Serie A Thread - 2014/15 Season

Re: Serie A Thread

Is Amauri eligible to play for Italy yet?

not yet mate. maybe in summer he will be.
amauri is a world class player. he would be a starter in any team in the world. but still i'm not sure i'd like to see him wearing italy's jersey. i mean, he's brazilian, it wouldn't be really fair.

btw how clueless is dunga! i can't believe he still didn't call him.
mancini, taddei, amauri and simplicio... none of them is a starter in dunga's formation.... that's just ridiculous.

Re: Serie A Thread

Amauri is certainly world class lo zio (what's you real name btw). And it's a shame he hasn't go a start for Brazil yet. It's sad to see Brazilian national team with so much politics where players like Daniel Alves and Amauri haven't been starting regularly, because these positions are already given to the likes of Cafu, Cicinho etc.

my name is Ben, mate. u can call me Ben, my friend ;):D

yep, there's something weird about brazil national team.... but at least dani alves gets some playtime, and lately became almost a regular starter...
what's really crazy is that simplicio, taddei and amauri don't play. i mean they're exactly what brazil needs: a "balance central midfielder" an high quality hard worker who can keep midfield and attack always close each others and a pure world class striker.

i really don't understand.

Re: Serie A Thread

i just noticed there are no inter fans in this forum...... right?

btw fantastic performance by the nerazzurri today. they played with many backups but still played beautiful football and beated a very good livorno....

a very good display, compared to inter's last matches.... wich might mean that they just went through their bad period... and even during this bad period they were able to keep their record safe....

now they are 29 matches... they don't loose since the fenerbache match...... it was a life ago!
25 victories 4 draws....
damn, i would really love to be an inter fan now :(

Re: Serie A Thread

Damn, Inter on form :(

There goes our last chance for a trophy :(

Roma have any chance at all? I have fallen in love with their style of play, after match against Kiev.

never say never mate. i mean, sooner or later they'll have to loose a match. And liverpool loss will boost the (liverpool) players determination and motivation for sure.;)

as for roma, they were awesome this season. they too faced a short bad period (still displaying their fantastic football btw) and lost just few points.
the giallorossi were fantastic. the problem is that, unlike inter, they're humans....

inter still didn't lose 1 single game this season in serie a. 22 games, 17 victories and 5 draws.... and the stats gets even more impressing if we consider all their games (CL and coppa italia included)...... 31 matches, 25 victories, 5 draws and 1 loss.....

honestly it would be impossible for roma to reach them.... actually it would be impossible for everbody to reach them... i mean wtf real madrid, lyon, arsenal, roma, manchester... every team face a bad period during a season... every team loses sometimes.
and inter too went through a bad period... but they kept winning even when they were playing bad...

btw i can't wait to watch juve - roma tonite \\:o/

Re: Serie A Thread

CASSANOOOOOO!!!!!!!

he has been fantastic this season. and consistant too (wich is pretty unusual for him).

but what he did today is fucking UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
:applause::applause::applause::applause::applause:
if he keeps playing like this, he'll be worthy of baggio's nr. 10 italy jersey this summer :)

Best 45 minutes of Juve this season in the first half vs Roma. I'm quite proud of my side .
very good match, Don ;)

Re: Serie A Thread

How both Cassano and Alex aren't included yet is incomprehensible.

in the past few years italy played fantastic football with 1 striker and 2 advanced midfielders\support foward behind them.

-----------------toni---------
-----di natale------------camoranesi

toni is absolutely untouchable. is a world class striker..... the greatest of all the world class strikers in the last 5 years (eto'ò villa, van nistelrooy, drogba... nobody scored more than him)

camoranesi is perfect on the right, because he doesn't help just toni.... he's a value added to our midfield too.

di natale is a natural left footed so he's the most appropriate choice on the left. he's doing great with udinese.... and he always did great with italy too.

del piero should be di natale's backup, but he said he doesn't wanna play in that position... so he called himself out....

talking about cassano he should be camoranesi's alternative, when we need a more aggressive line up (but quagliarella too was very good in that position).
donadoni told him "keep playing like u're doing, don't mess up everything as u usually do, and i'll call u for the euro competition"....

at this point of the season, i'd say it's pretty sure cassano will join the azzurri this summer \\:o/

Mario Sconcerti just remarked cassano has been the best player in serie a so far this season, according to the journalists weekly ratings 8-)

EDIT:
i forgot to remark Paolo played his 1000th match as a pro yesterday...

