used to be on the wing or side midfield but he hardly plays as he lives quite far, only plays when we play footy near eachother.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Prof, there are no slots for a PS2 memory card...
However you can use a memory stick with a PS3.
What i did for my new Ml with AZ67: i donwloaded Milanista option file for PS3 put it on a memory stick where you have to create to following folders:

1 PS3 in that folder:
2 Export, in that folder
3 PSV, in that folder
4 the option file.

On the hard disk of your PS3 it ispossible to create a sort of virtual PS1 or PS2 memory card. You create one which you name PES.
Then you put your memory stick in the PS3.
You copy the option file to the virtual PS2 memory card and you can use the new option file...
It's very easy....
Hi Stan,

This doesn't seem to work for me.

Does the OF have to be in .max or .xps format...OR does it have to be in one of the two and be converted into a .PSV file?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I still play my Juve ML. Doing pretty good, with 4 games to go till the end of season 2, the top of the table looks like this:
1. Inter 71
2. Milan 56
3. Juventus 55
4. As Roma 43
5. Lazio 41

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Stringer, i did exactly what i was told and it worked fine for me...the OF does not need to be in max or xps format...
Just use an ordinary memory stick and of course put the PS3 version of the OF on the memory stick. I did it with milansta's OF and it worked like a treat...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Hey Guys I have read this thread quite a bit in the last year, but never shared my ML experiences, So i thought since i was starting a new ML I'd share. so here we go, will post in 5 game sections, hope you enjoy as much as me.

NEW BOSS AT LILLE

After the shock departure of Claude Puel from The Stade Metrolpole, Puel unhappy with the amount of his top players that have left this summer, Chairman Michel Seydoux unveiled the new boss that will take the helm.

Unknown Scottish Manager Andrew Gibney, the 25yr old Scotsman acclaimed himself a Lille fan, Gibney has had previous spells with Celtic Reserves and Sheffield United, managing to keep SUFC in the Premiership in his first season.

"It wasn't that long ago I was here at the Metropole watching the guys play in the league, now today I'll walk out the door as the Boss of Lille, It's a great feeling and I can't wait to get with the guys at the training ground and putting my plans into place."

Gibneys team have a tough start to the season, facing a trip to the South of France to face one of the favourites to challenge Lyon this year, Albert Emon's Olympique Marseille.

After a few years of European Competition, Lille face a tough season ahead with the loss of 13 players and only 3 players brought in, a lack of expereince in the squad, It'll be a tough job for Gibney.

Fixture 1 - 4th August 2007
---------------------------

Gibney names a 1st choice team, the exciting young pairing of Mirallas and Fauvergue upfront, new signing Franck Beria starts at Centre Back. Marseille start with Moussilou and Niang upfront, and give other debuts to Givet, Cheyrou, Ziani and Bonnart.

Marseille took the lead in the 10th minute, Nasri lofting the ball over the Lille defence, Tony Sylva ran out to collect the ball but Moussilou beat him to it, and the former Lille player knocks the ball past the keeper.

It only took 6 mins for Gibneys men to respond, Mirallas drifts out wide and picks up the ball, cuts it back to Obraniak, he beats Cheyrou looks up and curls the ball past Carraso into the top corner.

Both teams went into the break tied up, and this continued into the second half, both teams looking to find a winner, and in the 92nd minute someone did.

Bastos played the ball into Fauvergue he turned, Givet tackled, the ball falls to MIRALLAS...GOAL!!!!!! They've done it surely thats the winner for Les Dogues

What a way for Gibney to pick up his first Ligue 1 victory.

MARSEILLE 1 LILLE 2

"What a win for the guys, I couldn't have asked for a better start of the season, to come to the Velodrome and get back on the bus with 3 points and such a major boost for the young lads."

Fixture 2 - 11th August 2007
----------------------------

Nancy travelled North for Lilles first game at the Metropole, Gibney went with an unchanged team after the stunning last minute winner at Marseille.

The game didn't come to life until the second half, the teams had only been out for 6mins, when Lille got a corner, Bastos went out to take it, he delivered the outswinger straight onto the oncoming head of Nicolas Fauvergue to put the home side ahead.

The Home fans were cheering again 7 mins later Bastos showed some skill down the left flank, swung in the cross and there was Fauvergue again to head the ball past Bracgilano for his and Lille's second.

Nancy got one back in the 67th minute through an low drive from Gavanon but it turned out to be too little too late for the Lorraine side.

The Lille defence managing to hold on for the victory, 6 from 6 a great start to Gibneys career. the fans will go home optimistic about the future of the season.

