Good video,

Something Ive noticed, and maybe you guys agree, but players & ball seems to be able to pass AI/non controlled players far too close. I don't know what it is, but at times it seems your player can go "through" a defender because he hasn't locked on yet and similar for the ball, it can go by a defenders foot by a couple of cm because he just doesn't seem to react to it. Was this in 09 aswell?

See the animation that when a player gets tackeled from the front he can still magically fall back on his arse.

Hopefully we can get some more good videos with decent players as both games look shite in the wrong hands.

hm, what do you mean exactly? I didn't notice a difference between e.g. PES 6 manual and PES 2009 1/2 assisted.

sorry I made a mistake and probably confuses u, because of PES09 (and perhaps 08 too :RANT:)

back there since the WE2000 in PS (or was it PS2?) I played PES with unassisted mode or in that time it was called manual, and therefore no, old PES manual IS NOT THE SAME AS 1/2 ASSISTED IN LAST 2 PES - I AM SURE OF THIS because I used to play with manual.

that was up until 08/09 in which as I told you, I had to constantly switch players manually in every pass I made in the game

so u know, twice the workload and due to the uncontrollable players this unassisted mode made, I was forced to use 1/2 assisted.

now can u please try the unassisted mode? I hope (badly) they change it back to the way it used to be :WORSHIP:

more quetion (added in my last post, but I will re-post it here)

another thing, in couple of last PES, whenever we use header to pass, team mates are mostly off positioned very annoying :RANT:
how is in 10?

Did not try it sorry. I'm happy with 1/2 assisted and I still think that it is what 'manual' was in older PES games.

About header passes, did not notice off-positioning in partcular there...

Last video is good enough,provided they change running animation and add a lot of new stuff.

Still passing is completely unrealistic.

PES is dead for me. Cannot see any improvement at all, still looks like dancing on ice and clunky to play.

and I'm just telling u FYI here....

in 09 1/2 assisted, other than auto clearance, etc; there is one other downside, which is whenever your opponent use high balls immediately the game will automatically switch your cursor to the nearest player who directly opposes opponent's player who received the high ball

this is not the way it's supposed in old manual style.

there are still a long list of the game's flaws like :

1. the tendency of loose balls are closer to the AI or even in extreme cases unrealistically bouncing toward the AI; OTOH if we who caused the ball to bounce, then the ball will move away from our players ----> this has been like this since old Winning Eleven in playstation.

2. auto very long kick dribble toward the opponent's GK (even more obvious toward AI's GK) even when using players who have perfects dribbling and technique......the ball would ridiculously kicked far ahead from the dribblers and make the GK easily picked the ball away. ----> since PS2 generation.

I'm like 95% sure I won't buy the game but I'm willing to give it a shot for the demo.I just hope that they won't do "oh it's not the latest build for the demo" bullshit again.I just can't understand why some people have supposedly a better version than the one in Germany ? Why would Konami do that ? It's suicidal, they're gonna lose fans with this shit startegy

Good post. The last thing I want is for PES to morph into Fifa. It's still the better game in terms of player individuality and the weighty feel of the gameplay and ball physics and it should continue to play to it's strengths.

I'll be honest being a Dark-sider, the last thing I want Konami to do is produce a clone... :PIRATE:

Stealing features and stuff is fine but it took months to get used to FIFA after years of PES, I'd hate to think playing PES2010 would be like playing a patched FIFA10...

This was the argument Fifa gamers were saying to pro lovers. So many people would say "Fifa just isnt like Pro".

Although it sounds childish, I've found that it is a valid argument.

I played more of Fifa than PES last year and handled the transition quite well. Learning to play the game on it's own merits instead of another version of PES was the bggest hurdle. For me, the main issue with Fifa was that it just wasn't as engaging. It's difficult to explain but I didn't get the same buzz from scoring a goal, it seemed a much more methodical process at times. Similarly, I found the freekick system a bit of an arcadey affair - I goddamn love freekicks so to watch them curve 20ft kind of left me crestfallen.

I've got my fingers crossed that both games iron out their issues. On paper Fifa is obviously the more complete game, but it's missing the gloriously ambiguous 'X-factor' required to win the nation's hearts.

@antraxa: imo tricks are really useless, especially these stuff like in fifa with combintions.
I can tell you the tricks where never pulled of when I not wanted it.
btw, so you think its realistic that any not so good player does a super trick move, just because you can press some buttons correctly??

It's new a video or it's same where Seabass show noob skill on the PES ?

I am extremely disappointed that fients/tricks are on D-pad/left analogue and only designated players will can do it IF the tricks card is ON . It is the logic of Konami the footballers are idiots , they can't make roullet or other simple trick , only somebody can , but why Konami ? And why you still pod stupit tricks on the D-pad when 99 % of fans do not want them there.
Generally shown in Germany proves that Konami do not care what fans want . All that " PESWANTSYOU " is just one PR trick from Konami to return the hardcore fan back to the PES . :FAIL:
