Sony PSP/Vita

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

A new method of running emulators has just been released. It requires no swapping or anything. Just go to the menu and select the game to play.

All they did was use the 2 memory stick swap method but instead put both game folders into one memory stick and renamed one of them.
For example, if you have a folder called GAME/SNES/, you copy the SNES folder that you would have used on the other memory but call it SNES%.
So in your memory stick, you have 2 folders, one called SNES and another called SNES%.
Just go to the website and you'll figure it out.

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

Ive got it and its brilliant.
Well handy having 50 Megadrive games on the PSP.
It will be smart when the SNES emulator is running good.

Yeah me too, there are so far 3 top emulators the Megadrive, PC-Engine and the NES which are all great and getting better by the day...Its great to play all them classic jap shooters on the PC-Engine then a few goes on SMB1,2,3 and Dizzy on the NES....I wouldn't normally touch retro stuff for the XBOX or PS2 but it just feels right on a handheld.. The only problem i can see is that we may all need to invest in a second PSP if we want to continue with playing hombrew and emulation software and play the UMD discs cos you just know that when you come to insert GT4-mobile or another Sony UMD disc its gonna auto update our filmware....

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

Thats true. But then someone will just hack that firmware too.

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

Everything is stored on the memory stick so it depends on how much you spend on it.
A 512mb memory stick is a good size to use.

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

Is it possible to send and receive files to the memory card wirelessly (with a wireless router)? I've got the connection working to see the Internet etc., but is that as much as it can do?

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

wipeout pure expansion pack 2 is available for download.

sorry if this is old news...

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

Can you change the buttons around in FIFA? Are any English leagues below the Prem included in FIFA? WTS is okay but I hate the fact they couldn't be arsed putting in the option of changing your control settings... I hope all PSP games aren't "downsized" as well.

Re: PSP - The Official Thread

Yes, FIFA has lower English leagues. Havent tried changing controls, but I bet you can.

The worst thing of FIFA is the slowdown, and crap loading times. For example if a shot is wide, there is an odd 2-3 second freeze, until we see the goal kick.

No slowdown in WTS admittedly but the loading times are pretty crap too.

Re: PSP - The Official Thread
