The 'Become A Legend' Discussion Thread

I've killed off my BAL and will start anew when the WENB OF is out.

What I'm planning is to seed the 4 divisions, so that all the biggest clubs are in Div 1 (ie A Euro Super League), the next biggest in Div 2 and so on. I'll start at a club in the lowest Division (4) and aim to make my way into the big time.

Also - anyone got any tips on height and weight? My last guy was quite tall, but quite weedy. Do I need to make him heavier or was it just because he had low stats?

what lvl u all playin this on? i dont play on the hardest lvl i play on the 1 before it! still pretty tough - tho defence (computer) is awful!

Whats WENB OF?

A healthy 'balance' stat helps TB, if you don't want to be jostled off the ball easily. Mine is pretty low at the moment and i tend to lose out when vying for the ball.

RE teams status. You start off in lower teams though don't you. I aim to climb to bigger clubs at some point, but the offers have to come in first. I like them as they are at the moment in mine (national leagues). I didn't realise you could organise them yourself.

Oh yeah! Just grabbed two goals (my first brace) against Villa, to take my season total to 4. We were 1-0 down and i scored the equaliser, with a placed finesse finish past Friedel and also our third goal in a 3-2 win.

Just when i thought i was rubbish and not up to much, along comes my performance of the season. :))

So far in my debut season, i have:

18 matches (1228 mins)
4 goals (Everton, Hull, Villa x2)
1 assist
2 MVPs

You have already donemuch better than my Mansouri.
He scored 4 goals, had 2 MVP, one Man of the match and 6 assists...but this in 2 seasons for 3 different clubs (Grenoble, Toulouse, Nantes). He will start his 3th season with St-Etienen, which means that every tranfer window he changed teams...
I still can't understand why Nates never proposed him to stay, because he finally did well there...i will certainly continue Mansouri's carreer...nut not now.

yep 5 long seasons. Chelsea was in the same league and I was really waiting to get the division title and then move to another league. So I did,.. i played half a season for Chelsea, won the title and then moved to Real Madrid (I got an offer from Inter as well,.. Real is playing like old ladies, so I'm a bit disappointed now:CONFUSE:).

i just won the league with juventus and we were the runner up for the champions league its my 4th season and am waoting for inter milan i got offers from chelsea man u and milan so u r really lucky that u got an offer from inter i cant wait

Real Madrid wasn't bad after all. I managed to become the League D MVP! Just entered the WC 2014 in a group with Japan, Canada and Ireland. I scored a Hattrick in my first match against Japan!

You have already done much better than my Mansouri.

Yeah, i'm reasonably pleased so far. I tend to have a few uneventful games then some good ones. I'm played as a LMF 99% of the time and i try to get in the box. I allow myself to roam a bit :))

Isn't it so annoying when you're unmarked and your team mates don't pass :CURSE:

At 22 i managed to get an offer from Inter too, after 3 wondeful seasons with Fiorentina (30 goals and 16 ass in the last when we won the league and i was mvp, top goalscorer and assistman) still on the bench for the national team though.
In Inter the first 10 matches were kind of a drama, in and off the bench, but in the last 4 i settled, 4 wins and 3 goals plus 3 assists for me, guess Mourinho will start me all the times from now on.
Hope to add some silverware for my team

Probably because of the stats pal. My player is built like a brick shithouse but gets knocked off the ball like he's a 2 stone weakling. I guess its body balance that needs to be high stat wise to stop this from happening.

Also Professor Nutmeg, my mate got injured for 10 weeks and missed the conclusion to his 5th season. I've been injured, stretchered off but was ok for the next game.

Were you "A" on your injury stat?? I've been taken off the pitch injured, but always came back on straight away without any further injury.

My Real Betis man has started scoring again. Was stuck on 2 goals in about 6 matches. But scored 6 goals in the last 4-5 matches and back on track :D.

not long term, but i made myself a B for injury and got a few niggles, 2 weeks out at the most - it bugs me that players never get injured in PES - i'd put them all on B if I could..

After playing on Top Player for the past few years on Pro Evo I personally now find Professional to be the best all-round difficulty level as I find Top Player to be too unrealistic/OTT with the com seeming to score free-kicks every time it gets one. I'd even say Regular is pretty decent too if a little too easy and I'm happy playing on that, but I do think Professional has a nice balance to it in terms of challenge and realism. BTW nice to read everyone's enjoying BAL, god knows PES has been crying out for a mode like this for a long time.

Had a somewhat silly PK shoot-out in the cup against Man Utd. 1-1 after extra-time. It went all the way to van der Sar and Zuberbuhler taking spot kicks. vdS scored but Zuberbuhler missed. 9-8 to Man Utd.