Re: Serie A Thread

Toni scored a hat trick today. Cassano is great, but I still think hes an idiot. In the first half he kept diving and arguing. He needs to stop being such a child.

of course he's an idiot.... and i don't think he will ever change.....

but ste, who fucking cares! he can change a match just by himself.
many world class players have a bad attitude...
if he would learn a bit of self-control, and avoid some stupid red cards, it would be great... but that's him and i don't think he will ever change.
he might improve a bit (talking about his attitude on the pitch), just a little bit.... and actually he already did it this season.

he's a child, a stupid child, but talking about tecnique, he's on the same planet of ronaldinho ;)

btw mate when did he dive? he was badly tackled by genoa cbs for the whole match, but i can't remember any dive.

Re: Serie A Thread

Ben, Cassano was outstanding today, it was like watching talentino of old. I sincerely hope he continues this way as I always knew he was a quality player but we all know about his well documented issues & i'm sure there will be a host of clubs queuing up for his signature.

What can I say about Ale.....IDOLO (Bow down & kiss the ring)

Re: Serie A Thread

he's a child, a stupid child

And if he continues with his lousy attitude
then he will never fufill his true potential.

The guy makes me laugh, he probably argues with
himself in the mirror every morning.

...and Del Piero's free kick against Roma made me
spit my tea out absolutely stunning.

Ronaldo free-kick 'specialist' my arse.

Re: Serie A Thread

i'm pretty sure that's exactly what will happen, mate.
he's probably one of the most idiot cunts in europe, talking about football players....
but even if he shows just the 50%\70% of his potential (wich is exactly what he's doing this season), he's still one of the greatests players in europe in his role. ;)

what a waste of talent btw :(

...and Del Piero's free kick against Roma made me
spit my tea out absolutely stunning.
about 9 years ago we used to call those kind of free kicks "free kicks a la del piero"... :)

Re: Serie A Thread

It was absolutely brilliant!

He is still a fucking genius! Just love the legend that is Del Piero. Has got to be my all time favorite player ever :applause:

Re: Serie A Thread

theres a only a couple of players who can produce "magic" like that... makes you smile and say to yourself "lolwtfgtho!!!" :lmao:

a la "del piero" indeed... :applause:

Re: Serie A Thread

Cassano's story is quite sad really but it's all his own fault. He had a chance at 'big' clubs like Roma and Real Madrid where it would be easier for him to show the world what he can do, but both times have not really worked out how he'd have liked and he didnt really shine.

Now he's at a smaller club, not playing in European competion but he is showing why Real and Roma paid all that money for him, and why he was seen as a future star.

It's a shame his personality gets in the way so much because he's an awesome player. At least he is young enough to turn it around.

Re: Serie A Thread

Alex *The Man* Del Piero will alwayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyys be a legend and one of football's most supported players! (He has fans all over the world and I'm just one of the millions) :D :applause:

Ever since I was a little kid, that guy has been entertaining me and my family and friends with his wonderful skill and intelligent football brain. Classy on the green field and off of it as well. Loyal and hardworking. Humble and a leader.

I'll never forget guys like him, Giggs and Raul. They've always been there at the highest level and always done their work.

TRUE LEGENDS of the game who've given us all so much!!! God bless them all!

I too enjoyed that FK and game. Totti was pretty poor though and did nothing. He did better against Real Madrid though perhaps because he was more fit by then.

As for Antonio, once a talented cunt, always a talented cunt.

He does by the way, look a lot better I think with his current hair length and style than different ones he's had in the past.

Re: Serie A Thread

PLF are you saying he's a cunt for his looks? LOL

Speaking from personal experience, any problems with the skin can really destroy someones self esteem and confidence, and yet he just continues on, yes albeit it with cockyness.

Re: Serie A Thread

Because of his looks? :-s
No bro, that's not what I'm saying at all.

I'm not one to judge someone because of a situation like that which is often hereditary, genetic and for the most part out of someone's control anyway.

I've had my fair share of problems with acne during my teenage years and I still do to some extent at 21 and so am if anything sympathetic to people with skin problems rather than harsh about it. :)

I was saying Antonio is a cunt because of his personality.
Not because of his skin!

You should hear Cassano speak!

I should but then I don't understand Italian. Care to elaborate on that statement then... ? :p

------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, I missed out on the season's 2nd Genoa derby!
Did I miss much?

Re: Serie A Thread

nah PLF just misunderstood with your comments about his hair etc.

i remember watching football Italia and James Richardson sat there at a cafe table with a smug grin on his face and rolled off several jokes about Cassano's appearance. Thought that was a bit off.

Re: Serie A Thread

I was saying (not sarcastically) that I think his current short hairstyle looks good on him. Probably better than he's ever looked before.
Just a personal opinion though, maybe others don't agree.