LILLE 2 NANCY 1

"It was important to put on a good performance today infront of the home fans, and show them that although we're a different team than was here last year, we're gonna work as hard to perform for the fans, and I think we delivered that today, pleased for Nico and his 2 goals, good for him to get off and running.

Fixture 3 - 15th August 2007
----------------------------

Lille travelled to Rennes for a game between the 2 teams unbeaten in Ligue 1, Gibney changes to a 4-5-1 formation, Fauvergue leading the line, Maric and Rami make their first starts. Rennes new man Michael Pagis starts up front for Les Rouges et Noir

It was the home team that took the lead in the 33rd min, Wiltord pushing down the left wing, lofting the ball into the box and it was Pagis that was there that headed the ball down past Sylva.

A Fauvergue header went close in the 2nd half and Dumont had a shot from 20yards out trying to find an equalisier, but all atempts were in vain, and it was Pagis again who put the game beyond Gibney's men, Cheyrou released Pagis and he was past the defence and in on goal, the big vetran striker made no mistake and calmly placed the ball past Sylva 2-0 2 goals from Pagis

RENNES 2 LILLE 0

"Well it had to happen sooner or later we couldn't go all season without losing, we were poor today though, showed no cohession as a team, but was only the third competative game together we'll improve no doubt about that."

Fixture 4 - 18th August 2007
----------------------------

It was a Northern derby today in Lille as LOSC hosted Valenciennes at the Metropole, Gibney made some changes to the team, resting Captain Tafforeau, Beria and Fauvergue in came, Plestan, Emerson and Youla, Mirallas also returned to the 4-4-2 formation.

Mirallas and Obraniak went close in the first 20 mins could neither could get a shot on target.

Then the Metropole was shocked, Valenciennes got a corner swung the ball in everyone jumped the ball bounced off Plestan and found its way past Sylva, 1-0 to the visitors, not long after Penneteau saved from Youla and Mirallas flashed a header wide.

The second half was the same story Penneteau saved from a Youla header, and a shot from Youlas replacement Larsen Toure, and Lille couldn't finda way past the inform Penneteau.

LILLE 0 VALENCIENNES 1

"What can I say it was one of those games, we were the better team created by far the more chances, but just couldn't get the ball past Penne he was great today, fair play to him."

RUMOURS

L'equipe reported today that there was sightings of Patrick Kluivert in the city of Lille today and was seen around the ground after the Valenciennes game.

Lille boss Andrew Gibney failed to respond to these rumours, stating he was planning on bringing in any players he could before the transfer window shut on August 31st

Fixture 5 - 25th August 2007
----------------------------

It was wholesale changes for todays game at the Parc de Princes as Lille travelled south to the capital for the game against PSG, changing to the 4-5-1, in come Franquart, Beria, Tafforeau, Dumont, Robail and Toure and making their debuts, Taravel, Maric and Yanes.

Amare Diane partners the ever dangerous Pauleta upfront, as the home team are the strong favourites for todays game.

It was a goal against the run of play that stunned the home crowd, Maric finds Toure with a through ball, he skillfully took the ball away from the defender and placed it past Landreau what a way to score your first goal for the club.

The lead didn't last long though, Pauleta got free and into the Lille box, his shot was parried right by Sylva but it only went as far as Diane and he knocked the ball into the net.

The second half got off to a horrible start for the capital club, after a Lille corner the ball squirmed loose, Rothen went to clear it, the ball defelcting off Robail striaght to Marics feet and he fired the ball straight at Landreau and the French International couldn't keep it out GOAL, Debut goal for Maric Lille 2-1 ahead.

It was Sylvas goal under seige after they went ahead, but they couldn't find away past the Senagalese keeper, the young inexpereinced defence holding firm, 5mins to go Diane gets in the box, squares it to Pauleta..must be...WIDE

The ref look sat his watch, blows the whistle it's all over what a victory for Lille

PSG 1 LILLE 2

"Wow what can I say about today's game, I gave the young guys a chance today so the guys who had played recently could get a rest and man did they do a job for the fans today, we've now went to the Velodrome and Parc des Princes and got 6 points that shows the charecter of this teamand what we're capable of."

### August 30th 2007 - TRANSFER NEWS ###

Lille today announced the capture of Dutch International Striker Patrick Kluivert, the 31yr old Striker has signed a 2yr contract with the North France club. Kluivert who has not settled since he left Barcelona, and had spells at Newcastle Utd, Valencia and PSV Eindhoven and has never settled, he said today on the LOSC website.

