PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Looking at the first video presented I must say I am very impressed. It looks a lot more fluid than past PES. New animations are noticeable but lets hope the running animation is spruced up before release. The ball looks more separated from the players now. I immediately noticed two balls that went into open space where a player had to run on to to get to it. And you can notice the effect of 360 degree dribbling in the France video when the player is moving down the right wing. Overall even though the video quality is not particularly good, im more than happy with what I have seen. I look forward to some better quality videos and the new trailer. I didnt buy PES 2009 and hated 2008. I love FIFA 09 and im definitely getting FIFA 10 but I tell you what, I think im going to go pre-order PES 2010 now too! :)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

honestly I don't know why anybody would like to play other than the default camera or move a bit far 1 - 2 steps?

anyway yeah, I'm very disappointed with Konami after I've seen 'the other game' presentation; EA make Konami looks like some indie amateurish developer that just came from nowhere :(

still I also hate EA because they're one of the most responsible of killing PC gaming, especially now how they treated PC gamers unfairly in FIFA series.......:mad:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

0:23 ---> Slick FIFA-ish pass and run
2:27 ---> Was that 8-directional movement or 360-degree control?

It is impossible to the 360 movement on the ball. Don't concentrate on the player that has the ball. Look at the players that dont have the ball. They move 360 degree.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Even with the not so clever video footage it is clear as day how much more fluid the game looks. I think without even playing the game the response issues look pretty quick. It's very hard to tell unless you have a pad in your hand, but I really like what I see.

Ribery's first touch in the 2nd video looks beautiful, traps it on his left knee and drops it onto his right foot, seamlessly. The CPU defending ai looks much better. The backtracking defender looks unwilling to commit until has more cover which he gets.

The passing looks very slick, it does move a little quick but then you simply cannot judge it realtime without physically being there and playing it.

Regardless of what anyone says, I've hammered PES 2009 and took a very critical eye over these video's and I can see massive differences already. Dont see much 360 movement but the players are definately more free moving at angles.

Please somebody who know's how to play football grab a control pad so we can see more ..........

Well, it has always been 360 degree movement without the ball so I don't really get your point, and it's clearly not 360 with the ball so I don't know what KONAMI is talking about, really.

If you watch the EA presentation on youtube, at 9:11, Rooney is clearly dribbling in 360 degrees with the ball. It's actually pretty fluid.

That's the whole point of 360-degree movement, to move anywhere you want with the ball. Watch the video I can't link to it.

As for the 2:27 moment in PES2010 video, I guess the player was using the keyboard's directional pad... at least I hope so.

Yh sorry about that, dunno what i was on about :BORED:.

Hopefully he was using the d-pad on 360 or something.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

These shakey cam vids have turned me right off the game now. I hate the ISS style gameplay they've decided to stick with instead of the far superior PES style. It's the way the players pass the ball and kind of stop dead and oh it's just all stiff and shit and just not PES anymore.

This has now gone from a day 1 purchase to a 'try the demo first' now.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I dont care about whiping spiders !!!
