PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

the beauty of pes has always been its response times, even if it didnt have the teams or licences or online modes. you could always count on the second you pressed a button to shoot, pass or do a skill move the player you were controlling would instantly respond,if theyve taken that element from the gameplay i cant see myself wanting to play it

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Bah, Pes5 was also slow and unresponsive for some people... as it has been said before, i expect the player to make all the animation when i press X rather than a jerky move to make an inmediate pass.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

He also said i saw PES and it looks sh*t so sounds like he deos not like PES so do not listen to him.

Wait to see what the press and other sites say instead the word of one bloke,

Also it looks like he was a games event last week before the latest code was out so he might of played the older code

Judging by his other posts, he sounds like a bit of a idiot anyway. There's no justification for anything, just a mindless drubbing. Why do games companies let people like him have access to games early?

I agree with you.I don't care anybody's opinion. But this unresponsive thing is annoying me.who played pes 2010,talking about unresponsive thing .:BORED:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

from Mr A

To re-post (after checking out his twitter page) it seems our friend was the event I was at for the past few days. Most likely I demoed Assassins 2 to him!

PES at the event was same 4 team Gamescom demo, with only 4 pods of 360 version there. FIFA 10 at the event was finished code.

That solves that mystery.

If PES5 was a new a game and I was a game tester I would've definitely said it has response time issues. Compare it to WE 10 or PES6 and it does feel slow. I think its down to getting used to it.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Has anyone got a link to a video with good quality sound? I want to hear what the chants are like and whether Konami have done anything about the sound of the ball being kicked.

Edit: And has PES 10 got the 'International Challenge' World Cup + Qualifiers mode from PES 6 back? That was the best mode in any football game I've ever played. Also, with BaL, can you still put your own face into the game?

nah chants are the same aswell as the ball sound, check out the riot leaked video and turn the sound up as much as you can an you can hear it all, that whistle noise is still ther, someone who has played a higher code say they have improved alot so we will have to wait an see, they dont mind me that much cause i focus on the ball way to much anyway but i suppose it will add to realism having real sound.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

About the unresponsiveness:

You need to think about a few things when considering someone's opinion:

1. Their PES experience: have they played the old PES on PS1, what they thought of the seemingly unresponsive at first, sublime later gameplay back then.

2. Their football knowledge: Do they know football? Do they understand that players cannot pass with the stabilising foot when running, do they attemps idiotic passes (u can see a fair few in nearly every video, just unrealistic attempt to play the ball).

3. The time spent playing the demo

4. Their FIFA experience, maybe a FIFA player from way back that gives PES the causual runabout for a short time.

We know nothing of him. Besides, you can see dozens of first touch passes, backheels, flicks, shots from all the vids. I think it will not be an issue.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

just play become a legend until news comes, I played it after a long time and am really enjoying it.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

At the moment, I just want to play the demo so I, myself, can judge the responsiveness and game play. I think we have heard the same comment too many times and we don't have the right to attack or defend that comment based on our zero experience of the new PES.

Sorry for bad english. Cheers.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

You do all know what's going to happen, right?

The demo will become available and there will be a huge discussion about what build percentage it is. :))

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I hope, demo will not be same gamescon demo.Previous years, demo was same at gamescon build or TGS build???

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

hi guys, it has been a while, i stayed in touch with the pes 2010 videos (it looks good but not that much of difference)

my question: Is there any news on the online part of the game??

(also i checked out the fifa demo hoping it would impress me but it didn't, its not a bad game (slightly better responsive than the last version, but if im going to the other side after 10+ years i must be convinced by me (after playing it) to do it...)

You should not make bias comments like that u should be open minded firstly how long have u played the fifa10 demo and secondly this is not the forum to discuss fifa 10 this is pes 2010 forum . After i've played pes 2010 demo then and only then i will make my judgement and recommence posting . ps to me a demo only gives a little insight it's more like a teaser it is always better to compare both from the final version . So until the 23rd or 24th or thereafter LATERS MATES

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

whatever the demo is
i care about the final game
Seabass siad that gamesocm demo was one month older which means that it belongs to July !
so i dn think that Konami too stupid to give us a 3 months old game while they've (already)implemented 90% of the game
i am not worry about that

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I really couldnt give a flying fuck to be honest Zee. If I like the like game, and appreciate the concept as far as I'm concerned, I dont value the opinion of anyone else, it means jack shit to me. Same goes for these so called reviewers. Most of these geeks have probably never kicked a ball in their life.

