Have fun! :D

Seriously I don't understand these sreens because i see a lot of new nice animations but when i look on video animations looks crap, ugly and very similar to Pes 2009.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Hello there! I just want to say that the pressrelease that you all saw last monday was done the week before that. The demo that was at GamesCom was at least and probably more than a month old. I will play the game again on monday, if it is the second or third beta is not sure.

I'm going to check the swedish language translation for errors. Any questions?

Caniggia, First off thank you for answering my ML question on your blog :))

ML seems to be much improved and interesting now. I have a question though, can you ask or check if we can change clubs in ML? For example after a few seasons in my contract expires and would like to move to another club or the board want me off the job because I haven't met their expectations.

Thanks

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

If pace and animations will be fixed, then PES 2010 will be great, great, GREAT. Next year they can add the FIFA presentation "touches" to it, like better cameras, animated crowds, menus, set-piece editors, more animations for turns and twists, TV scoreboards, TV replays, better and more celebrations, better ball and net (football kingdom did it years ago) physics...etc.

Finally PES is back...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

These screens Lami come from Gamescom(probably old build) and I see a lot nice animations. The video come from Gamescom too and i see crap, ugly and similar animations to Pes 2009.Do You understand what I mean? I'm confused.

Oh yes got you now. I also saw one video which really impressed me, the shaky cam one. Then I saw the 60fps video which I thought looked so much like 2009. I don't know what to make of this tbh but I'm trusting the guys who played the later build and said its different and better. I'm hoping the demo isn't the gamescom version.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yeah that is true. If they can fix these animations which many people (PESFAN, Seabass, WENB, Caniggia) have all alluded too, slow down the pace, fine tune the ball physics and sort the online out then there will be a very solid foundation upon which the series can continue. Like you said they can focus on other areas where the game is lacking e.g. presentation, atmosphere etc. But in all honesty this should have been ready for PES 2008 not PES 2010 in my opinion.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Translated off Caniggia's Blog:

Here are some from my three day stay in Cologne.

This neat, it looks (see picture above) when Konami PES 2010 builds a stadium. In the demo of the game at the fair was Liverpool and Barca (and Germany and France) to play with and Zlatan was with. This was, unfortunately, as an older version (although a sign with 80%) than the one I played the 11th August (70% -75%). This was confirmed by John Murphy and he also said that a lot of animations will be added before the final version. The reason why GamesCom version seems to be older is that demos are sent to the fair in July month (anecdotal evidence)

We also had a long talk about the online version of PES. The technical equipment has been replaced for 2010. The old online system is as I said from PES6, but with some improvements. For example, it will be lagg free of people who meet live near each other. The servers will then go in and take lagget (can be any tenth lars delay) if you meet people from far far away. It sounds quite a lot of competitor systems. I would first see this with my own eyes.

The talking stopped, however, not here but I went on to commend John for how much fun I thought it was that Konami finally listened to the fans. We talked about how important it was to offline tournaments there. In PES, it is culture and tradition for many to meet and to participate in an offline tournament is not just to play. It is also to meet people with same interest and to discuss the game and football. There is a large portion nice humanity in our PES community, which is best, and Konami will continue to bet on.

It was really nice to talk to John now (last time we met, he must be really sad as it was before the release of PES 2008. Yuck Yuck).

Others who I had a chat with me was, Seabass, and the head of the German office. I will return to these talks tomorrow. Moreover, Finland's perhaps the greatest face in the PES community to give its image of PES 2010.

Do not miss it, but back again tomorrow!

So Konami have said the Gamescom build is 80% but their lying as its actually older than the 75% build.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I asked yesterday but I really didn't get an answer; will PES 2010 have manual passing? if so how will it be implemented?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

PES 2010 does feature manual passing as did most other preceding versions. Its performed by moving the right analog stick in the desired direction with a power bar to determine the length of the pass. In my opinion its not bad but it would be far better if you could perform it on the regular pass button.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Fantastic details:BOP:
m3wgusfu.jpg

Oh yeah... it looks like those CGI movies in old PES game intros :APPLAUD:, except for the jersey physics of course. But brilliant job Konami on the lighting...

Still plenty of room for graphical improvement though, I mean look at the crowds in games like NBA 2K9....
e.g.
YouTube - NBA 2K9 gameplay video Heat vs Blazers

Please vote guys... only suggestions with +100 votes will get sent to KONAMI...

^..Oh, that seems pretty out-dated...still having manual on the right stick. Konami seems like they'll be playing catch-up for another two years (this years version, by the videos, reminds me of FIFA 07).

That video of 2K's NBA reminded me of another debate; I think it would be good for a company like 2K to come out with a football simulation.

Thanks for the info you are giving us Caniggia, I really trust in your words because in the past years you have been very critical (completely spot on) with the game and now you seem to be optimistic about it. That is more than enough for me. We need objective opinions, not fanboyism. Thanks again!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

looks very nice for me :D thanks for the pics

the nets look more tight now :D :APPLAUD:
also the turf looks nice, and all other details

Yes the nets are looking very nice here! Still no news about the net editor. I have a feeling it's in. You remember the blue/red nets from the development vid?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

whats all that crap about a goal/net editor? usually most people on here want a "realistic simulation" so who needs blue or red nets?

i dont know what to think about the gamescom videos, if there really is "new" build id like to see videos from these and then judge it. also i doubt that they might add that much animations, im not really into developing stuff but isnt that a lot of work and usually on of the first things you should add to a sports game?
release is just 2 months away ...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Ok guys, so we have 2 months 'till release. What do you think 200 people can do for this time?
Well, they have to make so much players on so much teams, it can really take time. Along with their "sliders" strategies, kits, etc. It can take a lot of time, even for 200 people. Also, it takes time to make DVD copies and distribute them around the world.

But still, they have much time for improvements. For instance, will they implement the mo-cap animations? I hope so! Will 360 driblling really show (not like in GC when you can hardly notice anything). Will online be stable? Will it have more then 2v2? What about a set piece creator - is only FIFA 10 going to have that? Will the crowd make some Mexican waves?
If all I mentioned is looked at, PES 2010 will be a great game. But no one still knows.

Hey, what about getting Champions' road from wii to the other versions for 2011?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

but look at nba2k9 those are f* good animated clothes...

NBA 2K9 is dead-on TV life-like presentation... and that's not comparing to PES2010:

Vote for the crowds and cameras on the links below... if they pass +100, they'll be sent to KONAMI...
