Recre Unveil New Manager

With the start of the new season looming few would of thought, that after the departure of manager Marcelino Garcia Toral, that Recreativo de Huelva would of found a replacement manager. However the Spanish club have, and in doing so have shocked Spanish football by employing unknown English manager Psymon.

189.jpg
Proud

Speaking to the gathered press at Recre’s home stadium Nuevo Colombino (pictured above),Psymon assured fans he was the man for the job stating “I understand that I was not everyone’s first choice for the job but I can assure the fans that if given time I can do great things with this team”.
Speaking more on his new role he said “I am immensely proud to be the manager of Recreativo de Huelva, the club has a wealth of history and tradition which I am happy to be a part of”.

Paco-Mendoza-discurso.gif
No Money No Problems

Recre’s Chairman, Francisco Mendoza, (pictured above) has stated because of the current financial situation new manager Psymon will not receive a sizable transfer kitty. However Psymon, or El Psymon as he has been dubbed, believes that the current side is capable of staying up. When asked by a member of the press whether or not he would like to make changes to the squad he said “I will first need to assess the squad in detail, but like every team changes will be made at some point. The fact that i do not have the riches of say Barcelona or Real Madrid does not present as large a problem as suggested.”

Spotlight

With the season set to begin in 12 days Psymon does not have long to make a sizable impression on his squad. Recreativo de Heulva’s first game of the season is against away to Levante and the spotlight will be firmly on the new manager as he looks to get off to winning ways.

Sorry about the length of it guys I just thought I’d get the ball rolling with a nice intro. I’ll post a new update every now and then and hopefully I’ll try and get into some sort of rhythm with it so not to bombard you with posts all the time.
Keep up all the ML story posts I enjoy reading them!

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Great start Psymon87. Nothing wrong with the length of the post mate. Looking forward to reading more. :8):

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Game 4: ADO Den Haag - PSV

ADO Line-up: Postma; Martha, Bunjevcevic, Bakkati (Rijaard), Tininho (Bosschaart); Bodde, Schwiebbe, Hakansson; Verhoek, Mols, Kolk (Roiha)

Final Score: 3-0

13. (1-0) Bodde (PK)
45. (2-0) Mols
60. (3-0) Hakansson (Mols)

MOTM: Michael Mols

ADO's biggest win of the season so far. We got a cheap penalty when Verhoek was tripped in the box, Bodde placed it right in the middle. Mols scored a second goal just before HT, and Hakansson made it 3 with a nice shot from outside the box, after a deft backheel pass by Mols.

Game 5: FC Groningen - ADO Den Haag

ADO Line-up: Zwinkels; Saavedra, Bunjevcevic (Kum), Martha, Bosschaart (Loumpoutis); Rankovic, Schwiebbe, Knopper; Delorge , Mols, Verhoek (Roiha)

Final Score: 1-1

27. (0-1) Delorge (Mols)
65. (1-1) Nevland

MOTM: Delorge

The first draw of the season, Mols had the chance to make it another win in Injury time after Delorge put him infront of an empty goal, but his shot was blocked by a last ditch tackle by a Groningen defender.

Game 6: ADO Den Haag - Roda JC

ADO Line-up: Postma; Saavedra, Kum, Bakkati , Tininho ; Bodde, Delorge, Knopper (Hakansson); Elia, Hoogendorp (M. de Vries), Kolk (Roiha)

Final Score: 3-0

44. (1-0) Hoogendorp (Kolk)
45. (1-1) Oper

MOTM: Delorge

Hoogendorp opened the score, after Roda had been the slightly stronger team in the first half, with a shot from a turn with his back to the goal. A mistake by Alberto Saavedra saw Andres Oper steal the ball of him and shoot it past a helpless Stefan Postma. ADO looked for a winning goal, but had to settle for another draw.

ADO are in 5th place after 6 games, a great start of the season for the boys from The Hague. :)

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Well you managed to get some decent result there, keep it up and you can hopefully get a European spot for next season.

How many more games have you got left for the season?

Another thing if you finish 7th in the league, you can play European football for the following season, if the two finalist of the League Cup has already qualified for Europe...something you might wanna know.

It's been a bit quiet here lately...has anybody on here got the PS3?

Peace.

Aston Villa Football Club official ML pre-season preview.

Once again a sensation from Martie Ross. After his surprising one-year move to one of Ligue 1 underdogs FC Nantes-Atlantique, that can be called rather successful as the team was saved from relegation and it's finances became stable and consistently growing. He was rumored to go to Paris main club PSG, as the team is in deep crisis and Mr. Ross is known as a man who is an expert in solving such type of problems. But this excentric Young manager once again proved that there is no way you can predict his moves. Martie is coming back to his hometown of Birmingham to take job in Aston Villa. As all of you know he's already worked for The Villans at the start of his career and was rather successful. Now he's back and ready to kick off the new stage of his yet not-so-long career.

