Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Even if the game is slower than what these videos shows, the animations are just shit.
I definately will mate. It has never ever been about animations for me, thats not what impresses me. I really believe thats the easy part. The hard part and what impressses me is the ability to make a player have every single attribute that is required to make a modern footballer and replicate it accordingly.

Vision, creativity, passing under pressure, first touch, passing speed, long and shot, passing accuracy, shooting accuracy, shooting speed, power. Strength on and off the ball. Technique, which opens up thousands of variables. Left foot, right foot usague, preference etc etc etc etc etc.

I really could go on all day long.........

For me its like, Forza and PGR, Rainbow Six and COD. They are all brilliant games, but each come from different angles. I personally prefer the Forza and Rainbow Six variations, even though the other two look better, those feel better for me.
You're right and it's an aspect of things PES has always been good but it used to be more true on the PS2.
I don't feel that much difference in players in PES2009

hm, I have a vid of the press conf. too, 10 minutes long.

You should find HD versions of it on gametrailers too soon, they filmed it too.

I made photos of the player faces, if anyone is interested;)

Then all I can honestly say to that is you havent played it enough mate. The differences are so huge I really cant even believe I'm having to write this.

Try playing 7 seasons on ML and see what differences the players make. I went from 12th place in the Premier league on my first season with Boro on regular difficulty. To the treble in my 7th season on Top Player. The players I bought, trained, improved every year to the point where I felt I'd gone as far as I could go. My sqaud became unplayable, such was the class they all had.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

i've just seen gameplay video 3

i just don't understand how can you say it's like Pes 2009

It's miles better than that

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

messi and zlatan are very reconizable.....not from the cut scenes but during gameplay/bal handeling ect.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Show me a real game of football where somebody can run down the wing in a perfect straight line, knocking the ball exactly the same distance in front of him every 5 yards.

I could have sworn football was played on grass, grass which contains friction.

:FAIL:

You are right. But in FIFA it is nearly the same.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Watch 0:56, as three players run next to each other with the exact, same, repetitive, dribbling animation. Enough said there.

1:27 --> ball-sliding-on-pool-table physics.

I also don't like how the scene freezes and the PES2010 logo appears at the end of a cutscene. It's just not realistic.

That said, I really like the grass and the lighting in the videos. Probably the only superior thing to FIFA10 so far...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

It certainly looks far more fluid, less on rails and robotic.

Turning is still PES, running is slightly improved and i like the way the ball moves with the player now, but overall it aint far off the initial video we saw a while back.

Defo far better than 09 but it does not look anywhere near a FIFA beater.

Roll on 2011:ZZZ:

That annoyed me as well;)

tbh when playing it, I concentrate on building up play and not watching the animations (which are defo better though)

Grahpics are extremly nice done too:)

360° dribbling is in too, is not that much noticable, but gives the game more realism:)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Just seen Gamersydes hi-res video and I'm shocked. I had no expectations, but I thought they were going for something better than this.

The goal in the opening: How can Messi put so much speed on the ball with a simple touch with the outside of the boot? Is it +10 in cross power-boots?

The Barcenola attack in the end: How poor is the defence? Messi runs with the ball on the right side and the defence doesn't even run in to their own box but stays outside and lets three attackers be alone with the goalkeeper that saves the ball with his knees wihtout even reacting?

THen I've not mentioned things like the running animation on the defender that is supposed to pressure Messi, etc, etc.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

1 minute 48 secs, at last a possible 360 degrees directional manual high pass. It certainly wasnt 90 or 180 degrees. These are the things I want to see.

I also notice an attempted low manual pass just before it. The power bar increased very rapidly. I hope that was because it was a defender playing the pass and the power bar will rise slower with a player with better passing stats.

Just a little word called technique ? Bearing in mind Messi is one of the worlds greatest players, he should be able to peform technique at a higher level than most. If every player did it I could accept your point.

Since when does a player in real life have to hold down his foot for 2 seconds to hit a hard pass along the ground ?

You dont need any backlift if you have technique.

Yeah, but it's physically impossible to put any kind of power into a cross if you don't move your leg more than a few centimeters, even if you have great technique. I mean, what the hell has technique to do with it? It's impossible to put that kind of power on the ball when moving your leg like Messi does there. And Henry doesn't even touch the ball with his toe, it's a decimetre away from him.

And your last point I really don't get. At all.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Its embarrassing that stuff like that is still in there, how do they not see these things?
