Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'm slightly perturbed by the part in the video above where it is mentioned that Messi will be the only superstar that will be doing the mo cap bit ''this year''

I want the movement and animations improved this year.

I mean if you boot up FIFA you immediately see what beauty proper animations and movement do to a footy game.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

The proof will be in the pudding Suzuki. My concern is the "more realistic look and sweat!" FFS AI FIX, DEFENSE FIX if done then Suzuki is now GOD.

But i hope Seabass is licking his wounds as a low ranking programming clerk now.

You could have saved your job Seabass had you listened to fans!!

And you see that lack of space, lack of timing and laggy controls make it a poor excuse for a football simulation. Which is a shame because they got a few things right.

PES with smooth animations, not so many jerky motions and improved keepers/shots/flick passes would be fantastic, hopefully Konami see it that way too.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I played it to death, played it untill I started cursing Allah and Krishna and Vishnu and Xenu and Jesus!

EA have not understood football yet, give them time.

Me too. Does it sound like "no proper GK animations yet" to you, too?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think all animations will be on par this time around

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

How weird would it be if all of the running styles looked like Messi?

I assume they'll be mocapping other athletes (maybe not famous ones) to get other running styles right. Hopefully.

They are.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yeah, I am.
Although I have not seen this in motion, all the things I heard sound very promising. Come next Thursday all will be revealed.

Suzuki is the new man in town and he's walking around with the confidence of a wild west gunslinger.
Seabass now shines shoes for a dollar and drinks whiskey in the saloon.
Suzuki better clean up the town well though because Greyhound is just waiting for a chance to be the new hero.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

How many mo-cap stars/athletes did EA use for Fifa09? I have a feeling it wasn't many and look how stunning the results were.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Good to hear Seabass is no longer taking center stage in the dev team. He must be punished.

Nah... not him, but the entire Konami management.
He was the messenger and we are not that primitive to shoot the messenger, do we? ;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Poor Seabass. Tbh it is Konami to blame more than anything. Now that Seabass has more time and resources to work on PES 2010 then I guess this is the real test.

Agree fully. New hardware, multiplatform and a lack of staff has been tough on Seabass. He is still the father of the best footy game out there.

It’s that time of the month again, when we start getting news from the magazines that haven’t quite made it to store shelves.

The latest Official PlayStation Magazine is due to hit July 7th, some of the information in it that will get the community excited is:

- Option to give players untucked shirts is back

- Mo Cap session by Messi means a wealth of new animations incorporated

- Master League: Champions League and Europa League intergration and real currency

For the rest of the info make sure you grab the issue!

OPM also mention they’ll have a detailed hands-on August 4th, it’s going to be quite a month ;)

untucked shirts again? that should shut you up, now maybe on these forums you can talk about proper aspects of the game.
