They were able to look into an older version which had more teams available, but was not up-to-date;)

Yeah i know mate... until we see some gameplay videos all opinions will be subjective.
While the gfx changes are most welcomed, PES became popular for its gameplay so its just matter we get some videos first and of course, a public demo. :THINK:


Talking about WENB, i dont think Adam nor Suff are biased really. Its their opinion and wether you trust them or not it's on each reader desition.

But thinking they are trying to turn things to Konami's side is BS.

I agree.

it will just bring discord, bitterness, anger etc to all of us when it will not be reflective of the final build.

Lets see the gameplay finished with the last 10% needed to improve graphics and then make a judgement, but for now it looks like it is moving in the direction we want, just a tad slower than we expected.

Do you really believe that these animations will change the look of the game drastically? Come on ... GamesCom is next month they are already working on a demo - its not gonna be a drastic change from 2009 lets face it.

I'm sick of all this "Early Build" bullshit they give us every year.

It will be the same as it is now but with more teams.

Oh my god, the sandbags are really the only thing from which you people judge if the game is going to be good or bad?:APPLAUD: At some points PES has stupid AI, stupid GK, horrible online, but the only thing you care about are sandbags and untucked shirts... You're acting so FIFAish:LOL:

I agree. I will wait until a more complete build is shown at Gamescom so that I can make a better judgement, but I will stand by my opinion that Konami really should be showing more than a 50% build with only three months until release, given the supposed lengthier development time.

By the way sorry to hear you were banned by WENB. I read your so called contentious posts and I agreed with what you said. I don't think their exclusive on the 15th is much of a big deal now that PSM has given us a big insight into the game at 50% ready. Certainly not deserving of a ban but their loss. WENB is a great news resource and I appreciate what they do but I'm not that interested in Adam and Suff's opinion, just the facts they provide. Too many people on their forums say they are only interested in their opinions, which is ill-advised based on the last two years.

I don't trust the WENB guys that's for sure. They're biased. They were way off re the last two PES versions. Both were crap.

You guys are like a beaten wife, getting promised by the hubby that he will change for the better etc, and you always believe him, until the next time that is when the same thing happens again.

I tend to agree about WENB. They only seem to allow people who blindly follow their opinions to post on their blog. I think that there is more to it than pure excitement/bias that put them off in the past two years, especially 2009. I still remember Suffs first video impression about PES 09 where he said the word smooth around 1 million times and how pleased he was with the game. They recently wanted credit for the PES 09 sales which I think really shows how non-objective their blog is. I just log on to their site for the confirmed news. Rumours and opinions I take with a pinch of salt. I know one of their sheep or aliases will scold me for posting this. I don't care, whatever.

The 10% you speak of probably includes the mo-cap animation work, which everybody expects to be top notch this year. That means every single animation will have to be believable and realistic enough to give the game its next-gen feel. PES has to deliver- the fans know it, and a good number of people have been clamoring for this cosmetic change for two years now; FIFA 08 and 09 was a step in the right direction with the animations, and FIFA 10 is going to have even more animations than FIFA 09 did with the new close control and 360 dribbling.

TBH I can sort of understand how pissed off Adam must get with peeps like me questioning and pushing all the time, but it is a forum and it is open for mature debate. I think I caught him on a bad day and maybe I could have tried to get my point across in better way.......I dunno, no harm done.

I certainly do not beleive that PES will be the same with a few new animations this year. I think the mocap will be a welcome addition that will give it a more realistic and fluid look but I am not getting too hung up on a preview build at 50%. I'd be interested to know the exact date they played it to give us a better indication of how much dev time is left.

hi guys im new here, have been reading for a while and today decided to sign up, im a big pro evo fan from australia and really hope this years edition goes back to what made us all fall in love with the game in the first place

im hoping PES will blow awya fifa10 in terms of gameplay so i can start playing footy games on my pc again with the mods etc.

im hoping it will also have a 10v10 BAP kind of mode where you can create your own player and use it online.

The overall rating like fifa is really silly. I always hated that in fifa...it just makes no sense...u can't really compare bananas and apples...plus it is not user friendly, it just makes choosing players so damn trivial.

I like them all but my favourite is the Position Switch Frequency.

In PES6 I played with Spain a lot and I had Silva play from the right and Iniesta from the left. They constantly swapped positions and it worked very well. That was done using the swap positions (L2 strategy), it caused havoc for my opponents.

Determines how frequently players will swap positions to create space, but at the expense of losing the shape and leaving gaps.

Sounds like a more complete version of the swap wings strategy, I wonder if I can tell Silva and Iniesta to swap positions every ten minutes for example.

one thing i like about PES is that the tactics are more in-depth then fifa's one plus as Tobi pointed out, you can change your whole entire formation and tactics with a simple button while playing the game. no need to pause and change formations like fifa.
