Re: Rock Band 2

Nope mate, Ten is available on the US store. Playing Black gave me shivers, awesome tune!

Re: Rock Band 2

Through the Rock Band store itself, under both New Releases and Albums.

Just played Garden

I haven't played RB in ages. I used to be alright on Hard level, now I'm pretty poor and only getting 80%'s :(

Re: Rock Band 2

Hmmm... didnt think you can download through the store - I'll give it a go, cheers!

keeps booting me out (logged on via my US account) saying "Store is unavailable"

Damn, I'll try later... trying to learn "Sad But True" on the real drums at the moment anyway!

"Why Go" just kicked my ass.

The Rock Band guitar is shit really. Played the last few songs with it and while it's a lot easier to change frets (and get to the orange button especially), the strumming feels utter shite and the guitar itself feels like a toy.

Back to the GH:WT guitar for me!

Re: Rock Band 2

My god, how good is that Ten album?! Just played it through back to back on 'hard' guitar.

If these masters are taken from the newly released (remastered) album, then I'm definitely getting it - the sound is so much richer and vibrant than the original, finishing touches to a superb album.

Cannot wait to crack the drums out on this bad boy tomorrow!

Re: Rock Band 2

It gets better... Journey's "Dont Stop Believing" coming next week to DLC!

(Think 'Sopranos' final ever scene :)) )

Re: Rock Band 2

Meh, it's an alright song, probably not a purchase for me although the missus might want to sing it I guess.

What'dya think of 'Ten'?

Also, have you seen the bonus songs about (REALLY want 'State of Love and Trust' and 'Yellow Ledbetter'...)

Re: Rock Band 2

I love it! I really have lost my touch with Hard level guitar though so my enjoyment turned to frustration at times (and medium is just really easy) but the songs ... just full of win as Yana would say! Black is a TOP tune, can't wait to sing on the album as well :D

What's this about bonus songs?

Know what you mean, I started on Expert guitar last night and just got murdered - where a month or so ago, I could get through most songs bar the last tier.

Played on Hard and whilst at first it seemed more boring, I got well into it and there is some nice sections in all the songs. So many of the songs surprised me too - think it was Porch, that was just awesome to play and Why Go too.

Black is amazing though and I'll be playing through these again with vocals for sure - cannot wait!

In the USA, I *think* if you brought the redux album from Bestbuy, you got a code to get 3 bonus songs, the 2 I mention above and 1 other 'B' side that I cannot remember... I'll have to have a look around.

I'd love to see the words to Yellow Ledbetter as I dont think anyone has EVER got the right lyrics to it, such was Eddies mumbling in it!

====

You can just walk into Best Buy today and buy the Deluxe version and get the songs, doesnt need to be a pre-order.

Inside the CD box comes a little black sheet of paper with instructions and a code.
Goto www.rockband.com/pjoffer give your email and the code and within seconds you will recieve an email with a new code to enter into your PS3 or 360.

Quick and painless, the "Ten Bonus Pack" is now on your downloads list forever.

I just got done playing all three songs on expert guitar and woooo! What a workout.
Those live Mike McCready solos are insanely delicious. Yum!

The charts for Alive (Drop in the Park) are much harder then the album version.
Completely different. State of Love & Trust is also amazingly fun on guitar.

From GameFaqs... people saying they wont be released to the public at large :(

Hmm, I'm seeing different bonus songs to you.

US, February 3, 2009 - Rockers around the world cheered with MTV's announcement that Pearl Jam's 1991 album Ten would be made available for as downloadable content for Rock Band. The March release coincides with the release of the Deluxe Edition of Ten or the even more impressive Super Deluxe Edition.

The Super Deluxe Edition, priced at $199.99, comes with a score of extras, including a previously unreleased "Unplugged" show, four vinyl LPs, and a vial of Eddie Vedder's blood*.

If you pick up either edition from Best Buy, you'll also receive a code to download three Rock Band bonus tracks for PS3 or Xbox 360. "Brother," "Alive (live version)," and "State of Love & Trust (live version)" will be available when you make your purchase on March 24.

*Vial of blood not included.

Re: Rock Band 2

Did you get the free 20 bonus songs from the manual code, PB? Looks like the European version gives you the Track Pack 2, while the US code is for the "unknown" bands.

Never tried it to be honest... I've got the NTSC version anyway and the 20 tracks are rubbish, so never bothered.

Re: Rock Band 2

Hmm seen a few people saying they thought the free NTSC tracks were some of the best on the game ... 20 free songs, I'm getting them regardless of them being crap

Re: Rock Band 2

Tim, you need to download the Pearl Jam album though, seriously. It's a fantastic album and well worth the money. And tracks like Alive kick my arse with their guitar solos so you should get a good test from it :)

Re: Rock Band 2

If it came on the game I'd play it, but I don't really wanna pay for DLC that I don't even know .

Re: Rock Band 2

Some of the best songs ever written - musically and lyrically. You are missing out fella!

Would have to agree. Either get the album or at least listen to the tracks on YouTube, you can see the note charts then as well.
