PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

Graphics are really poor imo. Unacceptable for 2015. Played a match in the rain and a player slipped about every 20 seconds.
If anyone is experiencing input lag try disabling v-sync in your GPU Control Panel.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

I was totally addicted to 2013 - played it every day, but rapidly fell out of love with 2014/2015. Great outfield play, but tedious in the final third.

So I was heartened to see some of the positive comments, especially in the gameplay department (collisions, hopefully less frustrating). So much so that I just bought a copy on CDkeys. I'm a sucker for punishment.

You order off their site then they send you a steam code. I've bought several games off there and I've never had an issue.
Cheers man, this site is a godsend they are selling every game at half price. Even the new ones like battlefront

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

So played a few games now and these are my impressions:

- Graphics are fine! Not the best, but they will certainly do, the Polish video didn't do the game justice

- Loads of new animations that make the game look better!

- Gameplay is more fluid, but sometimes too fluid, when a pass is played in a perfect straight line over half the pitch it resembles hockey (with rain on, it feels more like football as the rain slows down the ball)

- Game play is more physical, bigger players can out-muscle and push away smaller players

- Finally you can score with headers again! In PES 2015 I hardly ever scored goals through headers, but now it is much easier (but perhaps too easy? I managed to score a header with Messi)

- The AI manage to score goals through free kicks again! I hardly ever conceded a goal to the AI through a free kick in PES 2015, but now it happened almost instantly

- The squads are hopelessly outdated! Hopefully a datapack or modders will fix this asap.

- Overall - the game is an improvement over PES 2015 and well worth the $30 I bought it for.

ai also presses really aggressively on top player, making fouls, dunno what was the complaint about in the review, or maybe the pc version is totally different regarding that.
also ai crosses the ball sometimes, which was a rarity in pes 2015

These are the things I wanted to hear. ;)

By the way, @everyone that already played... Is awareness (as in "there's a ball right in front of me but I'll just pretend it's not there" ) still a problem?

to a certain degree - but much less than in PES 2015 (that's at least my immediate impression)

anyone who has input lag, try to change the controller setting to directinput from xinput in the settings.exe

@yair other than that Adam was right, in one of the podcasts he doesnt understand what people want from shooting, they wanted PES 5, they got it, it was an easy to score, always strong big shooting footy, now PES 16 is the same. PES 6 was where there was harder to shoot

The dream comes true , long range passes finally feels like longa range passes , the first touch also is great , I'm satisfied with the purchase , excluding the graphics which are not bad . Light a candle for my steam skins tho :D

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

The "reviews" on Steam are comical, nothing but whining about graphics and the fact it's not the PS4 version. I came across one actual gameplay review in the first five minutes of scrolling thru that tripe. Thought I clicked on a FIFA forum. Steam needs to do a better job of blocking troll reviews.

for input lag i have for my specs (hd7870,i5,12gb,aoc ips 5ms hdmi) found that solution in pes 2015, today i try on pes 2016

radeon tool , leave vsync in optimization

and i use dxtory to set framerate on 61, ( framerate are individual for each sistem, some work good whit 58/59 fps, for other 61/62fps

try if you want

Great... now have the defensive tactics been fixed, they were entirely broken in PES 2015, could not bring User team defenders back far enough or in from the sides. If all that's still broken I won't buy the game this year, period.

I dare not try to answer your question, but I'd say that the AI in general defends better in PES 2016

They used PS4 screens to promote the game so this reaction shouldn't be entirely unexpected.

A question for those playing: are fouls almost entirely absent? That was a game-breaker last year.

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

Yes, seems they really wanted to make the ps4 ver "special". Too bad, I finally learned how to make kits, now it's all gone to waste :II

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

Err, in PS4 the kit option is like 'paste image'? Because in PC that option exists.

Fouls are indeed present. Don't worry

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

For ps4 there's 'Import Images' which allows to import kit textures for all the kits for a team at once. That's not in the PC game as far as I can see

Re: PES2016 - PC Version Discussion Thread [ASIM/BHATTI TALK = NOT PC RELATED]

Initial impressions after just 5 games:

- I'm unable to open the settings.exe or go to full screen. Anyone else experiencing this?
- The graphics as-is are horrible, but I think mine are set on low quality. I should be able to change this if only I could open the settings.exe.
EDIT: Managed to open it, change resolution and it looks absolutely fine now.

- Controls do feel much snappier, and the animations (especially when turning) don't look as awkward as before.
- It's more physical, yet without the tedious stumbling of last 2 years.
- I've made some divine long-range passes, and the defence seems up-for it.

-Nice to see a change of commentator from John Champion, but we are still lumbered with the super-inane Jim Beglin.

-Strategy and tactics look quite interesting.

-I like the way the crowd seems to follow the action better. For example I was tackled outside the box to a huge cheer from the home supporters. Brought a big smile. Definitely helps the overall atmosphere.

-The ref seems much more forgiving and sensible.

I want to keep playing, and I have a good feeling about it, but let's see how I feel by next week.

Shouldn't be that last option? (Spanish time :>)
