PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'll make a few comments regarding what your seeing.

This is a much cut down version of the game with only 6 teams and lots of other features missing, a GC custom demo if you like.

its showing at a pace far faster than the code we have...make of that what you will.

The game we have here looks better than that obviously the hideous shaky cams aren't helping, hopefully we will get a better video soon.

blah blah blah
pls just !! :TTTH:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Don't believe any excuses
This is the game, this is how Pes 2010 will look like

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I don't mind those vid's it's not mind blowing but I don't think anyone said they would be, looks a little fast but with vid's like that you can't tell, and differing screens and ratios the same game can look faster or slower...

exactly. it depends on how you play.
nothing is impossible in pes.
i really like the fluidity of the gameplay...

Once again, KONAMI's PES team PR fails. Why not show the better code, like EA? Why do you always have to make the important last minute touches near the end of the development term?

Phew. It's a bit of a relief, I must say. Gamescom demoes are usually prepared weeks in advance... so one might assume that the code PESfan has is more recent... I sure hope.

With a game FAR SLOWER and better even visuals, I guess we'll all be happy when the game comes out. As for the decade-old scoreboards, I will rely on the modding community to fix that, making the repetitive movements my only gripe. (not comparing to the countless innovations in FIFA10 of course)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I wait for quality movies before I judge the game.
Even than, seeing a game is not the same as feeling how it react when you play it. That's why I said last night that people will be disappointed with what they see.
Especially after the comment from theBoss from PESgaming we need a high quality movie. When you edit a movie, leaving out frames, to get a small format file, you speed up the movie.

Every video I have seen of Pes down the years looks fast. It always feels a bit slower once you get to play the game.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Lighting looks fantastic, but can't really notice much 360 movement? The AI definitely isn't using it, and the user looks like he's using the Dpad if im not mistaken.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I didn't expect PES 2010 to blow me away after playing FIFA 10 last Friday, just in terms of the time put into FIFA and the fact they have pretty much just had to tweak the existing engine to get the best out of the game. PES 2010 has really had to have an overhaul, so after 1 year of development it would be unwise to think it would be that much of a difference from it's previous games.

But.... Those videos show a huge improvement over PES 2009. PES 2010 finally looks like it's breaking into the next gen era in terms of animations, dribbling etc. Still a little concerned about some animations including running and crossing but it at least seems a more fluid/smooth experience. Passes now seem to be in front of players and your teams mates seem to react better when receiving the ball allowing you get on top of the opposition and really move the ball with the passing. This opens up the ability to add style and flair to your play, ala PES 5/6. In PES 2009, I always had the impression you were stuck in the mud and often had to work really hard just to get the play moving and add a bit of momentum. The ball physics look fantastic, particularly crossing and shooting.

I'm optimistic for PES 2010 this year and will be getting it on the PC to put it through it's paces.

That's what I thought. It still looked very much 8-way. If this code is 360 degree enabled and those guys are still using the d-pad then they are idiots.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Alright about the general pace of the game it may be slower come release time but what about the animations ? I still see some robots long passes, controls, runs and they said they implemented motion capture for those.Maybe it's only for a few players but the matches shown are France Vs Germany.
2 teams with decent and super talented players, if the animations looks weird for them for which player do they look nice then ?
Maybe the mo-cap actors are just weird

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

the gfx looks awsome , and the game flows better, but stil no good decent HD quality vid avaible:(
and ppl who are already complaning about the speed of he game....DO NOT JUDGE that from the taped gameplays from camcorder!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Goal celebration of klose is the same as before, the penalty save is the same, and some of the running nothing has changed. But judging it on those flakey vids would'nt do it justice and the human players seemed crap.So until i see a huge improvement it's time to pull the flush on reading anymore on this. You can't polish a turd!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Something that really matters to me:

what cameras and in game?? Can we change camera angle?? Is there an adjustable height/zoom option??

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

All players standing like emotionless robots waiting for free kick execution at 0:02
Static crowds at 1:07

Same PES6 cutscenes all through...

Well... I don't know. But everytime I re-watch EA's Hollywood presentation I feel less excited about PES2010 videos...

EDIT: Thanks for the liveblog link, Antraxa.

Arbeloa still at Liverpool. Suggest a old build?

Suggest lazy attitude from konami.

I think, as someone just suggested, that the entire presentation should be redone, same cutscene are boring, the overall feeling of a statically presented game is still there. Plus there should be the option to make all the changes in the team without actually pausing the game.

What about the crowd?? is is better with more than the usual few slots of repetitive chants??
