Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

y dont konami make a decent scoreboard like fifa im sure in pes4 that made scoreboards

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

OK,thanks dude.:SMUG:

Beats me. Fortunately as a PC gamer I could get it from the community, but I shouldn't when I'm paying for a UEFA license.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Saw this on PESfan:

"A good journalist friend of mine has tryed a more recent build of pes2010 and has confirmed to me it has a lot more newer animations but is glitchy and explained this is the reason konami are showing a older build with more of pes09s animations as currently its more stable then the newer code.

He also added the newer build is frightenly realistic and makes the game look much more fluid and that the build at gamescom looks completely different"

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Any word on a proper table format; the PES competition league tables are really poor and unconventional.

Caniggia wrote at WENB :

'' I had the pleasure to meet your top man Gari at the convention and we talked about the game. I can confirm that this version is not the same as the 75% version I played on the 11th. The version from the 11th has more glitches, which to me means that there are more animations to be put in. I think that this gamescom version has animations that are and look PES 2009 simply because they didn t want to have glitches.
I can not confirm anything about changed running animations though. We'll just see what happens.

I will be playing the game again monday. I will try to answer some more questions then.

Over and out! ''

Best thing I read in weeks. Thanks.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Gawd, I h8 this new build, old build talk, sure I'm happy if there's a new build that's better than the ones we're seeing at gamescom, but it only increases the expectations that the newer build will be miles better than this, when that probably won't be the case.

All in all, I'm content with what we've seen from gamescom, and if there is indeed a newer version with new animations put in, slower pace etc, it'll be an added bonus. :D

Putting the main things into context found this on ga.......

Top 5 PES Improvements

In the past week I’ve seen PES make some serious strides at going back to its simulation roots, and here I’ll take a look at my top 5 favourite new additions in PES2010, as well as a few old friends set to return.

5. Increased Control.

360-degree control is set to feature on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD versions of PES2010 using the analogue sticks on their controllers. Playstation 3 owners will also be take advantage of the PS3’s sensitive d-pad, but movement can still either be controlled via analogue or d-pad on all formats. Invisible walls surrounding a throw-in are now gone, and auto-slides/clearances seem to have vanished.

Manual keeper has also returned. Hurrah!

4. Card and Team Style systems.

Special ability cards that can either be turned on or off make for more realistically tuned player AI, such as Super-Sub or Penalty Saver. Fully adjustable Team Style sliders such as Compactness and Player Support let you fine-tune your team to a playing style that suits you and your players. From personal use, I can say that they definitely had the effect of changing my experiences, even though I wasn’t delving too deeply into the systems every match I played, but it’s great to have the option.

3. Presentation.

A lot of player faces now look spookily lifelike, menus are better, more licensed teams, fans cheer the home side and hassle the away side, the new animations that are present are looking good (especially the 90-degree turns and injuries), the lighting effects are great, commentary seems more representative of the action, overall probably the best presented PES to date.

2. Master League overhaul.

The mode now features scouts, club doctors, physical trainers, coaches, youth teams, fan clubs, integrated European tournaments, more realistic fixture generation, an 18-team D2 League, real currencies, the ability to skip games, team sponsors, personalised training, club-specific budgets and more. Master League really seems to be shaping up to be something special in this year’s instalment, and is genuinely much more fun and engaging.

1. The Playability.

Plays at a slower pace than PES2009 and therefore, in my mind, is immediately better. The game also requires me to pass the ball instead of just weaving in and out of the entire opposition team with ease. Team AI has increased, keepers cover angles better, midfielders and defenders work together in an effort to block out space. In short, it’s just a huge improvement as far as next-gen goes and I can’t wait to see the finished article.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

the barcelona vs germany game is pretty awful, in the 1st half, the barcelona ai doesn't seem defending in zonal marking, and the goal from AI is very awful :BLEH: it happened because the german who first clear the ball fell down due to body contact with ibra.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Does anyone know if we are able to add 18 created teams to the ML D2? I think I read this somewhere but can't remeber if it was rumoured or confirmed.

The ML overhaul sounds great, I love the management details they have added, all they need to do now is add one or two more leauges and allow us to pick how many teams compete in each leauge, then it would be awesome.

,while some of you get excited with the last paragraph, I'm rather worried with the 1st paragraph

glitchy? in what way? will they fix that? there is no way they would redo the animations at this stage, I hope they can somehow fix them. :WORSHIP:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

is auto sidestep and that 90 degree turn in 2010. please tell me its NOT (or at least its not done automatically by accident)
i see it in some vids.

Glitchy because that's how the game looks when they are on the dev pc's back at the headquarters, most of the time. It's a work in progress, glitches are normal.

Auto sidestep? Like what? Tricks are now made with combination of R2+Left Stick, although I read some seem to be R2+Right Stick too.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Translation:

I am overjoyed by your confirmacion regarding the Net-editor being in the game. This has caused me much enthusiasm. Thank you for the confirmation. This will include an edit of the nets and styles of goal posts correct?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

care to explain and/or give example for how nets can make a big effect and difference? :P

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

If its included, surely it must be a good thing, doesn't matter whether it'll make a big difference or not. Whatever useful feature KONAMI decides to put in, I'll take. Just hope they won't take it out in future editions.

Please don't do this to me. Surely these sites with the early builds and other inside info must worry about their credibility.
I think we were better off back in the stone age when a game was released and you bought it on one or two magazine articles. I'm also making the Seabass video my last one. The next time I see it must be on my PS3 and 32" LCD in HD baby!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

13) Is the referee chosable?
No, same as in PES 2009.

Bah, was hoping that wasn't the case. I am a very dirty player :D

Obviously they don't affect the gameplay at all but its all about the satisfaction of scoring your goal and see it ripple in the back of the net. The more lifelike the nets are, the more satisfaction you can get from scoring a good goal
