It WILL look better than FIFA 06 on the 360. The PS3 is a more powerful console. FIFA 06 looks shite anyway, apart from the grass, All FIFA games suffer from a stupid "shiny effect" on the kits, faces and stadiums etc, The 360 makes it look even worse. They've made the kits look crap when they could so easily have made them look good. The fonts on the kits are rubbish, and really the only good thing about FIFA's graphics is the grass.

FIFA is an early game so you can't judge it by their latest installment. Plus PES wont be out for a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time since the PS3 itself is being predicted to be released for next december in the UK.

Happy New Year everyone!

as ever, Im back with some news about the PS3.

I thought I'd do a bit of researching on the 2006 CES show. Ive dug up some pretty nice things.

Heres a link of the schedule of the entire duration of the show.

Now as we already know, the event officially starts on the 5th. Im sure though some of you are aware of the pre-show speech by Sir Howard Stinger (4th Jan). Oddly this isnt actually mentioned in the schedule, although a speech by Bill Gates is mentioned on the same day.

From the link though you can see clearly that on the 4th from 9am-5pm the show dedicates itself to games, calling it the CES Game Power Showcase and Forum.

Now I didnt even know about this, so Im looking forward to it even more now knowing there is a whole day dedicated to game related news.

along with this, you can see that on the 1st day (5th Jan) Sir Stinger conducts his opening day speech from 9am-11am.

Expect all sorts of Gaming news to come in the first 2 days.

The first speech by Sir Howard Stinger incedently starts at 1.15am UK time on the 5th Jan, so expect live feeds from various gaming websites around that time.

Really cant wait to hear some concrete news on the PS3 :)

Thats the UK release that I'm talking about. Japan will probably get it in the summer.
Of course this is just speculation but its very likely if they dont got for a worldwide release similar to Xbox 360.

If it goes by previous release dates then a Spring/Summer Japan release would mean Autumn/Winter NA release and a Spring/Summer 2007 EU release. It doesn't take 18 months+ to release it in Europe after Asia.

I bet on a release this year by the PS3.
But I have no rush really, there are plenty of games around to play with on all systems. The ps2 still has great titles I haven't played, and I believe I will get an x360 sooner or later.

The big question for me and many others is, if its out in Japan long before UK, should you buy it?

I'd be very tempted.

lol..its a loooong wait for the ps3 for us in the UK!
I hope that pes6 will be out for the xbox360 this October...it may not be all that next gen though.

I think I read a story in a magazine that suggest that Next Gen PES is already well under way. Maybe we can expect a November ish 2006 release date for PES 360.

Mate they have got ages to work on it! Konami would have been given an Xbox 360 Dev Unit in the summer of last year just like most other games publishers so I would have thought a decent PES Next Gen will be available on Xbox 360.