Sadly i could only watch, having been subbed.

I've had one tie where my player had to take the decisive penalty and scored. One or two weeks later my player got transferred to Nantes...the club that he helped to eliminate...that sums up my BAL carreer...

I just started my BAL career, based the player on myself.

Playing as CF, I scored twice for FC Babylonia to impress some scouts. Following that got offers from Boro, Fulham and Portsmouth. I chose Fulham because they were the worst ranked, so I could get more chances of playing. Besides that, life in London is exciting :)

Trained several weeks until making the bench, the Manager started to use me on the 2nd half. In my second game, against Arsenal, I came in directly for the entire 2nd half, which made me proud.

On my 7th game I managed to score my first goal as a professional. It was so special because it was the winning goal (2-1) against the Spurs!

Now I'm a starter on the next game. Arsene, watch me! :D

I like that flattering feeling you get when you make your debut for a big club/England team but then after a few passes you're like "bring it on". lol prob the nearest you can get to the real thing.

Playing BAL mode actually improves your real life footbal performances. On some occasions when i received the ball, i sort of imagined the rader and where my players were then i done a long pass (also imagining the power guage) and the ball went straight to my team mate and he scored.

I love it, just pure class.

I too have used it to reflect on my real life footy. I think it's helping as I banged 4 goals in from midfield last weekend:SHOCK:

TIPS!!!

Is better to get 180+ of body height
I pick 188...haha

The most important things is you can controll the ball
WF-is a good role to start, because u'll get more fast.

Cornerkick, is a gift to make chance to scored, so dont miss it.

Strengthen dont seperate it!
learn 2 things that spesificly...

Driblle and speed for 2 years
Dribble and Kicking for 2 years
Stamina and up to u...

try it dude,,, its work...

the 1st match that you play is very important
Agility and aggresive need to be high!!!

to get higher rating,
-cut the ball from the enemy
-passing
-scoring
-Driblle

gud luck!!!

sorry my bad english...lol:P

So I've started a new BAL. I've created 4 Divisions with 'A' containing the very best teams from across Europe, 'B' the second best and so on through to 'D' which is a mish-mash of Scandinavian/French/Dutch clubs. I am currently in 'D' with Auxerre and it's going ok.

The team does not suit me perfectly, through trial and error I play best in a 4-4-2 formation with a heavy emphasis on attacking down the wing whereas Auxerre play a more stodgy 3-5-2 formation so I'm starved for opportunities at goal.

That said, I have 5 goals and 5 assists at the half way stage of the season, which I consider pretty good in light of my awful stats. Also, echoing something Style2ouL said, I'm now much smaller than my previous BAL (by 10cm) and am no longer getting goals from corners. Bugger.

Anyway, it's a pretty good division and despite the fact that we are 12th, we're only 6 points off 4th place so a good run could propel us right up there.

I imagine I will leave Auxerre at the end of the season, but I'm really looking to move up to 'C' where Racing are. All depends on what offers I get though - I've set transfer frequency to low and I only got 2 offers in the January window (both from clubs at the top of Division D) so an interesting summer awaits!

Nice Style2oul. I agree on strengthening you should concentrate on your main abilities. I have tech kicking on 5 bars as i want better shooting ability for my striker. The rest of my bars are spread out over speed, stamina and power. Got to keep woking on stamina.

Update on my striker BAL on normal mode. Normal mode is quite easy but I'm still enjoying it alot. I started at Real Betis and in my 2nd season with them we won the spanish league and champions league! I then got called up for the world cup with England which was brilliant. I'd changed the formation to a 4-4-2 for England and I was a super sub, scoring in every game off the bench, up until the final where I started because Owen was injured. Made the most out of my first start by scoring 2 goals from Beckham corners to come from behind against Spain and win. 7 goals got me top goal scorer as well so I was happy.

Had a few offers at the end of my 2nd season. Athletico madrid were tempting but I stayed with champions Betis.

4 games into the new season and 4 wins against some tough teams. Betis on fire!!! I find the team wins more often on normal mode.

whats up guyzz....i havee won all of the main awards at the top of BAL...World team of the year...World footballer of the year...European footballer of the year twice and European team of the year...:D...finally after 8 years of hard work on Top player...this career im looking to win at least something in each league (A-D) plus the masters cup...then ill retire...then im looking to start a new BAL as a DM(less pressure than my current Strikers role lol.)...and aim to become an arsenal legend.

Hope you guys are enjoying the mode too.!!