First Squad:

Goalkeepers:
1 Thomas Sørensen
13 Stuart Taylor

Defense:
2 Mark Delaney
3 Jlloyd Samuel
4 Olof Mellberg
5 Martin Laursen
16 Wilfred Bouma
18 Aaron Hughes
19 Liam Ridgewell
21 Gary Cahill
24 Phillip Bardsley

Midfield:
6 Gareth Barry
8 Gavin McCann
11 Stiliyan Petrov
12 Steven Davis
23 Patrik Berger
26 Craig Gardner
27 Isaiah Osbourne
28 Shaun Maloney

Attack:
9 Juan Pablo Ángel
10 John Carew
15 Gabriel Agbonlahor
17 Ashley Young
20 Chris Sutton
22 Luke Moore

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Good luck Re-arranged! :). I'm sure Martie and Randy can take the club back up to where it was 25 years ago.

--

I've finally got round to starting my own ML, now that my PES is fully patched-up to the eyeballs and I've tweaked the option file to within an inch of its life. It's all set for my biggest challenge to date.

100px-Cadizcf.gif
cadiz-overview.jpg
cadizkit.gif

The sunny climes of España, the beautiful Andalusian port of Cádiz. 20,000 Cadistas joyously turning the Ramón de Carranza yellow and blue. Sounds pretty comfy so far?

But there's no Oscar de Paula here, no Javier Acuña, no Lucas Lobos and certainly no Mágico González. In their place I not only have the infamous Default City crew with new monikers, nationalities and appearances, but they even have reduced stats.

Using the PESFan Editor I've reduced all of their attributes by 20 points, the only exceptions being Stamina (and Condition) which was left as default, as well as GK Skills for the three keepers. Everything else has frankly been desecrated. Consistency, Weak Foot Accuracy and Weak Foot Frequency were randomly assigned between 3 (crap) and 1 (crappest) and injury proneness became a random mixture of B and C. The end result is the worst bunch of clueless pub players that those poor Cadistas have ever laid eyes on.

This should be fun. In fact, it is. Six games in and I've just scored my first goal, a hopeful low cross by Miñho from the left onto which I was genuinely surprised to see Lucó diving in the six yard box for a morale-boosting equaliser. That's now one goal, two draws and four defeats, rock bottom of Div 2. Love it ;)

The major concern now is whether bankruptcy can be avoided. Fortunately Antonio Muñoz, in his wisdom as la presidencia del Club de Fútbol, is not paying these no-hopers very much. Less fortunate is that I've only started with the minimum 1500 points in the bank. Currently at 2320, we somehow have to scrape enough results together to surpass 3934 by the end of the campaign. Might have to have a whip around, lads.

Current Div 2 table (played 6):

1. Real Sociedad (13pts)
2. Levante U.D. (13pts)
3. Recreativo de Huelva (12pts)
4. Real Murcia C.F. (9pts)
5. Deportivo Alavés (8pts)
6. Málaga C.F. (7pts)
7. Gimnastic (4pts)
8. Cádiz C.F. (2pts)

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

thx, Nerf, good luck to you with Cadiz aswell. As i see it comes out very very hard to play with such a team, seems pretty interesting.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Hey nerf have you changed the names of the default ML players, if you have what are their names (would be interesting to know)?

Nice one!

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Thanks db.

Hey nerf have you changed the names of the default ML players, if you have what are their names (would be interesting to know)?

1. Marcos, GK, Portugal
2. Jauré, CB, Peru
3. Marcel, CB, Brazil
4. Sanz, CB, Spain
5. Dani, DMF, Spain
6. Leo César, DMF, Spain
7. Miñho, SM, Brazil
8. Jorge, SM, Spain
9. Itor, CF, Spain
10. Alberto, AMF, Spain
11. Aguilar, CF, Argentina
12. Aduriz, CB, Spain
13. Rui Perez, CB, Spain
14. Pablo, SB, Spain
15. Julio da Silva, SB, Uruguay
16. André Luis, DMF, Spain
17. Almíron, SM, Spain
18. Bakero, AMF, Spain
19. Malajo, WG, Spain
20. Miguel, CF, Spain
21. Lucó, CF, Argentina
22. Vela, GK, Argentina
23. Franco, GK, Spain

I think you can probably work out who they originally were from their squad numbers. I swapped the appearances around a lot though. The names I decided on by searching through the commentary and picking out ones that looked suitable. I used some a little bit creatively, for example Miñho has the commentary name 'Mignot', it just sounds the same. I'm using Spanish commentary as well.

I also forgot to mention earlier that I removed all the Special Ability stars too. I could probably upload my option file if anyone was really interested in seeing the team closer up through the PESFan editor.

