I hope Owen comes back to the premiership!
Its will have to be to either Arsenal or Man Utd cuz no one else can afford him.

I bet if Owen came available Chelsea would be interested sure they said they dont need another striker but they one player they seriously lack is an out and out goal scorer especially a proven Premiership goal scorer , but would hope to see him at Man U as they would have a seriously good chance of winning the league with him.

So they have Ronaldo, Raul, Robinho and Baptista.
Is Owen still sure he wants to stay?

Baptista won't play as a Forward .. He will play a mid ..
But Portillo will play as a sub .. So Owen might Leave ! :-s

Portillo is out on loan, the deal is that Portillo will play and Madrid will pay wages. I think Madrid might try to get R.Ferdninand with Owen. I would not be suprised if Baptista fails to "outshine" other players that he will be used to get A.Cole from Arsenal.

too many forwards for real madrid, i dont think this will be any good for the team

same here, but i think when woodgate comes back he'll be on a personal mission to prove himself...and with him and helguera at the back thats not a bad partnership, and of course two of the best wing backs in the world.

samuel was just not as good as people had thought i guess?

I never thought he was as good as people thought. At Roma he wasnt exactly world class, but was a very dirty and aggressive tackler who fouled alot.

I think he can't play at the same level as when he played in AS Roma, probably in Spain he was a deception because they thought, wrong I think, he was going to solve all the defensive problems.

Spain seems to have the most successful strikers.
Even when failed English strikers go there they do well.
Eg. Forlan
And now hopefully Kezman.

I do agree with this statement, but at the same time i think forlan has always been world class, he was continually scorin at international level, he just wasnt given a real chance at united. When he did have a run, he scored goals.

Also i think the spanish league is a more attack minded league, so obviously strikers will thrive in that league.

One thing that helps strikers in Spain, compared to in England, is that they tend to be given more time on the ball and less physical contact than they would face if they were playing vs an EPL team.

This is not an endorsement of one league over the other - just a general observation.

I think your spot on, Forlan never got the time he wanted in The Prem just that bit of extra time to look up means alot to strikers, he got that in spain and look what happenend.

If Owen would have got the starts he earned he would have challenged for the golden boot IMHO.

think that's slightly over the top, you don't play 30 games (up front) without scoring if you're world class.

Neil Shipperley is the definition of a truly world class player.

I agree with vanizzle about the time thingy, but i reckon forlan could have worked on that if he had got more support from man u, again something that i agree chelsea are guilty of -->kezman, mutu.

off topic: SXFuzz --> did i see you dancing at a bus stop earlier next to two fat birds flashing their breasts? im pretty sure it was you! :D

Well Thierry Henry agrees with him.

If United do get him, and its after the first champions league match, it doesn't matter that he wasn't in the champions league squad right? Only if he plays a game for another team?
