Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Hmm the latest videos look decent and quite enjoyable. Even the nets are better and reacting very nicely. Animations are far from perfection but definetely better than 2009.
Only bad thing are the low passes. They look way too fast and not natural.
I'm confused. Don't know what to think about this all. I think I'll just wait for demo and then judge ;)

Yep, i hope the demo will be out soon ;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I have a question... in all videos with penalties, why doesn't the view switch to an easier frontal view of the goal? Why does it remain on wide cam?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

sound is still seemingly awful. Did I hear a constant "liverpool" loop all through that video?? difficult to judge it on those vids but it sounds as bad as 09..

PT any cooment???????????????

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

yeah i would like to know about pens - supposed to be a new system for them?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Yep chants are bad atm...

That means they will be shit in the game..............end of.

They just do not know how to create an authentic crowd noise. This could be a deal breaker for me because the repetitive sound just gets on my nerves so much.

I really do not want to have to turn the sound down when playing as I did with 09..............truly awful, ridiculous ZX Spectrum loops in 2010 is an absolute disgrace.

Shoot the sound engineer.......he's tone deaf:FAIL:

Firstly, you are a legend my friend. :WORSHIP:

Secondly, I aint worried about the chants as the option file patch will give us the full 8 chants per Premier League team and the rest of the big boys of Europe at the very least.

I have a library of over 300 official chants to add at my pleasure. :BOP:

Dont you just love PES editing. :BAND:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

can someone test feint today? will it still cause the opponent to auto slide tackle or stretch to block or something even worse?

Doesnt really matter does it? i thought console users could install their own chants, same goes for us pc users.

I know what you're saying, Jimmy, but we shouldn't have to build the game ourselves. Konami should be putting more effort into the audio because it was truly atrocious in Pes2009. It's not fair on the people who don't patch or use option files, i.e. the more casual gamer, and as Dr Force said it could be a deal-breaker for some, especially with Fifa being so polished in all areas.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

i suggest that everyone that not see the big improvement just go and play one pes2009 game and you can see the big improvement

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Begs the question which build is this then, the same as the rest, some look good some look crap, it's odd...

I guess it's because in this match, the players weren't hogging the sprint button, making the game appear slower and giving them time to play a good passing game.

Very valid point mate, I was probably being a little selfish with that comment in hindsight. But with all the negativity being banded about here, I was trying to turn the chant element into a positive. I expect Xbox 360 owners wont be able to add their own chants again, and that includes me, hence the reason I'll buy a PS3.

The bottom line though mate, is that Konami/EA will never produce the type of quality real life captured chants we can bring into the game ourselves. So even if they were half decent, people like me will always want the best available.

The day EA/Konami bring out 8 official real life chants for each team is the day I'll eat my hat. It isnt going to happen, but I agree they should both try and make them better than they currently are.

Empathize with what youre saying, casual gamers might find it annoying having to do that. But if you knew what lengths i & other modders go to on pc you would have us all commited. For some its a labour of love, but can appreciate not everybody's like that. ;)

I know what you go through. I patched the hell out of Pes5. I think I spent more time messing about with files and burning off discs than actually playing the game.:D

I was just trying to make the point that the audio should be to a good standard to start with. I remember some of the older Pro Evo's like PES2 had some excellent chants for the national teams, so Konami can do it.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Just a couple of quotes from seafish's interview this morning.....

What was the motivation for officially involving the community/fans this time, compared to previous years?

Its been our 3rd year now on next-gen on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and its PES 2010 and we switched the online situation to our previous versions which means we are a little bit more stable now so we thought it was perfect timing to open our ears and listen to our fans finally. We have been in quite a crisis over the last couple of years because we were so busy internally but now we are a little bit more relaxed and with more time on our hands, it was time to listen to the people that matter, the fans. However its very important that this is not a one-off but we will continue to do this.

God damn man 3 years on i wanna hear more than a "little"

Have you and your team ever thought that a PES title every year is too much on next-gen and that by having a game every 2 years, you and your team could address certain issues that need addressing and in turn, you would have more time to work on these issues?

Yes your right especially since we have gone into the next-gen console market. We have loads of things we want to do and ideally bringing out a game every 2 years is something that would help us, however we believe that 1 game per year is the best option as thats something the fans want to see and with the innovation that we have achieved just with PES 2010 alone, i cant see us as a team not making a game every year.

 This translates as "2 mountains of cash is so much better than 1"
