Let's go space truckin'! When Deep Purple's song of the same name hits Rock Band next week, that is. That high powered classic rock jam is part of next week's DLC melange, an odd assortment.

Jethro Tull, Snow Patrol and James Gang join Deep Purple to ring in the new year, Rock Band style. Beginning December 30 — PlayStation 3 owners will have to wait patiently until January 8 to get these tracks — the following downloadable tracks will be available for Rock Band and Rock Band 2.

• Snow Patrol “Take Back the City”
• Deep Purple “Space Truckin’”
• James Gang “Funk #49”
• Jethro Tull “Hymn 43”

Tracks are $1.99 (or 160 Microsoft Points) each and are, of course, masters.

anything on some huey lewis songs? for this or guitar hero, i don't give a shit. but i want to play power of love really badly.

To the people who have had this a while now - Is it still worth importing ?

I've hardly touched RB1 for a few months now, partly due to other great games coming out and partly because I've done as much as I feel I can with the tracks from RB1.

does Rb2 offer more to do after you hit your skill limit with the tracks?

Erm, not sure as I don't play it that much! There's not much different to be honest, apart from the ability to do World Tours online, and World Tours single player.

I downloaded Take Back The City last night and recorded my first go on it :DD. I'll post it later!

I have finally decided to buy this, this will be my first venture into this type of gaming.

Was wondering if anyone knew of any good deals?

Just went to the Canadian game site to buy this and had 2 things.

1 - it came to about £41 inc delivery costs which was more than i expected
2 - even if i wanted to get it at that price every time i tried to put the order through i'd get a 'transaction declined'

I might just wait for the EU release (30th Jan, what a piss take sony!) and borrow my brothers disc to copy tracks over and then see if i can get his DLC that i already have from the US version.

Yeah, I'll just cut my losses and lose it all and redownload anything i did have that my bro might have got from the EU store.

Ah I get you know. Seems daft to make games region-free but lock the DLC, very annoying.

A "source" has told VG247 that Traveller's Tales' next LEGO game won't be Star Wars. Won't be Indiana Jones, either. Won't be Robocop, won't be Predator, won't be Halo. It'll be LEGO Rock Band.

Seems the rumour stems from an interview on Britain's Radio One last night, in which TT swore a new LEGO game would be out this year. Despite earlier indications their next game would be a LEGO Harry Potter, VG's source - who claims to be "100 percent correct” - has instead made the Rock Band call.

Seems like an absolute waste of the LEGO name, not to mention a pointless overcrowding of the Rock Band "genre", but hey, crazier, stupider things have happened in this business.

Pretty damning review and it sounds shitty compared to RB1, let alone RB2. No buy from me then.

I was hoping to pick up a cheap rockband 1 solus game as I thought you could transfer the tracks to RB2. Is that not the case?

I thought ebay would be full of cheap RB1s.

They'll not be cheap, just buy one for about 20 quid, pay your 400 points, welcome 50 odd more songs and sell it on as quickly as possible.

I finally found a french copy of RB2. What a mission !
I had to visit 12 stores before buying the last copy at a GAME shop.
Thery're not getting new copies before february...

Hey Tim thanks for the generous offer, I will need to get RB2 first though :)

I only have GHWT at the moment and wanted to give RB a bash. I like the level of guitar hero and have heard that RB is a bit easier. Just wanted to grab a cheap copy and try it out.

I guess I could always rent it.

It's a biy easier (some songs are insane even on hard) but it's more fun. I've played 2 hours, it seem huge.
I was only doing "challenges" because I didnt see the big "START" or "BEGIN" panel above it :P.
