Sony PlayStation 3

Better on PS3.... oh yeah and where did you get that from? from what ive heard developers say graphically these 2 consoles are as good as each other so I highly doubt VT3's graphics are going to be better on PS3...
Graphics are only better on the PS3 due to the VT3 arcade machine using an nvidia GPU like the PS3 does. Simply put, the game was already optimized for nvidia hardware thus when ported to another machine with nvidia hardware, all said optimization stay, unlike when you port to hardware of another kind, such as the ATI chip in the 360 that doesnt even use close to the same architecture.

Your the only one who has come up with something logical, that sounds about right but there wont be much difference will there? I honestly dont believe so as both the machines are goddamn powerful :)

But... Blu Ray issues again? http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=145419

Oh and for ThomasGOAL's info which is irrelevant I am 22 and he isnt really French :)

Ok isn't difficult ;)
no French, me ?

deftonesmx talks sense about graphics related stuff so I listen to him.....

TG has Man United replaced Chelsea's license for PES6 or are Chelsea still licensed?

DJ

Chelsea could still be licensed, after all the other clubs that are licensed arent in that list either (bayern, and some of the other best of the rest ones)

Yes but the problem, Chelsea are in the licence official product list before and not now.

isn't the thread

I was so amazed by the shininess of the PS3, I pre-ordered mine today, I should've done it a while back, but now I've gotta wait for the second shipment....sigh....ah well.....SHINY!

Where did you pre-order?

Adonis, has game started Wii/PS3 pre-order yet?

Gamestation

it wasn't so much a pre-order, more a 'leave you're name/address/phone number' and we'll start ringing round when we get the new stock in, I think all the pre-order slots were taken ages ago. So theres no chance of getting a launch date slot now if you haven't got one already.

you'd have to assume Game is the same as well

No mate.

We're getting really concerned tbh. I think we'll know around mid September as we have a yearly company conference around then, and big announcements tend to come when thats on.

PS3 Loses The HDMI Cable

Tags: Sony, Ken Kutaragi, HDMI We've always thought that the PS3 and HDMI is the perfect couple! We all know the PS3 as a next-gen gaming console. More publicity shy but equally impressive is HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), which links any compatible digital audio/video source, such as the PS3, to compatible digital audio/video monitor, such as HDTV.

About two months ago, no less than Ken Kutaragi was crowing about the PS3-HDMI partnership. His exact words were, "By introducing the next-generation HDMI 1.3 technology, with its high speed and deep color capabilities, PS3 will push the boundaries of audiovisual quality to the next level."

Sounds great except when you get your PS3 it won't come with an HDMI cable. Sony has confirmed that the PS3 will no longer ship with an HDMI cable because the company doesn't think there's enough of you out there with HDTV to justify including the HDMI cable even in the $599 PS3 package.

Come on Sony! Dont go cheap on us. Whats the point in hyping it up and then not even giving the cables to use it?! So if you want a fullspec ps3 it will now cost about $650 as a hdmi cable is about $50. I understand their reasoning, i havent got a hd tv yet. And probably wont be getting one for atleast another year, however they are just shooting themselves in the foot with the bad publicity it will generate.

Now shops will exploit everyone selling £10 HDMI cables which aren't that good and everyone will be grabbing them.

I'll end this whole debate on PS3 VS. 360 right now.

"It's all a matter of how much you want to spend"

Personally i went with a 360 becuase .

A. it's already out
B. will have it's good 2nd year games out sooner
c. it's got downloadable demos
d. wireless controller that shuts the unit on and off.
e. Dead Rising, saints Row,test Drive unlimited and gears of war

I know I will miss out on MGS4 and probably will want to play that along with "any" "new" "region--free" Winning Eleven, but right now it is NOT a a must have launch console. the Wii on the other hand is. Zelda looks to be the best in the series ever(the producers have made it with that in mind and have delayed the game constantly to just make it better). I also feel it's like naother DS concept. not really a console but a new way to play(gimmick still but who cares when it's only gonna be no more than 250). And then metriod 3. it's just the better choice. nintendos coming out with two AAA titles while the PS3 you have to wait with.

Yeah im leaning more and more towards xbox360 for pes6 and getting the ps3 next year for pes7. Atm there just isnt a game that has me interested enough to get a ps3. The main games ive played the last couple of years has been pes/gta/burnout. All of which will be availeble on the xbox. And konami has already said that they will be making pes as a standalone core version and then porting it to all consoles so it probably wont be looking any better on a ps3 then it will on the box.

Im sure hdmi cables can be bought for around £20 tbh. IMO it wouldve been stupid of Sony to put a hdmi cable with the console, as not many people have a tv with a hdmi port. Over 80% of people that Ive sold 360's to dont even have a hdtv.

The option to upgrade to hdmi is great though, something you wont be able to do with the 360. But the harsh reality is excellent hdmi cables cost close to £100

Thanks for that news Adonis.

I'm still gonna get a PS3. Iv'e resisted the temptation of 360 so far and feel good for it.(Even though its a pirates heaven firmware shit. Maybe PS3 can be like psp in firmware ways who knows):(

Like you say man, Bad news is Good news these days.8) ;)

I'm pretty sure that the PS3 will have downloadable demos once they sort out the online structure and everything.

Test Drive Unlimited is only gonna be good for the graphics, it wont be a good game, Dont get me started on Saints Row....

Dont get me started on Zelda either

No, I'm just saying that I wasn't willing to wait. Whwen there are game droughts they feel like decades esp. during a launch. heck i didn't even buy a 360 until this past april. when i was amped for fifa world Cup 20069though i bored with it it was something i had to have experienced)