Gibney had this to say, "I'm so glad to have Pat with us in the squad, he's gonna give us so much, We have a very young squad and we needed someone with expereince and Pat has that in abundence, he brings quality and he will teach the young guys a thing or two."

Asked if Kluivert would play in the upcoming game against Sochaux, Gibney replied, "Pat will need a few training sessions to get up to speed, hopefully he might make an appearance against RC Lens."

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Great story about Lille Gib...i've had one of my most enjoyable ML's with Lille in PES4...a Lille team with Bodmer and Moussilou in it...

In the next post i will give information about my current ML with AZ67...one of my targets in the next transfer window is my fellow Belgian Kevin Mirallas who is nicknamed in Lille: "le Ronaldo des pauvres"...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

AZ67 ML update:

After 9 matches AZ67 is currently 6th in the first European division, they are 8 point behind leaders Ajax

1 Ajax
2 Fenerbahce
3 Porto
4 PSV
5 Sporting Lisboa
6 AZ67

AZ67 still haven't lost a match this season, but they have had plenty of draws...with last years Golden Boot Koevermans gone, they have trouble scoring...forwards Lens, Olufade and Dembélé all have scored 4 goals in 9 matches...

In CL group phase AZ are in a very tough group:

AC Milan
Barcelona
Valencia
AZ67

They won their first match 0-1 against Milan in San Siro...quite an achievement...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I've been doing a few different things on PES6 recently. I started a Premier League (rare for me) ML with Middlesbrough on 'Top Player,' 'Very Hard' etc. I'm actually doing surprisingly well in the first half of the season. I'm 2nd behind Chelsea. Probably won't last.

I also did an International Challenge with Belgium. My group included France, Scotland and Turkey. I was one minute away from qualifying for the World Cup (with a 0-0 draw, the one point would have been enough) when Turkey scored a late winner :( The good news was that i took 6 points from France, with two 1-0 wins.
I quite like the Int'l Challenge, as you get to pick the squad for every game from all players of the nationality, so you can call up who you like. I just wish it was bigger (7/8 teams per group) and included teams like San Marino, Faroe Islands, Liechtenstein, Albania, Macedonia etc. I would so love to play as one of these nations.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Did you discover any good Belgian players in the game prof...

I quite like my Belgian boys at AZ: Dembélé (IRL he's gonna be a star), Martens and the one i bought, can't remember his name...but that is the one i like most...a young defender...never outstanding but always usefull...i'll edit the post when i remember his name...

Edit: De Roover...

Hi gerd,

It's not even that i need a PES6 OF (don't play the game anymore), i want to put my other PS2 saves in my PS3.

Maybe i should ask someone else about that, but thanks for the help though.
Edit: De Roover...
His a right-back isn't he? Or a right back who can play as a center back.

I do like Belgian players too gerd. When i think of the good individual players or even national teams that you've had in the past, it's a shame they don't do better.

Dembélé was indeed good for me. Simons is great too, my kind of PES midfielder. Caluwé was useful. I didn't have time to try everyone though.

Not new, but van Buyten was great at the back and i had him as the designated CB overlapping as one of my tactics when chasing the game.

Out of interest, how do you rate Sterchele irl?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

In the Belgian competition Sterchele is great...two years ago Charleroi bought him from a third division club...he's a natural goal scorer (in the Belgian competition).

About our national team: we had hope after the win against Serbia...but now we've drawed in Kazakstan (2-2)....our national coach Vandereycken did a Robben substitution (remember the Dutch in Portugal???). he substituted Mirallas (the best Belgian player) for a midfielder and from then on Kazakstan were the better team...
The problem is that we have very talented young players: Dembélé, Mirallas, Vandenborre, Kompany, Martens, Poccognoli and a great young CMF: Defour...our under 17 played qualified for the WC and alledgedly have one of the best players in the world...the coach of the under 17's claims that he's better than the Serbian guy who plays for Barcelona...

So we all hope for better results...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

gerd, Wilmonts (ex-Hamburg player) was a good player. I remember him during the 2002 Worid Cup, where he had a good tournament. He scored 3 goals in that WC, if i'm correct?

BTW does anyone want to have an online game of PES6 with me? I'll be using various clubs/countries, not the usual Brazil/Barca/France/R.Madrid etc...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Wilmots was a Schalke04 (and Bordeaux) player Stringer Bell....

I've never played online maybe i will try it in PES2008 (or the new FIFA, i'm gonna download the demo).

I think you would win easly, because i'm rubbish ....

i would play online if there was a possibility to play an online ML...
