The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks and feature Snoop’s own in-house band, the “Snoopadelics.”

“When Van Toffler and I sat down Boss to Boss, a global quintuple threat takeover was masterminded. As the world of entertainment keeps changing, we felt it was the right time to let Snoop Dogg back on MTV so we could continue to run thangs with music, movies, DVDs and bring Hip-Hop to Rock Band." said Snoop Dogg. "So screw ya wigz on tight and tune in on Tuesday nights for the first step to the next level of Snoop D-O double G. Dogg after Dark is the only nightclub tv show hosted by you know who. "Snoop has been a mainstay across MTV screens for over a decade by pushing the boundaries of hip-hop with his signature antics, incredible catalogue of music, legendary videos, larger than life personality and even a little controversy," said Van Toffler, President, MTV Networks Music / Films / Logo Groups. "I can't even begin to imagine MTV, my tumultuous career and several raging ulcers without the Dogg being such a big part of our history. He is an undeniable international superstar whose talent and work transcend music, tv and film and we look forward to launching this new multidimensional partnership with the Doggfather."

“From iconic VMA performances to DoggyFizzle Televizzle and everything imaginable in between, MTV has always been a home for Snoop's music and comedic expressions and will continue to be that through this exciting new partnership,” said Amy Doyle, Executive Vice President of Music and Talent for MTV.

The Grammy-Award nominated rapper’s unprecedented deal with MTV will let loose Snoop Dogg’s upcoming, new album, Malice In Wonderland, with global distribution, marketing and promotion. Featuring some seemingly unlikely musical guests, the album will feature tracks by Dr Dre, Pharrell and Lalo Shifrin, is scheduled to be released later this year. In addition, songs from Snoop Dogg’s impressive catalogue of hits will be released on MTV’s hot-selling Rock Band® music video game platform.

“Dogg After Dark” is Executive Produced by Snoop Dogg. Tony DiBari, Tim Healy and Karen Frank are Executive Producers for MTV. Matt Parillo is Executive in Charge of Production. Should be interesting to see how they make these work

:)) Not the hardest song by a long way I know, but still I'm happy with that. (Playing guitar by the way).

Re: Rock Band 2

Wowsa you must be a pretty good singer! I have only ever got 100% on 3 songs, that one, When You Were Young and Perfecte Welle.

Re: Rock Band 2

Chinese Democracy is coming out in full to RB2 in 'the spring'...

Coolio.

:LMAO:

One tune and that'll be it, much better if they done the GH, cause CD is damn poor for an album that took 17 years and X Millions to make.

WHaddya mean '1 tune'? Its already got Shacklers Revenge in it.

Its a great CD anyway - There Was a Time, Chinese Democracy, If the World (Superb), Better, Madagascar - at least 5 very good songs and it fits very nicely into the GnR back catalog...

Re: Rock Band 2

I found the album very over produced, it was over baked, Chinese Democracy was the only really decent tune on it IMO, it's certainly not content I will be buying for RB2

After 17 years, Axl's ego and around 300 different musicians playing on it, how could it NOT be over produced

Re: Rock Band 2

Axl's ego and total band control dictatorship ruined GN'R and he could never of come back with anything of the class of the earlier tunes. Anyhow, back on topic, I would maybe buy Chinese Democracy if I could buy that tune only.

Re: Rock Band 2

Just had the best session ever on this. Me and my band (me on vocals, and a guitarist and a drummer, all on expert) all got 100% at least once time each. We also got gold stars on 2 songs, something we'd never done before.

Also, the Thin Lizzy live tracks are excellent!

Re: Rock Band 2

Bloody hell you guys are good .

I only got The Boys Are Back In Town from that pack, doesn't sound as good live as the original master would :((.

Re: Rock Band 2

As you can see, there are 591 songs available for Harmonix's Rock Band "platform". But did you ever wonder how many are hard and how many easy? Or which genre is most represented?

Pwn or Die did, so they sat down and started taking notes. At the end of it, we have not only statistics on the game's song library, but statistics represented as graphs. And everybody loves graphs. Especially rock n' roll graphs.

The one above, showing the musical genres represented in the game, is probably the most interesting, even if it is also the most contentious (as genre classifications generally are). There's a few more - including breakdowns of songs by decade and songs by difficulty - at the link below.

Any PS3'ers still playing this? Gonna order it tomorrow from VG+ and would be good to do an online band world tour :)

Yup, played it most of the weekend (on Drums now!).

GH Metallica is out next week (not sure when I will get it from VG+ though) so will prob be on that more, but I'm always up for RB2.

Re: Rock Band 2

Excellent. I might invest in the GH:WT drums and sell my RB1 drums. Worth it? Are the drums available seperately or is an eBay job?
