and blame EA for not making FIFA PC the same as console, since I believe many PC PES players just don't have any other choice......including me :(

Suicide move from EA....a next gen fifa pc would just kill pes sales....

Still, most popular sport on earth, games selling millions and no other developers other than the usual 2...weird...you would expect tons of titles, there is some money to be made with footie games.

It will be funny if Fifa 2011 still wasn't next gen on the PC. They might as well just cancel development for the game then

Chris, unless Ea have reworked completely how they address the game then footballers like me will never enjoy Fifa in the same way we enjoy PES. Unless Ea try to replicate the individual nature of every player then it will never truely simulate football for me.

It's the players that have to be replicated as close to the real thing before a simulation can even begin to mimic the mechanics and endless variables that the beautiful games incorperates. Making the beautiful game look beautiful, doesnt mean it's simulating it. You need to feel it. Without it, it's just 11 players v 11 players. Instead off 22 individuals collectively making a team with their unqiue attributes. Hence the reason Real Madrid have spent the money they have this season.

and once again it is proven that the guys on WENB talk utter crap, and dont nobody try and defend them again, thats 3 years in a row they have said the game is "awesome", same as last year only to hear them bagging pes2009 on podcast the other day, they think that people are stupid obviously

disappointed, running animation, shooting animation and others are the same, but good thing is they slowed all movements of players with the ball so it doesn't look arcadish anymore

I think Messi and other star players got mocapped running, dribbles and finishing shot animations, that's where mo-cap went IMO.

disappointed but still buying it, looks miles better than 2009 which is enough for me :BAND::RSCARF::GSCARF::RSCARF:

Oh yeah. That's the big Gamescom announcement alright.

Most underwhelming trailer of the year, no doubt.
1) Old build
2) Dead faces
3) Stole a move from the old FIFA10 clip, but only much more underwhelming.
4) Does't even compare to EA's 10-minute Hollywood video.

Konami PR will never ever, EVER, stop failing. Why show 100% old footage from an old build with old animations? F.A.I.L.

I won't try and big-up the game in here again but all I'll say is try the demo, which I'm sure you will anyway. You might be surprised because it certainly brought back a lot of PES magic from years ago for me (which I always felt was missing since).

I think they don't make PES for us any more - 'us' being the more mature crowd (of all ages) who want to think about football at the same time that we're playing it. I was disappointed to see the first videos.

Why haven't Konami anticipated this and put together their own, properly captured video using the allegedly slower build, and played by a couple of their office PES ninjas?

That official Gamescom PES2010 trailer with its Messi and its Torres and its slow-mo flicks and feints might just as well have had 'Twelve years old? Come on in!' written all over it.

These god forsaken PES glasses are making things look great again.

Pity it's so long to wait, FIFA10 will have to fill the gap from the 2nd till the 23rd.

It is really different from 09, that`s my honest opinion.
At least the tactics of PES 2009 dont work at all.
Try a 180° turn and if you dont slow down extremly before it your player will just run out of the field.
The PC is much stronger as well...

Let's not be hasty. The guys at WENB, which I don't trust, said that it looks like 2009 but it feels different, so may be they're right.

We need better quality vids and if that doesn't help then we only got the demo.

if I could, I would have made a simple (means not having many teams) but realistic football game mod using Cry Engine 2 just to embarrass EA and Konami :BLEH: hehehe

the same can be said to last few PES, they just didn't feel like it used to be with playstation and early playstation2 era, became more and more robotic year after years.

Take a look at 1:14 and Del Piero.........suddenly the ball shifts to the side without getting a touch so the animation can link back up with the ball. FFS Konami, how poor are the f#$king trailers every year!

You played the game at Gamescom did you?

Please tell us:
- is the game that fast as it looks at the video's, so is it equally fast as PES 2009?
- Did you notice 360 degree control in passing and/or moving?

I feel that way too. The slower pace helps a lot imo.

Guys, I remember the PES6 demo was a different game when compared to the PES6 game. Right now, we have PESFan editor saying that this gameplay footage is "way faster" than the complete builds they were handed... And we all know GC demos are created weeks in advance...

PES6 didn't even have a demo...



edit; apologises, seems like it did, but for some reason released the same day as the full game??? So dont think i ever played it.

It s not fast at all imo...

I like it quite much;)

Seabass press conference was sooooooo long...
He told so much stuff (which was known already) and every sentence had to be translated by someone...

And he was so bored, especially during the other presentations (he sat just 2 rows in front of me)

I definately will mate. It has never ever been about animations for me, thats not what impresses me. I really believe thats the easy part. The hard part and what impressses me is the ability to make a player have every single attribute that is required to make a modern footballer and replicate it accordingly.

Vision, creativity, passing under pressure, first touch, passing speed, long and shot, passing accuracy, shooting accuracy, shooting speed, power. Strength on and off the ball. Technique, which opens up thousands of variables. Left foot, right foot usague, preference etc etc etc etc etc.

I really could go on all day long.........

For me its like, Forza and PGR, Rainbow Six and COD. They are all brilliant games, but each come from different angles. I personally prefer the Forza and Rainbow Six variations, even though the other two look better, those feel better for me.

hm, I have a vid of the press conf. too, 10 minutes long.

You should find HD versions of it on gametrailers too soon, they filmed it too.

I made photos of the player faces, if anyone is interested;)