The bankruptcy issue is concerning me at the moment. On the pitch it's a dream, every action is a struggle (particularly with the low pass speed, it really makes you choose your passes more carefully), but I wonder if I've bitten off more than I can chew in terms of finances. Even if I do reach 3934 by the end of this season, which is starting to look improbable, I'll then have to approach next season from close to zero without that 1500 head start.

We'll see. It's fun though :)

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

It does sound like fun. :)

Good idea with the names matching with the commentary names, it sounds nice when the Trevor is saying each of your players name, as you desperately try to keep the ball! ;)

If you don't make enough PES money to pay your salary, lets hope the COM makes a bid for one of your players...or you might end up like me with Wigan on PES5! :(

BTW who's your best player in the team ATM (i'm guessing Jaric or Dodo)? Another thing, what is your formation like?

Also, yeah, i wouldn't mind seeing the option file with your edited default players.

Safe.

I doubt that anyone will want to buy these numpties, but I'll wait and hope. I think if I don't make the minimum salary limit and get game-over then I will probably start again with 3000.

They're all rubbish! ;) But the better performers have probably been Miñho and Pablo overlapping each other down the left flank. For a couple of matches I had to play Almíron (SMF) out of position in a DMF role to cover for fatigued players and he did surprisingly well.

At the moment I'm predominantly using a 4-2-3-1 formation. I need those two DMFs shielding the defence.

Also, yeah, i wouldn't mind seeing the option file with your edited default players.
Here you go.

Déjà vu

Ferguson vs Clough, game on!

At the half way stage Nottingham Forest find themselves in first, only a point ahead of Manchester United, repeating last seasons half way stage rankings. Forest also repeated their 3-0 win at Old Trafford to put them top. However, earlier on in the campaign, United were at one stage 7 points clear and odds on favourites to win the league, but a Forest fight back means an exciting title race once more. Both clubs managers have been playing mind games with each other and this will no-doubt continue into the second part of the season.

Alex Ferguson has questioned Nigel Cloughs side by stating that he has doubts as to whether they will be involved in the title race come the end of the season. Clough angrily hit back by saying that although this time last season the 2 clubs were first and second, it was Chelsea that won the league and Man Utd finished third behind Forest.

With the current champions lying in a very disappointing 7th place, it looks likely that it will come down to Man Utd and Forest, but who will prevail.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Well, the good news is... Cádiz survived. Barely. With the help of two draws in two desperate post-season friendlies and the removal of two out-of-contract players from the wage bill, I narrowly scraped together enough cash to pay the team salary. No game over this time!

...the bad news is that I now start season two with a measly 150 in the bank, which you'll notice is 10% of what I started the first season with. Oh dear.

The squad is also now two players lighter (one of the three goalkeepers, so I shouldn't miss him too much) and I wasn't able to bring anyone in over the summer because that would have tipped the salaries back into the red.

We did, of course, finish bottom of the Segunda Division. No wins, four draws, ten defeats, out of the cup in the first round. Somehow a couple of wins and/or a few more draws will have to be found in the second season to make up the deficit, and I have strong doubts about whether that will be achievable. I'll give it a go though.

On the pitch it's an interesting conundrum. I'm starting to think that the best way to play it is the most illogical way, which is to try and 'out football' the opposition. You'd think that defending deep and trying to catch them on the break would be the obvious choice, which might be the case in real life, but when your players are that slow and cannot move the ball at any pace, effective counter-attacking becomes nigh on impossible. Playing a direct style is also out of the question when you lack any sort of aerial ability or strength.

I'm getting most success (using the term lightly) from trying to deny the opposition possession, on the principle that the longer I have the ball, the fewer chances they'll have time to create and the more likely it is I can dig out a clean sheet. In theory. This is obviously very tricky, trying to keep possession when your players have the Short Pass Speed and Technique of a blind stoat, but it's the only way that scraping points is possible and even then you're still reliant on a hefty share of luck going your way.

Damn Nerf u are really making life difficult for yourself there, as if the default crew arent crap enough on their own :D ;)

Good luck in your second season, u will need some wins to not go game over (stupid konami, there is no game over in football!)

I agree, I hope they'll put a new board system in the game soon, that would mean you could get sacked, switch clubs and that sort of things.

Damn nerf! You seriously like a challenge don't you? lol

Well i hope yo don't get a GAME OVER because this is a fascinating story like gerd said.

Hopefuly you might get an offer for one of your players by the COM in mid/off-season and get some points to help cover your player wages.

BTW you should try the AMF/CF player (can't remember his name) upfront, he played well upfornt for me in a few during my FC Sicily ML (or have you changed his height?).

Anyways good luck with the ML.

p.s. - thanks for letting me take look at your OF.

Yeah thats a good idea.
