Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I want to be sincere.
This preview has been a little underwhelming
We are speaking alot about revolution, it's a great year for Pes, ok. But then?

Same wide camera graphics, same animations, same commentary.
I really don't know what excited Suff, bah :FAIL:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I dont know why, but this is the first time I feel optimist.
Probably i am wrong but well, its nice after so many years to finally be optimistic again about my fav game series :))

Based on what I have seen so far I don't think this year will be the revolution that was on the 'three years to develop for new consoles' script. More like another evolution. Which is a bit disappointing, but as I said I'm happy with the info, but I was expecting to be blown away if I'm honest.

thats what i mean,
small middle class teams from european leagues;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Really like the On/Off Cards thing. That's strategy specific to each player. I think that's a brilliant idea. It is almost the same as the offence/defence arrows we had before but with even more options and easier to use.

Yep, like that too. Another nice thing is that you seem to be able to customize ( stretch ) the zone players are in. See page 10 on the right top.
If that is true, you can fine tune the organization of the defence, which is great.

Hopefully they will improve the through-pass as well, as that has some erratic behaviour at times, passing a ball in the opposite direction than intended.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

True.

Anyone read how different boots may affect gameplay?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

So the Masterleague hasn't been touched again from what we have heard so far.

They changed from points to currency yeah it was needed but its just like currency conversion that's all.

ECL and Uefa cups were always in the game before just under Unlicensed name if your game wasn't patched.

BAP players added to Masterleague easily done in edit mode by yourself.

There has to be more news on the Masterleague still waiting for Manager Movement.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Read the article now

likes:
- more tactical build up required
- cant take on more than 3 players with the likes of Messi
- need to slow down to beat a player
- German league is back
- 3d crowds
- untucked shirts
- player individuality enhanced
- no more cheap lofted through balls with any player on the pitch
- slower game speed compared to PES 2009
- screamer shots are back but mostly with the long range shooters
- keepers do not spill as much
- no more pauses after FKs
- no more automatic slides or passes
- tactical sliders, man marking and team positioning
- new PK system
- a players abilities differs from one position to another
- ML uses real currency
- no visible load times
- BAL can be used in ML

dislikes:
- no mo-cap yet
- graphic enhancements not as visible on wide cam
- looped header is considered a big improvement
- too many early build excuses

undecided:
- skills on d-pad
- online game is not tested

All in all there's alot to be hyped about.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Manager movement is critical for me.

There is this line in the article that got me excited though and wonder if it means what I hope it means...

"A more realistic contract system"

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

the big question is...
Is the auto side step still there.
imo all pro evo with auto-side step are worse off.
its strange that they decided it include it in every other PES.
PES4 has it, PES5 didnt hav it, PES6 has it, 2008 didnt hav it, 2009 has it, 2010 ????

Thought PES5 has it and not 6?

I read that and did not understand at all.

I dont get how these mags get the game and not mention things like FKs, corners or throw ins are or how many different animations there are or if there is manual passing.

I usually dont share your pessimistic point of view, but I have to say that I am 100% with you on this opinion. Things sound good, but not good enough.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Even evolution is a big word, an updated version of the previous installment would be more appropriate. You weren't expecting anything else did you? If so you were fooled once again. :SNACK: :BOP:

Look at those animations, hideous!

im going the take the only good thing out of it... and thats the player faces
pes2010faces.jpg

"Players expressions aren't currently as varied as we'd hoped, but they do react to in-game situations with scowls, gritted teeth etc - but it's similar to PES 2009"

Doesn't sound good to me.

What animations surely you not seeing animations from a scan. And those faces look fantastic.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

PSM3 have mentioned that animations are yet to be fully implemented. We'll have to wait until that is done to judge animations imo.

That is correct. PES5 has auto sidestepping, PES4 and 6 do not.

If they keep the tricks on the d-pad, I will be very disappointed. It was incredibly clunky in PES2009, and if you try to do a marseille roulette and fail your player will undoubtedly change direction to wherever your stick might be pointing if you fail to do a complete revolution.'
Give us a trickstick already, keep some basic badyfeints on the analog stick, IE the drop shoulder and 2-foot feint, but anything else needs their own control.
