Hrm, I'm still suspicious. That comment about technical limitations couldn't have come from nowhere, and reeks of piss-poor lies, sorry, excuses that Konami have made down the years.

Best written preview, so far.

This part in particular, I was dreading:

Very true. Who gives a crap how amazing the players look on close ups, if the entire game will look inferior to FIFA09 from the far, wide cam view. Damn it.

Guys. The 360 control will be on PS3, 360 and PC. Difference is, 360 degrees on the PS3 can be used on both Analogue and D-pad. While on the 360 and PC, 360 degrees can only be used using the Analogue stick, not the D-pad.

EDIT: I forgot to mention IMO.

You simply can't use a d-pad for 360 movement so that article is wrong. Sounds like a stab in the dark to explain away the reported differences.

why does the news from konami always come out in such a messy fashion,i wish they had just put a ban on all info til wednesday so none of this confusion would be happening!

Maybe the hardware limitations is also referring to the abysmal D-Pad on the 360 controller. Even the D-pad on the new pad they brought out for PES 2009 was dodgy.

Yay for confirmation of 360 on the PC version :BOP:

Sorry, but help me understand how you can move 360° with the 4 d-pad buttons?

Fantastic news about everything. It really is sounding great now. Like I said earlier all we need now is the gameplay videos from Gamescom on Wednesday as that will be from the latest build with full 360 degree movement and the new motion captured animations. :)

Good news about the 360" for the usual trio, now we wait for the video blow out.

Manual Goalkeepers: PES 2010 will be the only football title to offer users complete control of the keeper. Players can switch to their goalkeeper at any time, and will enjoy total control of his actions.



New Goalkeeper Moves: Players can now perform quick under-arm throws to their nearest defender to get attacks rolling more quickly.



All-New Animation: Key animation related to dribbling, running, turning, etc, has been reworked and enhanced, creating a more natural and organic feel to the way players chase down balls, change direction and move around the pitch. The result is a more fluid and natural look to the game.

The PS3 version has 360 degree control both on the analog stick and the d-pad while the 360 and PC is only on the analog stick.