I have been reading and reviewing ur comments for some time now and this particular one solidifies my opinion of you . What's the point of having discussions in a forum if there is no constructive criticism for a game to improve there must be debate and feedback . One must not be self opiniated, unbiased and one must pull the wool from one's eye like i said in an earlier post Quote '' the problem isn't with Konami probably it's the feedback that is generated by individual(s) like yourself who never truly criticise and highlight the flaws so the developers can improve and implement whatever were discussed in the forums. Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think this response time delay is due to konami's attempt in making the game more sim like. In other words, I don't think response times are an issue at all, it's just that players are pressing the pass button and expecting they're command to react like past PES games with pin ball effect and 100 percent accuracy. I think that once mastered, the response times won't be an issue at all. This might require a little patience though, and learning how to position your player for a quick more responsive pass as it is in real life.

I mean seriously, in real life you have inertia and other little factors that can delay a pass. A player sometimes has to stop the ball, turn, point with accuracy and then pass. Other times a player who is waiting for a pass standing(if pass is played directly to his feet) will pass the ball with pin-point accuracy and responsiveness with no delay.

This ofcourse is my attempt at explaining this "response time issues" and excusing konami of any wrong doing if any.

i don't think if the response time is not responsive as always that's not mean a bad thing..just like jflores said above, once you mastered it the response time will not be a problem at all..

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

i'm a big "fan" of response-times. i played the gamescom-demo and the game is really fluid. players accelerate very well and the run feels very, very fluid. wysiwyg is in the game.

Ha ha ha your joking right !!!!

So its our fault the last 2 games have gone backwards, because we haven't been constructive with our feedback. . . . right now I understand, we will have to do more, all of us, you hear this!, its just not good enough, lol.

Oh and about giving feedback, how would you do that, because Konami probably have the worst communication set-up in the games world, there certainly not EA in that regards.

As an example, any news from Konami about when the demo's coming out, what build will it be, hows the latest build shaping up, etc etc
. . . . . exactly!!!!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

The big news likely to be released on wenb is that some random guy at a game was wearing a t-shirt with a pes2010 logo, and then a 1000 of their keen suscribers will be masturbating with anticipation until a screen of that is released...I'm just over this waiting...they have to start the whole game from scratch thats the only way

I think you are few light years off reality there old chap.

Firstly Jimmy likes PES, he never said that people should not have an opinion or debate, he was talking from his point of view and that he will enjoy it even though so many may not.

Secondly, konami have only just started listening to feedback, hence changes this year, just check out PESFAN for all the requests over the past 10 years and name me 5 things that Konami implemented from those thousands of votes (ask Chris Davies about letters to Konami that were not even acknowledged)

Thirdly, we very rarely see constructive feedback, it's usually one off comments about how crap it is which irates people.

PES this year will be a good game, not amazing but no doubt highly enjoyable and that is what is my primary concern in any game. Foot planting, incredible animations etc, etc carry no weight if it's just not fun and one thing PES has always been is fun, especially with your mates.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Hi there,

I've read a lot of pages but there is a thing that is not clear to me yet.
Some of you have seen the famous recent german demo.
I don't get if what you have seen is good or not.

Watching the videos, I'd say it seems good enough, expecially if I compare those videos to the awful PES 2008 and the average PES 2009.

I'm still waiting for a new generation PES. In the meantime I'm still having fun with the glorious PS2 version.

Moreover, what I've seen playing Fifa 10 demo seems really nice (and I hate that brand). Animations and controls (when you master it a little bit) seems deeper than the flipper effect of PES.

I don't know if I really can move to Fifa, but I'd go for it (and for the PS2 version) if PES 2010 is going to be the same old shit.

I tought that you people that played the german demo would say it was at least good enough but it doens't look like that.

Please explain to me what you've seen (that you didn't like) at the Convention. Thanks.
