When I started playing on the stream, the defensive line was in utter shambles (left CB following attacker deep into the box, resulting in easy chances for both user and CPU).

It wasn't until late into the night, after testing on SuperStar and Top Player, that Fluid Formation does in fact need to be on. However, all you need to do is change the "Numbers in Attack" and "Numbers in Defense" to FEW. That's it.

I'll have a video on youtube comparing without the 'Few' in attack/defense versus 'Many', but for now here is the highlight of what I played with last night (after suffering 3 matches on 'default' of poor defensive AI).

No difference at all in how the game plays then between PC PES and PS4 PES?

Here in Argentina I bought PEs 2016 Pc key at 36 dollars, is very cheap guys, gameplay is very good,I have i7 4770k geforce gtx 760 and input lag zero compared to pes 2015, now I have to update logos and kits and wow! importing kits is not good, what about fonts? it is better importing like last year,adding a cpk patch etc etc

Playing for the first time PES 2016 and what i can say?
Why i still play this game?! the same s...it! a few stadiums, gameplay identical to the all pes. honestly i think that KOnami wants only money! i m disapointed

Impressions are nice to read and like the videos Matt linked. Seems smoother, hopefully no input lag or whatever that nonsense was from last year. Probably still not as fully optimized as it should be, but seems better.

Fouls and lack of stadia are my big concerns. I know the great modding community can do wonders, but hoping there isn't a staida cap like in previous versions. Likely to do the cd keys deal as I did with FIFA 16 pc, hopefully two quality games, each with their own issues, for the price of one.

commentary still sucks, the new guy sounds pretty lame...
oh well heres to waiting another 4-5 years, maybe then we'll giet something exiting

as i never got into pes 2014-2015 i never learnt how to use the right stick,
does anyone have a good vid tutorial?
is it only for tricks or does it control the players weight\balance?

maybe it plays out differently if you play it :) who knows. and cool, by defeault you'll get a youth team with mixed nationality, but now with MU in the first summer i got 10+ youth academist with English nationality

only in 2014 and it was brilliant imo! now it's used for tricks in a weird combination with the left stick. I don't really get it either, but I'm not bothered because I'm not into tricks and skills that much

Sounds awesome! It must mean that 38 is the max age tho.. Can this be changed? IIRC in FIFA it's 35 or 36... Wonder why they don't let it go at least until 40. :SS

Quick question or 2.

Is the PC version the same as the PS4 version and not worse?

I will get a new laptop/PC in the coming weeks, so I can hook it up to my 4k TV and play, and I cant be bothered getting the PS4 version and messing about editing/option files.

Will it be easy enough in the near future/now to download one of these mods/patches on other sites and have it perfect. ie kits/faces/balls/LOD/game speed.

If it is easy I'll wait and get PC version.

Played one game on superstar, manual and -1 speed...game is definitly slower than ps4 demo..here are stats

Another issue is the slow keeper reactions in certain situations. Has anyone seen those in their time with the PC version?

I think I have read it is low shots that bug the keeper and seem too easy. Not sure what causes it, but just hate seeing replays of goals where the keeper reacts so slowly, almost seems "scripted", for lack of a better word/term.

How do you expect it to be faster or the same speed when u play at -1 speed ?

How about he plays both on -1? :P

Guys who have the PC version, how is online this year? I don't have time to really get into Master League and all the offline modes, so I'll be playing mostly online. That could be a big factor for consideration.

checked the regenerated players...Drogba is regenerated only from the major players who retired

WOW! :D I'd love to get back into ML. It was my favorite game mode, wasted hours upon hours in 2013! Didn't touch it in 2014 and 2015. I'm really really tempted to buy the game, but don't want to risk without trying the demo :SS

People who claim that PES 2016 plays the same as 2015 are completely, and utterly full of you know what. I'm just putting that out there as I've already seen it here and a few other places.

I'm sure it's one thing to watch and another to feel the game, but even so 2016 seems to have gotten rid of the awkward animations of players turning around, looking like they're undecided which way they want to go. Also, I see proper tackles and collisions, unlike the train wrecks we witnessed in 2015 :LOL:

It's got that old PES feeling, reminds me almost of 2010 in terms of the "solid" feel, but has areas of excitement to bring out the nostalgia goggles of PES5.

With that said, the only similarity of PES 15 that I can see is the defensive line over-marking and following attackers into the box. This is why it's so important, as evidence of my stream last night, to have the Tactics of "Numbers in Attack/Defense" to Few for both User and CPU. Completely changed my experience.

Tried to play an online friendly twice this morning but got disconnected every time :II

will give it another go later, but my experience with online play has never been very good with PES

Agreed, as does my friend. He has been playing countless hours of 2015 as of late and got his first crack at 2016 last night. His response, "This is the best football game I've played in years." And yeah, it has some niggles and issues I'd like to see fixed to truly elevate its status, but I tend to agree with him. I've been having a lot of fun with it! Most fun I've had with PES in a really long time.

Oh, I'll have to try the tactics change. Thank you.
