Rangers Thread

Its not a financial crisis.......

If it was there would be drastic action taken. The board at Rangers didnt get to where they are by being poor with money. i am confident that if the board say were moving in the right direction, then thats whats hapning.

I think by moving in the right direction he means were no longer sinking and were starting to pull back rather than going deeper. it may not b as quick a process as some on this topic would like but as long as u keep the bank manager happy with healthy installments then good stuff.

Heard a rumour - from a reliable source - that the reason Barry Ferguson asked for a transfer away from Rainjurz was because he has been having a bit on the side with that burd from Radio Clyde, Suzie Maguire and he was caught out by his missus. She apparently gave him the ultimatum - Move or else.

As i said, it is only a rumour. But would tie in with him asking for a move so shortly after signing a lengthy new deal.

heheh yeah we were pretty crap but still scraped the win, never a bad thing :)

lovenkrands, lol ffs....

good goal he scored so we'll let him away with it.

should have been 2-0 up in the 1st half, but who cares we won, 3 points...

lets hope them bhoys give munich a good pumpin *for hurting michael mols of course*
:D

Only saw the second-half, didn't see an equaliser coming tbh, 2 fortunate strikes but with 2 of their main players out I don't think Rangers will be complaining.

And someone tell McLeish they were playing Stuttgart not Hamburg lol.

Well done.

Yep, good result for the blue lot. I was hoping they'd get beat personally as so far Stuttgart are the only team to f*ck my coupon along with Crystal Palace on my other one. :x

Both teams where poor on the night but Rangers wouldn't give up, Stuttgart thought that was it at 1-0 and apart from Kuryani and Hleb don't have good attacking options so tried to rely on their defence. All three goals where fortunate to be honest, but you can't knock back a win no matter how badly you've played. Did you see Ricksen, pure out of it he was.

good result, happy as a scottish fan! lets hope celtic can scrape a point in germany.

fancy rangers to progress, easier group than celtic, man utd apart nothing between the other three. celtic I fear will struggle, but lets hope I am wrong.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!!!!

What a result for the Gers. At half time I was shitting it thinking we'd be unlucky yet again as we usually are in the Champions League.

But what a goal from Lovenkrands! I was steamin' at the game but I was sober enough to see that absolute belter! Shame about his two misses at the end. Of course I don't really mind that he missed it, but had it still been 1-0 to Stuttgart, he would have got slaughtered!

Scrappy 2nd half but we still won, 3 points in the bag means I'm happy!

Sitting in college just now wearing a Bayern Munich getting growled at by the Celtic fans! It's just a wind up so lets hope they see it that way and I make it home!

hehe.

I wish pundits would stop calling him "Curry An-Yi", like some combination of a Indian dish and a Korean footballer - his name is Kuranyi, that's "KOO-RAN-YI"!!!

lol foxtrot, when i was playing 7 a sides the other week, there was about 5 players on the other team wearing varying years versions of the FC Copenhagen strip, one guy was wearing one that was several years too young for him, lol. All celtic fans, and all loving the wind-up value :)

lol @ McLeish saying Hamburg

lol @ Gerry McNee calling the rangers fans celtic fans right before the start of the game... tit.

Cant remember exactly what he said, (was a bit pissed) but he definately did, either that or Mr Stella was playing "mindfuck" again :D

Looks lovely. Here's hoping it stays that way. Bring on Panathinaikos.

I turned over to the Man Utd game at half-time today, Hearts are fuckin shite to put it mildly.

btw how in the blue fuck did they not get a pen for that De Vries one? The Georgian lad fouled him twice in one go!

Yeah I wondered that myself. Khizanishvili put his hands up as if to say "Look I'm not touching him!" then pull him down, then put his hands back up again lol!

Should have been a penalty but, ah well. We win again with a nice 4-0. Arveladze's first goal was a beezer. It couldn't have been anymore in the corner.

Emerson's shot on goal that led to the third would have been some goal too!!! Marvellous save by Moilanen onto the post! It's just bounced off the post nicely for Arveladze to tap in. Claims for offside but the TV showed the linesman was right in keeping his flag down.

4-0, top of the league, 100%

We shall not be moved!

Well done to Rangers for the Stuttgart win, it wasnt pretty but they took their chances and Stuttgart are decent side so fair play to them. Who's up next for them ? Man Utd or Pana'kos ? Also did they sign Emerson in time for him to play in the CL... hes a good signing, did well for Atleti last season it will be a shame if he only features in the SPL.

Panathinaikos are next and we have a boost already. Olisadebe is out until mid-November after undergoing a knee operation. He'll miss the Stuttgart game too.

Yes Emerson can play in the CL. He started on Tuesday night and played well from what I can remember. Good ball control and great strength.

Yeah same here, I switched onto the Man Utd game (that was sh!t to put it mildly) at half-time. It's kinda laughable to think Hearts the '3rd force' haven't beat Rangers in 23 games (5 years). No wonder people laugh at our league, that would be like saying the likes of Liverpool or Newcastle not beating the likes of Arsenal and Man Utd.

FD

This is why Hearts are not the '3rd force' in Scotland. They are so overrated it is unbelievable. Why the hell was Sandy Clark saying how brilliant Valois was when he was on the bench? What did he do last season? Scored a free kick and had about 2 good matches.

Upfront they have De Vries (Who i admit is a good player) and a first division player. Then 3rd choice is someone who cant get a game for a Northern Ireland team that havent scored in over 1000 fookin minutes.

There is no way that they can be considered a 3rd force and i hope they get humped on Wednesday.

Anyway, who have Rangers got next week? I think they will go even further ahead since Celtic play the mighty Hibs on Saturday.

Fook, those guys are nutters. Did you see their main picture in the riots section - guy with a gun.

Funnily enough I have a Panathinaikos ball in the home I bought in Greece a couple of years back, mainly because they play in Green and White and have a shamrock.

Panathinaikos are my favourite Greek side, but I wouldn't wish any of that shite on anyone, even you lot ;).

They're mental, they have a waterpolo and basketball section too, and they bloody organize riots there as well! As some one on a Celtic forum said, "yup, they're absolute heid the baws".

ye i had a look around the site and had a look at the other sections, thats just not right, theres actually ppl walking around with that mentality....

I cannot wait until we meet Rangers in the Champions League - they need some PROPER opposition, as they face shitty SPL teams week-in, week-out (with the exception of Celtic).

We will walk all over them I reckon.

Views guys?
